"close to the "Amrak train station"
Very disappointed in all aspects of this hotel. Poor location, no restaruants near by. Dirty neighborhood. Rooms not well appointed.A/C poor. No chair in room.
"Alright Hotel"
They were helpful in getting a ride into town, suggesting a good company, etc. I personally, didn't like the location. It doesn't look like a safe area. I was also concerned about my room while I was away, even though I was only there overnight. I'm a real private person & don't like anyone coming around my personal items when I'm out of the room. I […] keep the "Do Not Disturb" sign on the door the entire trip. When I was leaving for a little while after checking in, a customer was at the front desk complaining that the staff was in her room when she had up the "Do Not Disturb" sign. She returned to her room with items moved around & the "Do Not Disturb" sign on the inside of the door when she had it on the outside of her door. She was trying to tell if anything was missing, things were tossed about, and if they dicovered overnight that something was missing, she didn't want the person she was with, blaming her for it, thinking she stole from her. I politely told the front desk to please make sure our room was NOT disturbed, that we have the sign up also. Read more
"Comfortable Stay"
I liked my stay at Comfort Inn. The rooms are tidy with good ventilation. The restrooms are clean. Linen on bed, towels, refrigerator, internet, microwave and all other amenities they have promised are in good condition. I used all of them. The house keeping was good. I only have two things to suggest: (a) The neighborhood is a little bit run down, […] though it doesn't appear unsafe. However, the Comfort Inn campus itself is very well kept. (b) Even though I got non-smoking room, the alleys, stairwell and hallways were filled with smoke and weed smell. Once in my room, everything was good. Read more

"Comfort Inn in Los Angeles"
Internet never worked...Overall it was ok for the price...
"Unsatisfied"
Upon checking in, we were treated with a very unhappy clerk. The location of the hotel was close to LA convention center. But if yu got back to your room too late, no parking. No extra pillows or towels. Ants in the bathroom. We got Showtime and Encore, and a frig in the room. Adn a heated pool. Upon checking out the sme unhappy clerk was working a […] gian. Read more

"comfort Inn, excellent accomodations"
I was very pleased with the hotel. It was clean, comfortable and provided a nice breakfast. I would stay there again.
"The hotel comfort inn La"
I would have to say the only thing I didnt like were the ants in the bathroom. Overall the room was great and we loved the fact that our hotel was close to all of our destinations. We can not wait to come back again.
Air conditoner and heater didn't work and didn't even try to discount anything
"Dis-Comfort Inn"
If you are not already displeased with the location prior to your check in, have no fear. The room alone with not leave you with any satisfaction. In areas that will assure you get more than you pay for, the comfort inn was sure to provide suspicious spots on the comforter, a few extra holes in the bath towels to guarantee quality, but a rather fresh […] unvacuumed hallway and room. If only the hotel itself was in as adequate condition as their complementary breakfast. In other words, unless you are inquiring on a hotel with subpar conditions, but a flourishing display of microwaveable and processed breakfast bites... Do not stay here. Read more

"The Comfor Inn on 7th St in LA"
The hotel workers an front desk receptionist can be very rude at times. Also the neighborhood is very loud and sometimes can appear very ghetto.

"only if there are no other options available"
The reception was closed when I got there at 8pm, the TVs were not working hotel-wide, the one clerk could not take care of it. Plus the surrounding area is probably safe enough but looks rough, no places to grab a bite to eat for miles.
"Just A Bed!!"
Well, the first room I got smelled like a Cigar Shop and Noisy (right next to the pool), there was no parking (and they were gonna charge me for parking), the internet server did not work and then the computer in the lobby went down as well, a maiden walked in on my (lucky I was fully dressed), and the neighborhood was smacked in the middle of Little […] Mexico...seemed unsafe and did not dare walk anywhere. All in all the bed was comfortable enough. I will never stay here again. Read more
"Convenient and centralized"
The hotel was clean and the staff was very helpful. There was limited parking at night however. It was very convenient and centralized for tourist spots. The 101 and 110 were within blocks of the hotel. The neighborhood was not that bad, Latino population, and it did have a delicious bakery 2 blocks away. I would DEF stay here again!
"Lousy Service, Rotten Neighborhood"
The headline says it all; it's only half a mile or so west of downtown, but it's in another world. You don't want to step away from the hotel during the day, let alone at night.
"Nice!"
I was a little scared to stay here after seeing some of the comments but...this hotel was nice! The front desk was super friendly/helpful, room was clean, and checking in and out was easy. Nothing more I could of asked for.
"Korea Town - Comfort Inn"
Didn't know this Comfort Inn wa in Korea Town - thats not all that bad just not a great location. But it is only 1 mile to the Court house which is where I needed to be. The water in my shower never stopped running, its an old motel made over with small improvements, I had a "room upgrade" - which gave me a balcony - flat screen TV it was not a bad […] room. The continental breakfast was very popular - hard to get into the room so many takers. Needs more parking but at least it has off street parking. Nice staff Read more

"Not bad for a 1 night stay."
I had booked a 1 night stay as I was attending the 2011 Labyrinth of Jareth masquerade ball. The hotel was MUCH cheaper than the suggested "host hotel" and a heck of a lot closer too. I had paid in full before I arrived to check in. No one offered to help me get my luggage to my room. I commandeered an abandoned valet cart and moved my luggage myself. The […] room was large and clean. NO BED BUGS--you know I checked. THe front desk employees were always helpful & respectful and even wanted pictures of us in our masquerade costumes. There was adequate light and a big enough mirror for 2 people to get ready for the evening out. I did not sample the "continental breakfast" in the lobby the next morning as I was too wiped out from the festivities the night before. If the Masquerade Ball is in the same location in 2012, I will stay there again. Read more
""have to stay" hotel"
The price is pretty good, isn't it? And it nears almost every landmark of LA. It is a wonderful hotel to stay. Strongly Recommended
"Comfort Inn in Los Angeles City Centre"
Room was very basic but comfortable, as was the mattress. Wi-Fi was free and great reception. Generous continental breakfast. Neighbourhood kind of rough, but on-property parking was well lit and I had no problems. In the middle of everything, close to the House Hearing Clinic, and a few miles from Holliwood/Beverly Hills...
"Surroundingsof Hotel Not the Best"
The hotel was nice inside and out the rooms were very well kept but the area the hotel was located was not so nice.Would stay there my next stay location was centrally located if your doing anything in the downtown area.
"Great Hotel and convenient."
Great hotel and convenient to the Staples Center. The neighborhood wasn't that great, but it was close to everything I wanted to see and go do.

"not clean"
I went to stay there and there was used condoms on the front porch and in side of the hotel there was roches. The air conditioner didn't work and the tv also. This place I don't recommend it to no one it should close down sence is not clean.
"Visiting Staples Center/Club Nokia - Perfect Stay!"
We were in LA for a function at Club Nokia (right next to Staples Center). This hotel is most deffinitely the place to stay if you're on a budget but still want a clean and comfortable stay. We stayed two nights and have no complaints about the hotel's cleanliness. Both myself and my husband were comfortable in our two bed/balcony room. The television […] reception was horrible though. We tried watching a movie but it kept cutting out. There were many Asian news channels if that's your thing. We ended up watching the local news channel the whole time. We took a two minute cab ride to our event which wasn't bad at all! There aren't any fast food restaraunts around if you're planning on getting a late night quick bite to eat. During the day we did walk across the street to get an energy drink. The hotel area is nice but once you leave the parking lot it's a whole nother story. The surrounding area is an eye sore. We felt safe while walking across the street, but did not do any walking around at night time though. My car was safe in the parking lot and I did not eat the continental breakfast so can't give an opinion on that. Overall, I would recommend this hotel. The complaints I have would not prevent me from staying there again! Hope my review helps. Read more

"A disappointment... to say the least"
I stayed here several years ago and it seems like this hotel has gone by the wayside. I was given a room and when I arrived, it wasn't even cleaned yet. The maids were just cleaning it up and doing a hurried job as they saw that we were waiting outside. It was already 6pm mind you. Our room was not in an acceptable condition. The bathroom door knob […] was about to fall off, the t.v. had about 3 stations that worked, the knob on the ac unit was broken, and there were brown stains on the comforter. I enjoyed my stay here years ago but now I don't think I would go back. There is also a charge for parking. The best thing about this hotel is the location. Very close proximity to downtown. "COMFORT INN, WORST MOTEL IN LA BY FAR!!!"
I was very unhappy in my 2 nights stay in this place. 2 out of 7 channel on TV doesn't work, and when i complained about it , front desk lady said that problem is in every room, The motel is in the middle of downtown close to garment district, Very noisy, All i hear all night are the police siren, helicopter , car and trucks outside, and a lot of homeless […] people hanging around outside the motel. I would never ever stay in this hotel again. !!! Read more
"Diamond in the rough"
Don't listen to the bad reviews. I stayed here just because of the price and location. I don't regret it at all. I was cautious because of reviews I've read here. So to debunk a few of them: 1. Lots of parking in the back(just drive around) in the event that you can't park up front. It's more secure back there anyway because there's a giant brick wall […] that surrounds the parking structure back there. It's well lit and has video surveillance. Not a far walk to rooms at all. The property is small. 2. Room was spotless and has a fridge/microwave. 3. Plumbing and AC worked as it should. Shower head does give a small amount of water, but it's to conserve water and minimize the expense of guests. 4. There's a shady neighborhood nearby, but there's also an upscale rich neighborhood nearby as well. 5. Free breakfast(cereal, waffles, fruits, toast, muffins, orange juice, milk, coffee, apple juice, water, and chocolate). This alone spared the cost of paying for breakfast somewhere. 6. Lobby is just as pictured. It's clean and looks new. 7. Service was great. The front desk attendant was always busy working and trying to accommodate to customers as quickly as possible. 8. Cost is fair unlike other hotels in the same area. It's unjust to charge so much for a weeknight only because it's close to downtown. Other hotels probably have service that pales in comparison to this one and yet charge more money. 9. Size of room is standard. Maybe about 550-650 sq feet. Were you expecting a house or a clean room to sleep for the night? Overall, I'd recommend this place to friends and family. It's not at all ghetto. I'm thinking people who reviewed this place, probably checked in at night and saw a bum pushing a trash bag filled cart down the street. So that automatically makes them fear the neighborhood is dangerous and lower class. It's not at all though. That's typical in Los Angeles... You have Rodeo Drive on one side and skid row on the other. If you're on a budget and want to Read more

"Comfort Inn Los Angeles City Center"
The hotelroom was nice and clean. We got a good price for our stay, so I think we got alot compared to what we payed. The breakfast was a dissapointment, dough. Everyone was squized into a tiny room, and the selection was not good either.

"nice, solid, comfortable"
I had a short stay, but there was nothing I could complain about -- everything about this place was a very good value.
The room was clean and comfortable. Near by to most of the places.
"The price was ok for the location"
The location is cool if you are attending an event at the Nokia theatre or Staple Center. It was about a mile away and it was cheap to get a cab,it runs around $12 for the fancy cab and around $7 for the yellow cab, even though they will tell you they cost about the same. The room did not have any face towels and it did not have any other extra towels […] like most other hotels have. You have to pay to park in their lot, but for me I found out I paid double. At check out you have the option to pay cash or put it on your card. I chose to pay cash and I just found out when I checked my bank account that they also took the money from my card. So, if they give you an option when checking out, have them take it from your card so you don't be charged twice. Read more
"comfort inn city center, los angeles, ca"
the hotel front desk generally friendly and supportive but they should furnish guests with street maps. neighborhood isn't the best. a homeless encampment about two blocks away so, worlds collide! still, quite cheap if you don't mind some urban grit.
I was not expecting a high-class hotel, and feared that I was getting an inferior hotel. However, I was pleasantly surprised. It was clean and orderly, well maintained, and it offered a breakfast and internet. I was able to walk to downtown without any problems. For the price and location it was definitely worth staying in this hotel.
If you need a place to stay while in downtown then it's a great hotel. Great service and the staff was accommodating.

"Comfort Inn - good enough"
The rooms were really very nice and overlooked the pool. The HVAC knobs had most of the labels rubbed off, but we were able to figure it out. The breakfast was good, as far as it went (cereal, waffle maker, a few baked goods and fruit, juice milk and coffee - the basics but nothing extraordinary). The drink vending machines were inadequate, ranging […] from outright non-functional to mostly out of product. There was not enough parking, we ended up parking across the street every night and were lucky to find a spot at all. Still, overall very comfortable for the price. Read more
