We had an early flight next morning so being 5 minutes from the airport was great. It was easy getting in and out of the hotel. Three restaurants within 5 minute walk. Room was roomy and clean and reasonably updated. Wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

Have stayed here before and hotel is nice, but bad experience this time. A couple checked in next door around 9pm, and don't know what they were doing, but the woman could be heard chanting and talking loudly until 4am. Something weird going on - sounded like she was trying to hypnotize someone or conduct a seance. Everything about this hotel was great - with one exception. We stayed one night, when I got up int he morning, I had broken out in a rash. I am extrememly allergic to detergents, I can only surmise I reacted to the detergent they use. We won't be staying at this hotel again!

The room was spacious, clean and the bed extremely comfortable. The breakfast was one of the best that I have had at a hotel that offers a continental breakfast. I will definitely stay here again when I visit this area again. The staff was very helpful.

The hotel bathrooms needs updated. The shower was a wall surround and there were gaps in the wall. The showerhead was more of a big drip instead of a stream. The bath floor was not thoroughly cleaned prior to when we arrived. I found toenail clippings under the vanity. Will choose another hotel chain next time.

Check-in/out was the fastest I think I have ever experienced. Beds were pretty firm, which is not my preferred type of bed. Location was very close to the airport, which is why I stayed here. Looked like a nice indoor pool.

Old style TVs... Toilet had a leak and kept "whooshing" every 5 minutes. Good location but this hotel really needs an upgrade... I'd say this is just (almost) a 2 star hotel.

The beds could have been a little more comfortable and the towels could definately been softer. The towels were actually a bit rough. However the room was clean. Our toilet ran about every half hour or so. However, I didn't realize it was our toilet until sometime during the night so I didn't report it. At first I thought it was water usage in another […] room, until I noticed it was at regular intervals. Also, I was disappointed that the continental breakfast didn't serve coffee (at least I couldn't find any evidence of coffee), so I took my food back to my room and made a cup with the little pot in my room, but it wasn't very good.The only other thing that would have made the stay more comfortable would have been a snack machine since we arrived late and wanted something to nibble on. The snacks by the check-in were too expensive. I wasn't about to pay $2.00 for a cany bar or small bag of potato chips. Read more

We stayed here the night before we flew to Disney. The receptionist gave us a 10% off coupon to Texas Roadhouse, which is across the street and we were able to keep our car in the parking lot while we were gone for a week. My daughter, her girlfriend and I went to check out a local college. It was literally right down the road. Places to eat w/out even having to cross the street. Rooms and bath were clean! Didn't feel like we were going to pick up anything when we walked in. Mini fridge was nice to have for left overs and drinks. Beds were ok but the queen sized seemed […] smaller than i thought they would be. Pool was definitely not for a swim but ok for the kids. Comfortable hotel far enough away from the airport that you don't feel like you are staying on one but close enough to make it an easy trip. Also close (within 5 min drive) to various good restaurants. As long as your not expecting a 5 star property this will make for an enjoyable stay.

The hotel staff was friendly and the overall condition of the hotel was decent. The only issues I had in my room were a broken toilet seat and an older TV with bad reception on some channels. Other than that, everything was fine. Breakfast included in the price was nice. It's not the quality of eating breakfast in a restaurant, but it's convenient […] and was fine. The hotels around TYS are pretty sketchy. I've stayed in most of them, and the HIE is by far the best. You'll pay a little more, but the free cookies, free no-password inroom internet, and good breakfast are all worth it. If you're a healthy eater like me, you can even have boiled egg whites and oatmeal for breakfast! (Hahahaha, I know that's not exciting […] to many people, but when you travel as much as I do and don't want to gain weight, it's important!) The front desk person, Suki, was amazingly helpful and the room was plush. Would stay again in a heartbeat, maybe just for fun, to use the heated pool! Read more
