"Canberra side trip"
Took a day and a half to visit Canberra and stayed at this property. The room was extremely generous in size and the staff at the hotel were fantastic and helpful at every turn for a first time Canberra visitor. The location of the hotel is on one of the main bus lines making it easy to get around, only a few blocks from the main shopping and entertainment […] area, the main city bus depot, and the Jollimont Centre if one is busing to/from Sydney. The only downside was the room was a bit cold and given the size of the room took a while to warm up. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great staff, not quite 4*"
We had a lovely stay, for 3 nights at a special, mystery hotel, rate. We had friendly, helpful staff but have one complaint, and a minor annoyance: The complaint was that there was no power point on one side of the bed. A definite negative in the age of rechargeable e-readers, laptops, phones, etc. After 2 different attempts we were able to secure an […] extension cord. The other annoyance was the pool was also only about 10m long, so, no laps. Other than those things, the hotel is comfortable, great housekeeping, typical chain type hotel. We didn't use the restaurant or bar so I can't comment about that. There are some rough edges but overall a pleasant stay. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Good Deal in Expensive Canberra"
This is a nice hotel, especially for the price. I have been in Canberra for two weeks and this is by far the best quality for the price. I had a great sleep and the staff were friendly. It is a convenient walk to the dining spots in London Circuit, and about 20 minutes to ANU. Hotels in general are super expensive in Canberra and this hotel is quite […] nice and not far from the action. Highly recommended. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Good location in canberra cbd"
This hotel was okay for a one night stay but wouldn't want to stay longer. Hotel is comfortable but quite old which made the room quite noisy from outside hotel due to thin windows so traffic and people noise was annoying through the night, also ac/heater was something out of a museum and was the noisiest, rattling thing you could get. They have spent […] money tidying place but failed to spend on important areas in the rooms. Pool is pretty cool in the basement. Also parking at an additional cost in your own car park, just put it in the room rate. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Overpriced but handy"
Close to city and all other attraction. But overpriced.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Close to the CBD, great location, can walk to CBD"
Had problems with no room on arrival. Came back a couple of hours later and my room was given to someone else with a similar name. Given another room, but when I arrived at this room someone else was already in the room. Went back to reception and was then given an upgraded room which was very nice. As I had booked my room through Expedia a good couple […] of months earlier and had received a confirmation saving my room was reserved, I found this experience a bit off putting. However the upgrade was excellent and the motel itself was excellent, (location and price). Felt the staff I dealt with lacked professionalism, perhaps they were new. Service was good & bad depending on the reception consierge I found that the Location was excellent especially for my needs at the time However although the Meal Staff were very good The Breakfast was very poor & the range was limited Parking spaces were limited & there was no other off street parking a cost of $12.00 per night when you pay an average […] of over $200.00 per night was a bit rich Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good hotel but very expensive"
Cheapest place I could find on hotels.com near the courthouse. But still not all that cheap.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice enough hotel"
It's a nice enough hotel, however the staff at the front desk could barely manage a smile whilst I checked in. The fire alarm went off twice in the middle of the night, on check out the receptionist asked if I had a good nights sleep, clearly the staff can't communicate between shifts! Rooms are ok, couple of years old and clean enough, with standard […] art work of Canberra throughout. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Mantra on Northbourne is in an ideal location. Only a short walk to great restaurants, shopping. Staff were friendly and helpful. The only disappointing aspect was the lack of cleaning the room was given on the second day.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good location, easy to find, everything went well"
Guest stay. Try not to get room 111 as it is close to the parking garage and you can hear the door open and close.Genuine Expedia guest review
I was attracted by the online discount but I thought the reduced price simply matches what I would pay for it normally. A nice hotel to stay and rest. Definitely worth a visit.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Very small room and dirty bathroom"
We were very excited to be staying at the Mantra. Upon arrival the entrance was lovely and customer service was great. The problem was our room was very small and the bathroom was dirty and the shower was filthy and had terrible facilitiesGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Not worth the money!"
Over priced buffet ($25 pp) with poor quality and limited quantity. Even scramble egg tasted awful! Narrow front entrance and traffic got stuck in front. Selfish drivers left in front and other cars can't get through!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Ideal location in Canberra"
Mantra on Northbourne is a well appointed hotel close to the heart of Canberra. Staff excellent. Rooms well maintained.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Motel style for a hotal price."
The booking site allows you to specify two single rooms but the hotel doesn't receive this information, so be warned if you're not keen on sharing a bed. The facilities are ok, looks like it could do with a face lift and parking is not complimentary. Overall I'd almost describe it as mutton dressed as lamb, you pay a hotel price for something that's […] not much better than a motel experience. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
We was really enjoying breakfast there. My daughter left her necklace in hotel. They sent back to us on next day.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Would pay extra and stay elsewhere"
Booked two nights to attend Floriade. Bought the Floriade Hamper Package thinking that we would actually get a hamper, something we could take with us to Floriade. In my mind a hamper is perhaps some crackers, cheese, maybe some fruit. The "hamper" consisted of a bottle of wine. The room itself was ok but the bathroom was very dated. The vents were […] dirty and there was mould build up in the shower recess. The taps were horrible, the water was either cold or very hot, nothing in between. The other issue I had was between the two of us there was one face, one bathmat and two towels. No handtowels were available. This has put dampener on the Mantra name for me. We have stayed at other Mantras and this one just didn't cut it. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

Stayed here the long weekend for sons sports tournament and found this hotel to be very nice. the staff was fresh and friendly like they enjoyed working there, which is always a good sign. the food was very nice with the buffet breakfast each morning.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Clean and very satisfactory"
i love it, the staff are courteous, very clean but sometimes the noise from the parking is heard from the room. But the overall experience is wonderful.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Expensive for what it is, and no atmosphere"
The room was disappointing - it felt more like a dormitory, and the bathroom was dated and smelt of urine. The hotel charges $25 for one day of internet which is hefty, when most hotels offer it for free now. The breakfast was expensive too, and not particularly appealing. Definitely not good value for money.Genuine Expedia guest review
I was offered an upgrade which was lovely. Staff members are very helpful.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Great service, Fantastic Location"
The hotel was clean, I had asked for a room with a Balcony because I am a smoker and as high up as possible. The staff were able to get us a room on the top floor but no balcony so I had to go all the way to the ground floor and outside for a cigarette. The room was clean and nice but the bathroom needed updating and the pillows were like sleeping on […] rocks. But the staff were lovely and the location was close to everything. "Mantra hotel canberra"
The hotel charges for using a credit card. This was not made evident when the imprint of my card was made when I checked in. A small sign is on the counter, which is not legible. The hotel should have a larger sign and inform clients of the charge when they take the imprint.Genuine Expedia guest review

"great with a kitchenette"
We hadn't expected to find a little kitchenette with cooker, microwave, fridge etc, and a separare living room/bedroom when we checked in. So that was why we thought the room was so good. Especially because there was some sort of error with the booking and our Expedia receipt I thought said breakfast was included but when we got there they said it wasn't […] - anyway with kitchenette, we just looked after ourselves. Great location - staff were lovely - though I'm not really sure it was serviced everyday... think at times the bed covers were just pulled up without even being made. Otherwise a great stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Adina better than Mantra"
Our room for a family was disappointingly small. I was told it would have a queen, two singles, and I got a foldout sofa and foldaway single squished into an already small living area. The main bedroom of this two bed apartment was lovely so suited to couples.the only bathroom was in the master bedroom - not ideal. Breakfast included was good but had […] to wait ten minutes to get in and had to ask for fresh things to be restocked. Spent an extra night in Canberra and stayed at the Adina Apartments. Much better and bigger rooms with separate bedrooms (two) and two bathrooms. Huge kitchen and spa and heaps cheaper. Much better service too and Andrea went over and above helping to accommodate us with short notice on Easter Sunday. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Close proximity to everything."
We were more than happy with the accommodation at Mantra on Northbourne except for one thing! There was a charge for parking which was not mentioned when booking. I can't recall ever paying for parking in a hotel of this standard. Also, my Visa card was rejected on the machine at the front desk. Seeing there was a goodly sum of credit available, I was […] somewhat embarrassed in front of other guests checking out at the same time. All things considered though, it is centrally located and we enjoyed our very spacious apartment! "Beauty is only skin deep........"
I arrived late due to plane issues and was the 2nd last person to check in. I had booked a hotel room and when I was given my card and went to my room, I realised I was placed in a 1 bedroom apartment. The room was very old, in serious need of paint, the bed was incredibly uncomfortable and the lounge was from the 80s...but worse of all was it was room […] 109 which faced out on to a lane way that led to the underground car park - it was extremely noisy and there were people outside making noise till well into 2.00 am in the morning. I love upgrades, but only if they are better than the original booking! On checkout I did mention this to the pleasant girl at reception, but her comment was that as I was late, no hotel rooms were left so I was upgrade to a 1 bedroom - she suggested that in future when I book I ensure I write please do not upgrade - I didn't tell her I wouldn't be staying there again :( Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Good size 1 bed apartment"
Large 1 bedroom apartment with huge bathroom and great shower. Breakfast was included and we did better on the 2nd morning, having learnt the system. Found it was in a good location to get about as we did not have a car. Have already recommended to friends.Genuine Expedia guest review
