Four Points by Sheraton Bur Dubai - Dubai

This hotel is 10 min walk from BurJuman metro station, also the place where the Big Bus picks you up. I upgraded to an executive room which included breakfast and wifi for a reasonable price. Don't eat lunch in the main restaurant, however, overpriced and bad food.

I chose this hotel because of the "location" it boasts! Location was not so great. The hotel also offers free shuttle service to nearby areask if it does, I never saw a shuttle. In fact, I took one of the hotel "taxi's" and paid about 40 dirham extra then I would have if I had just used a regular city taxi. The driver assured me it would only be about […] a 5-10 dirham difference. The room I chose, at this hotel, also described that I would have wi-fi service, with no surcharge. This did not happen either. When I spoke with the hotel manager he said it was just in the lobby area that wi-fi was free. I had to bring down my computer and show him the room description. Instead of waiving my wi-fi fee they did give me half-off the price. So I still paid about 75 dollars for 5 days of service. Had I wanted to pay an extra 150 dollars I would have stayed in a different hotel. Also, the room described, by the hotel, stated that I would have a jetted bathtub and seperate shower. As a frequent traveler, I was very excited about this. However, once I got to the room I was quickly let down as there was no jetted tub or seperate shower. Just the normal two-in-one shower. Lastly, my bed spread had a few stains on it which was kind of disconcerning. Clean and staffed by friendly people, this hotel is 1/2 block from metro station on a main street with lots of taxis but not much street noise. Problems were quickly resolved and the room was very comfortable

Great location: <2min walk to metro green line, station is one stop away from red line transfer, supermarket next door, many shops and restaurants nearby. Rooms are large, clean, and comfortable. Only complaint is the shower water temperature fluctuated greatly on its own.

We stayed at this hotel by mistake. There are two Sheraton 4 Points Hotels in the same vicinity of Bur Dubai. This turned out to be a very comfortable stay, with a good pub/bar, good Indian restaurant, reasonable breakfast, sports channels for live sport, convenient location, very helpful staff and all for a price that was very competitive when all […] the other hotels around Sheikh Zayed highway were about 50% or more in price. Me and wife enjoyed our stay. The room was comfortable. The mattress on the King bed made for a very relaxing and hypnotizing sleep. The meals breakfast and dinner was great. The location was good and very close to the metro lines (both green and red). The neighborhood can seem suspicious although found it to be safe. The hotel rooms are kept up and were comfortable. This hotel is in the old part of Dubai right between metro stops for both of Dubai's metro lines. The red line is approximately two blocks away and the green line is one block away. When we arrived we were met by staff who were interested in helping us with our luggage, stored it for us and a concierge who explained all our options in terms of tours. My friend was not even a customer and just there for the day and they stored her luggage, printed out her boarding pass for her and helped her with a taxi to the airport. The hotel was clean. My floor was peaceful and quiet. The staff was professional, friendly, helpful and courteous. The "executive" suites were about the same size, and with the same amenities as a "basic" hotel room in the states. No microwave either. However, The bed was Huge, clean and so comfortable. There was not much of a view. The pool was kinda […] small, and no hotel night-time activities or pool parties (booo). They do have a nice jacuzzi. The salon also caters to men, I got an excellent shave and a haircut. There is no nightclub in the hotel, but there are two clubs within walking distance. The pub and the restaurant were very good. Room service was great and the food was delicious. The breakfast buffet is open until 1030 and the food selection is better than standard. Not a lot of children there either, which was great 4 me. This is not a Brady Bunch hotel, filled with a bunch of screaming brats. The staff does not hassle you, and they are very discreet if you invite "guests" back to the hotel. This hotel is out of league considering it is a Sheraton Hotel. The only big selling point is its ideal location especially for tourists considering its located very close to Burjuman Metro station (Red line) which covers mostly all of Dubai's attractions. They need to upgrade this hotel very soon in order to sell it as a Sheraton league hotel going forward.
