i am not sure which i was more concerned about, the two men in the pool area with only underware on going into and out of the bathroom together or the stench coming out of the "clean" toliet when we entered our room.....

This hotel was the best priced that was close to our event. It was clean and the staff were friendly. The bed was surprizingly comfortable It's a little run down but we only were in our room for a few hours. I'd stay there again if its only for 1 night nothing longer.

While the pictures of the hotel and reality are similar to the online dating experience where one is better than the other, we were actually really happy with our stay. They were able to check us in HOURS early (after 7 hours of travel, this was indescribably appreciated) and were otherwise accommodating in almost every way. However, the cleaning crew […] never once really checked in with us to empty garbage, freshen up linens or provide new toiletries. In fact, we didn't have any toiletries in our room when we checked in , but we let it go since they checked us in so early. The hotel was in the process of a remodel apparently, so it was a little disheveled. The breakfast was a little underwhelming: 2 kinds of cereal, donuts, coffee cake, breads and 2 kinds of eggs with apples and oranges. It was a lot of carbs with little variety, but it was cheaper than eating out. We were only a few blocks away from the NDSU campus and we were very near the Moorehead area also. The beds were pleasantly comfortable, as were the pillows. The wireless internet service was pretty awful, though. We will say one thing: the bar/restaurant attached to the hotel was delicious! It was some of the freshest bar food we have ever had and you do get a coupon from the front desk to dine there. We would recommend that to anyone traveling! For the price I would consider staying again. After the updates, I hope that it can improve a little. Read more

I stay in hotels all the time for work. This was a pleasure trip and this hotel was awful. I will never stay here again. The bathroom door was broke, tub was black on the bottom of it. No shampoo or cream rinse, the coffee pot was dirty. Carpet had junk all over it. and the windows were filthy..What a terrible place..DON:T STAY HERE!!!!

The hotel is getting a little run down since I first stayed there a couple of years ago. I can see that many minor repairs are being neglected. But it's a still a very good value for the price. Wonderful location close to downtown Fargo, friendly and cooperative staff, and they keep their nice indoor pool in good shape.

We had to be at Sanford Hospital at 5:00 am, so we stayed close by. The common areas were filthy. The room itself was ok, but in order for the temperature to be comfortable we needed to put the heater on air conditioning - and it was -8 outside! The key didn't work in the side door, so we needed to walk around to the lobby to get in. Not good just before […] a surgery! When we finally got to our room, the key didn't work there either. Our stay at the downtown Fargo HOJO was very pleasant. The facility shows it's age, but is well maintained. The room was clean and comfortable. The pool is one of the largest motel pools in the area, and is unique in having a 8' deep end, which is roped off from the shallow end. There is also a adjoining kiddie pool. The pool temp was comfortably warm […] and the hot tub was hot #at least on the first day - the hot tub was COLD when the pool area opened at 9 AM on Saturday#. There is a small restaurant that serves gourmet pizzas. There is also a lounge with a wide variety of beer on tap. The continental breakfast was perhaps the best suprise, serving 3 hot entrees, as well as the usual breads, donuts, and cereal. We will be back. Read more

The general appearance of the hotel was good. The only bad experience we had was when we tried to use our key card at the exterior entrance it didn't work. The manager said they were waiting for a part. The other exterior door latch was broken so it didn't need the key card to get in at all.

The staff was friendly. The room was overall clean but the floor had moisture to it and the coverlet on the bed had a crusty white spot on it. The room had a musty odor. The exercice room had three mechines, and there is no evevator. The lobby is connected to an outside bar and there are allways people hanging around the bar smoking.
