"Great location - walkable to concert venues"

The hotel was clean and an easy walk to restaurants and the Pabst Theater and Riverside. Very nice. The bed was soft on one side and firm on the other but otherwise it was quite a bargain. And the water pressure in the shower was fabulous!

My daughter and I stayed here on 13 Nov. I'll be honest with you, I didn'tlook to see what type of parking they had here before I booked. It was $15 if I parked the car and $18 for valet parking. Certainly worth the additional $3 for someone else to park and retreive my vehicle. It is attached to a very nice mall and is very close to alot of the downtown attractions. Breakfast was great too!

The hotel was acceptable and the staff were polite and competent. The only meal we ate at the hotel was the Sunday morning buffet. Horrid is probably too extreme a term for it. But to be honest the breakfast meats, potatoes and scrambled eggs were tasteless. We'd stay there again but wouldn't eat there if we had an alternative.

Our stay went well at the Courtyard Marriot. The area is situated in downtown Milwaukee and walking distance to the Historic District, downtown dining, and the Public Market. The room was nice, and they gave us a microwave and mini fridge with request. Just call a week or so before the date and ask for it to be put in your room. That really helped since we could put our leftovers in the fridge for later snacks. The only issues I have with the room was the inconsistency with the air conditioner. It was either too hot or too cold, I couldn't seem to get it perfect. But that wasn't horrible. The cable selection available was rather low, no VH1 or MTV. And the picture on most of the local channels was fuzzy or had a lot of static. The two issues were not huge and I would stay there in the future without hesitation.

I loved how the mall was connected to the hotel. You could walk a block without even going outside. Pool and whirlpool were great, just a little small. Valet service could have been more organized.

The hotel was nice enough considering where we come from and especially the cost. It's in a good location, maybe a 2 block walk from the Amtrak train. The on'y downside of the room was on the inside of the shower curtain, it looked like someone had dirty hands and slung a little dirty water on the interior of the shower curtain and the glasses/mugs in the room were not clean. Beyond those 2 minor things, it was a good hotel. the pool is good size, the hotel connects to a mall. The location of the hotel was good in that you could walk everywhere and didn't need to drive. I overheard some people complaining at check in that the parking was 14 dollars a day, wasn't that big of deal (we live in Chicago/LA)but something to keep in mind.

Outstanding location and amazing price. My wife and I visited Milwaukee for a weekend getaway. We parked at the hotel, and never had to drive anywhere until we checked out.

No real complaints. The room was cozy and clean. Our neighbors were a little loud, but it was New Year's Eve so I guess that's to be expected. The thing I was most impressed with was the quality of the customer service! The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Their breakfast cafe was adorable. The staff were all very welcoming and helpful, and the breakfast bar was great for a hotel. They have a made-to-order omelette bar and a waffle station.

We lived in Milwaukee for a number of years and so were familiar with where we wanted to stay on a recent visit. The location of any hotel in dowtown Milwaukee will be good if you are planning a night out in downtown Milwaukee - they are all within a short walking distance or very short cab ride to the nice bars/clubs. With regard to the hotel itself - our room smelled of smoke (even though we were in a non-smoking room) and sewage (not a pretty combination). I am not sure if our room bordered a toilet pipe that was leaking fumes into the ventilation system - but that's my theory since it was worse when the heater kicked on. The bed was the worst quality I have ever slept on, and I travel extensively for my work. I would recommend the Courtyard chain overall - just not this location for the money spent.

Wish i would have brought my swimsuit for the hottub. Nice treadmills in workout room. Room was okay, very clean. Breakfast buffet was especially nice with custom omelettes and lots of healthy stuff, too.

"rates and parking"

i found the hotel to be clean and the staff very charming. however i do feel that the room price was high for the type of hotel this location is. i have stayed at many marriotts with a much nicer facility for cheaper. the second is that there is no parking for the hotel so it cost you an additional fifteen dollars to park in the parking garage next door which is how ever adjoined to the hotel. and that's fifteen dollars a day!!

"Great room for the money"

My friend and I were in town for one night and then on to Cedarburg. The hotel was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. The price is right...could be about $20 dollars less, but overall completely worth the price. I would recommend this hotel. The only downfall was that it is not close to many restaurants or bars. Only one choice for take-out.

We enjoyed breakfast both mornings because of the excellent service and great food. Our room was very clean. Housekeeping was friendly and showed initiative to make our stay comfortable. The pool area was also well kept.
