For a business trip to Elko, it is among my favorite spots. Right off of the freeway with a terrific view. Clean enough. Comfortable enough. Lots of eye candy from the mines, construction and the railroad stay there.

Rude staff, dirty room, broken bed, tv did not work, bathroom exhaust fan sounded like a 747 taking off and prior requests were not fulfilled!! Not worth $10 a night!! Scum bag roach motel!!

It was far from the venue and I had to drive everywhere. They said it was pet friendly but I was told I could not leave my pet in the room by herself, this limited my ability to go to the shows for this Cowboy Poetry Weekend..

From the outside it looks like a fine hotel in a fine area. However from opening the door to the lobby it was dirty, smelly and never got better. Poorly designed and furnished like a pay by the hour New York hotel. Not comfortable at all. Save your money and go to a Motel 6.

I was traveling for business. On the first night, I had to switch the room because the bed felt like if I was sleeping on a box-spring. The third night, I was woken up before 7 am to maintaince being done in the room next door. On the fourth day, my key card did NOT work as I try to enter my room, so I had to go back to the front desk to inquire about […] it. They said it was just a mistake. Their website rants about this place being directed to conform and sleep with no noise from the next rooms, hearing TVs, people in the hallway, no lights from the hallway, and full breakfast; however I could hear the next room people talking, the lights could been seen from under the door, there was NO BREAKFAST AT ALL, the receptionist were not friendly, I had to switch a room because the bed was so unconfortable, and I had to buy clorox wipes to clean the romote because it was filthy, the front door handle because it has some "white residue", and the wireless internet was not working properly at all during the five-day stay. I always stay at the Oak Tree Inn when i go to elko. The price is medium range the rooms always clean and it is super close to Walmart, Kmart, Dennys and the Movie Theater. My only complant is the access to the first floor. (one door)

Staff was not at all helpful, or accommodating. the room was not all that, and the next day they sent workers to the room next to us to start drilling and hammering before 8 in the morning. Not to happy being that we had been on a long and stressful trip and was looking forward to some rest.

we got there at 3pm was told room was not ready it would be ten minutes. So we went to look at the town came back after 1 hr. Room was still not done. Went to lobby was told 10 more minutes, ok. asked receptionist if she had a map of town. And if she could show me where on the map we were. Was very rude and was ignored. I checked in later in the day, around 9pm. The hotel sits on the west side of town. Lots of restaurants and grocery options close by and a Mavricks gas station. The front desk attended was not especially helpful, but I did get a room, and some information regarding the "Free" breakfast. MORE PARKING in the back of the hotel. The room itself is a standard […] room. Old tube-style tv but there was a fridge and a microwave. Bed is alright for comfort but nothing fancy. Clean sheets. There is a smell about the room, not fresh. Stale. The shower and bathroom were clean. Bath towel is napkin sized. Sink was outside the bathroom in my room. Ice is only on the 2nd and 1st floor. Check out is 11am. The free breakfast is not on property and not free. It is a $5.00 off coupon good at two different locations. Both within a mile of the hotel. I suggest Cimmeron West which is over the highway. The nightly rate seemed high for what I got. The room did its job, and I got to sleep. This hotel is no great shakes, but adequate if all you need is a place to sleep. We were there for three nights to attend a funeral. The first day our room was serviced by housekeeping, but not the second - we had to go to the front desk to get replacement towels, coffee packet, etc. This hotel caters to local miners who live there instead of in apartments […] (common throughout Elko). Apparently our third night (a Saturday) was pay day - loud partying in the hallways from about 9 to 11 pm! The bed was a mattress on a piece of plywood; hard and uncomfortable. Room size was good; television provided lots of options. Having refrigerator and microwave in room was good (especially since there's no breakfast provided). It was adequate, but next time we visit Elko, we'll be staying elsewhere. Read more

The room was fine, but I travel for business. The internet was not stable, and most importantly there was not a coffee maker in the room, and there was not coffee in the lobby. Even the cheapest of hotels have this convenience. I won't stay there again.

Room had an odd smell. Was placed into a handicap equipped room. Closet was in the bath area making it unusable if you don't want damp close after a shower. TV was old tube type.

Dirty and not friendly staff. Garbage in hall that smelled so rotten that I had to take it outside myself. After it sat for a hole day and night. Rooms have been worked over with paint and rushed through it. Soap not any good to use.

The motel was very convenient to Interstate 80. The room was very clean and had a small fridge and microwave. The shower had plenty of water pressure. I found the bed too hard for me, but if you like hard beds, it would be fine.
