    The hotel was clean and conveniently located to everything we needed to get to - the Alamo, great places to eat and the Riverwalk. The room service was not very good though - we had to call them several times just to get extra coffee, and robes, and the room service food was overpriced and not the best quality.

    The hotel was great as were the staff. The only problem was a sewer like smell in the bathroom at times. When I notified the hotel staff they acted prompted. Oherwise the accommodations were great.

    Our room had a few problems: 1. Bathroom sink was clogged 2. I'm allergic to feathers/down and when I requested the Westin down alternative pillows as advertised, I was told they only had foam pillows to replace the down pillows 3. There was no information book in the room, we had to guess at how to call the front desk and we would have benefited from a channel list for the TV. 4. Although the phone had 2 lines--line 1 didn't work as I discovered after trying to call the front desk repeatedly. 5. When I asked about wireless internet I was told it only worked in the lobby---I discovered on the last day of the stay that it worked in the rooms also--would've saved me alot of trips up and down in the elevator. On the up side: It is conveniently located to the Mercado and the Riverwalk, the "heavenly dual showerhead" was great and the counter for snacks and breakfast was super.

    This was a great place to stay. Our room was clean and comfortable. The heavenly bed and shower made this stay great. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. I already knew the valet was $30.00 nightly so I was already prepared. The desk told me about the parking across the street but I liked the convienence of valet. The concierge was super helpful and knowledgeable and there is a kiosk to print your boarding passes for free, which is nice touch! I would recommend this hotel and I really enjoyed my stay.

    we paid for the river view but we didnt get that, the valet took forever but the staff were very friendly. btw the valet is 30 not 25. it was confortable.

    My family and I only stayed for an overnight visit. The valet service took a while when we first got there. But, that was when everyone else was entering and leaving the place. So, I got out to check in while my family stayed in the car. Checking in was rapidly fast and easy. The rooms were nice but the best part of the rooms were the beds. Very nice pillow top with nice linens. Very comfortable and relaxing stay. Express check out was painless and the valet was not too long leaving. Have stayed here before and will stay again. I stayed at The Hotel Contessa next door which was nice as well. But, I have stayed here before and will stay here again. Because, I sleep better at the Westin.

    this was a great hotel, with great service. but the extra cost like parking and the cost of the room was a little pricey. the resturant in the hotel not so great food with outragous pricing.

    We had a great room with such comfy beds...and even comfy pillows (rare in hotels lol). Everyone we encountered was friendly but not intrusive...and made us feel like we were special.......and probably do that with everyone who goes there.......I would definitely recommend this place to others!

    The hotel is located on the quieter side of the Riverwalk. We enjoyed walking the Riverwalk on the quieter side where you didn't have to bump into people and you could have a conversation without yelling. Service was excellent, room was clean. We had a room overlooking the city (rather than the Riverwalk). I don't think it makes a big difference which side you stay on. I have read other reviews complaining about the overnight parking fee. Just be aware of it. If you want, there are many parking garages located right within Westin's vicnity. Zocca is an Italian restaurant attached to the Westin. Good dining with an excellent outdoor area.

    We stayed 4 nights at the Westin. During the entire stay, the hotel service was superior. Ideal location; close approximate to the riverwalk entertainment & restaurants. The Westin Riverwalk is one of our favorite hotels and will be returning again.

    This is a great hotel with luxury and quality. The rooms are super clean, and the heavenly beds are more than worth the price. Location was awsome as it was very close to resturants and clubs on the riverwalk. The breakfast buffet is a deal if you have kids under 5 yrs old. Plus it was easy to drive to all the attractions. Valet parking was a bit steep at $25 a night, but its copetive with the alternatives. Also to avoid issues with valet service use the express call button saves time and aggravation.

    It was a very nice hotel but nothing was free with your stay, no free newspaper, no breakfast, no free internet. Overall not a great deal for the money. We will not stay here anymore when other places offer so much more for less.

    We really enjoyed our stay. The staff is AMAZING! And for that reason, I'd stay there again. The only drawback is that the location isn't as close to everything as we would have liked. Also, the spa was nice, but considering the price- it wasn't up to the pricey standards. They need a relaxation room, you could hear the pool party while getting a massage...etc. I wasn't happy with the spa. However, the gym is AMAAAAZING!!! It's wonderful and worth staying there just for the full gym, the really comfy rooms and the wonderful staff- they will help you with anything. Also, if you stay there, keep your do not disturb sign up because they come at totally different time (9am, 2PM, 6Pm) everyday...I didn't like that...and we didn't have a good waiter in the resturant downstairs...seemed too busy...took forever to get food, check. etc. Enjoy your stay, everyone!

    This hotel has a great location;it is right on the quiet part of the Riverwalk. However we had major problems with the service of the hotel staff and the condition of our room. We encountered problems with: luggage delivery, concierge services, front desk services, toilet and tub plumbing, room cleanliness, stained carpets and furniture, air conditioning, expensive parking...it just went on and on. We finally went to check out a day early but we couldn't because we had prepaid online and the hotel wouldn't refund our money. The management did try to resolve some of the problems though by moving us to a different room and offering us dinner on the house. Unfortunately, our new room had the exact same problems as the previous one. I expected a 4-star quality facility and service, however the Westin did not deliver it.

    The tub didn't drain properly. it was very slow and you stood in your dirty water when you took a shower. there was a rusty pipe in the ceiling above the shower. the air conditioner was far inadequate. We set it to the lowest setting possible. there fan never really seemed to kick into gear. the temp didn't get below 68 at any point. we asked for someone to look at it twice. the hotel staff did not have much knowledge of the area for directions or suggestions of eateries.

    VERY nice hotel. Resonably priced for the location and market. But $5.00 for a bottle of water that was placed in room? Went to look up and print boarding passes, had to pay to use the computer and got charged for each page I had to print. To pull up and print 4 passes I paid $16.00

    Hotel is in great location and overall a good establishment. Problems at checkin (sent to room that was not ready twice). Although my wife is obsviously pregnant (6 months), staff was rude and unhelpful. HOTEL ABSOLUTELY NEEDS A NEW FRONT DESK MANAGER that understands customer service ! Otherwise, very good restaurant (excellent soup there).

    Pros: 1. Very beautiful and elegant decor 2. Great location in relation to the Riverwalk and close to the downtown mall 3. Extremely comfortable "Heavenly Beds" and spa style bathrooms, flat screen TV's, and well appointed amenities in rooms. 4. Pleasant housekeeping staff and maintenance people 5. Centrally located in San Antonio in a safer area than many of the hotels. Cons: 1. Don't bother to waste the extra money on a "riverview" unless you are on the lower floors. The upper floors have a small space where you can see the river from your patio but mostly you look at the air conditioning units on the buildings opposite the rooms. 2. Getting your car here is a nightmare. The valets do their best but because of the shape of the building it is a constant mess. Also you pay $25/day without valet tips which is a lot for not having convenient in/out abilities. There was a line on the last day of over 20 people just trying to leave the hotel. 3. The restaurant, Zucco, is beautifully situated on the river. However, the service for breakfast is the WORST I have had in years. It took 20 min. to get just coffee!!! Then it took another 10 to get cream?!? The staff had trouble with the language at times and also seemed confused and disorganized. At one point I was going to get up and leave but figured it wasn't worth it at that point. The food was great, but very pricey for what we received in service. I was very displeased. Next time I am in San Antonio I will be staying at a different hotel than this one. We were in town for a wedding and friends stayed in hotels that had much better service for much less money.

    Outstanding Hotel and location and overall quality of surrounding is beautiful. The one draew back is the valet parking is an $25 per night extra charge and they are extremely slow in retrieving your car but nice and courteous nonetheless.

    The location was great, but the overall experience was less than expected. Your only parking options are valet (at 25 bucks a night) or public parking garages. That being said we used the valet and it was nice to be able to call ahead and have your vehicle brought up and waiting for you when you make it downstairs. The room was nice. Nothing oober great but nice. The staff was above average in friendliness (sp?) and helpful is solving any 'issues' we came across. The best point about the hotel is its location to the Riverwalk. We were not on the busy portion but no more than a 2 minute walk to get to the restaurants or nightlife. At the end of the night the walk back down a tamer (and much less busy) section of the riverwalk was very nice for conversation, sitting, romance, etc... I was OK with the overall experience but would probably choose another hotel next time i visit the Riverwalk because my Westin experience was nothing special, i left neither satisfied or dissatisfied...

    If you pay top dollar for a -- supposedly "deluxe" -- hotel room, I do expect to find a free bottle of water in the room, in stead of a bottle with a $5.00 price tag!!! In the bathroom, there wasn't even a shower cap!! What's next? Do we bring our own sheets??

    Overall the hotel was a very nice hotel to stay in it was clean the staff was very polite and friendly. Its location was in walking distance to alot of attractions...The only thing that kinda bothered me was the cold water in the room and the fact that i had to call for a crib 3times. but other than that i would recomend it.

    I'm not cheap but $5.00 a bottle for water, $5.95 for 15 min of internet to check return flight and $.75 a page for black and white print page seems excessive. I thought it tacky to provide a price list of everything in the room. Very nice hotel though
