The only thing that I can say bad is the pool had been drained and closed. We wish we would have known that, However,bee didn't get in until 8:30, the desk clerk was friendly and welcoming. She gave us an excellent dinner recommendation that we could walk to easily. I definitely would recommend.

We left our laptop cord in the room. The staff found it, called me to let me know and is now going to mail it back! The hotel was very nice, the breakfast tasty, staff friendly! Highly recommended.

Best option if you are passing by or if you are going to stay for a few days. The lady in charge of the breakfast area was magnificent in accommodating for my family needs. Two wonderful restaurants just around the corner ;)

The room was very clean, neat, and pleasant. The bed covers had been washed (according to a note left by the maid), and the mattress was very comfortable. The room was quiet, the lobby attractive, and the breakfast had many choices. We would definitely go there again.

It is an alright hotel, probably won't stay there again. Room was too small for our family and we were all woke up at 3am with someone banging on the door next to us. I thought someone was trying to break our door down.

Two of the areas that were especially good were the comfortable bed (my husband usually hates hotel mattresses, but this one was so good he asked what kind it was, because we need to replace our mattress at home) and the breakfast. At most hotels that serve a free breakfast, it's hard to find much that is healthy (i.e. whole grain, high fiber, low sugar). I always like Hampton Inns because they get your day started with a fast, good breakfast. I also enjoyed the pool (warm water) and hot tub. We had plenty of room since our room had a sitting area with a sofa: the room also had a frig and microwave. Good cookies in the evening too.

The only complaint that I do have is that the room which was a smoking room really did reak of smoke. I did request a smoking room & you could really tell that it was a smoking room. Other than that it was an excellent stay. I recommend it.

However, I have to imagine that even little old Quincy, Illinois could support a mid-scale hotel...because The Hampton Inn certainly doesn't fill that gap.
