International House is in a great spot if you want to be near the main hot spots! It is a great value and would definitely recommend staying at IH.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I enjoyed my stay here, small room but, the convenience to everything would cause me to stay here again. Staff was wonderful at the front desk.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Very nice hotel..."
Very nice hotel. No restaurant in the hotel but very close to everything. Very pleased with my stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I have stayed here several times in the last couple of years. Never had a problem with anything. Front desk is incredible.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Getaway in New Orleans"
Very nice room, friendly staff, however, did not have coffee in room, no continental breakfast. Access to hotel entry seemed "clunky".Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Very visually pleasing but altogether not great"
Loved the ambiance but was charged fortune for valet and things like razors which are usually complimentary. Also loved that they use aveda but they only give you a tiny bottle barely enough for one shower. Guy working front desk mon morning was a total jerk and unfriendly and sarcastic. That was icing on cake. Also coffee in lobby in am was terrible...very […] weak. Location and character 5 plus. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Cool Hotel, good service, mostly"
All was good, though we had a odd experience at the LOA bar. The bartender said they didn't have all the ingredients for one of their signature cocktails. I was dissappointed a little, but wanted to discuss other drinks of theirs. The bartender had turned her back to us and busied herself elswhere at the bar, forgetting about us. We left and went to […] a near by store for beer to have in our room. Oh well, whatever that was all about, I don't know. The rest of the experience went well enough. "Well priced for modern design hotel"
Lovely hotel, beautiful design and very comfortable bed. No breakfast or restaurant offered, but good complimentary coffee in the lobby and very fun, chic bar. The surrounding area is mostly businesses and offices, but it is 2 blocks to the french quarter, ten to the museums and 15 to the garden district. Walkable but best if you have a car.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Cute hotel that is beautifully decorated. Its about 5 blocks from the French quarter and 2 blocks away from the streetcar on Charles st. The staff were helpful and friendly. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. There was free coffee and newspapers downstairs in the lobby every morning. I just wish this hotel had a free shuttle bus to […] and from the airport. Otherwise great option Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Not a fan"
No doorman to help with luggage when we checked in.Rooms without a coffeemaker. Had a refrigerator, no safe no minibar. Cable TV but no movie channels. Thermostat automatically resets several times during the day so you have to adjust at night and each time you return to the room. Bar played new age music at higher volumes than conversation -my highball […] glass was sticky from lack of cleaning. No restaurant or breakfast facilities, coffee was free in the lobby. I was with a wedding party. Great Location to all New Orleans has to offer. The hotel itself is charming and has wonderful views from the PH Suites. Overall the biggest problem was staff. The front desk staff the first night were unorganized and that lead to rude behavior. They actually "misplaced" our car and we were told they had "several parking" […] locations. It took almost an hour before they located and returned it making us very late to our event. The guys missed their tee time and it causing all sorts of problems. There were no ice machines in the hotel. Consequently, every time you wanted ice you had to call the front desk. ( Being short staffed made this wait a bit lengthy at times.) I would have thought with knowledge of our event several months in advance that they could have prepared better for a higher occupancy. I don't think I will stay there in the future. "Great location, great hotel, okay room."
We stayed at International House in their rockstar windowless room. We were on the 11th floor, so it would have been great to have a window, but we knew what we were getting with the room. The hotel staff was great--they gave us information about the area and made us dinner reservations. The location was AMAZING. We were able to walk to the River Walk […] and French Quarter very easily. The Loa Bar had a great ambiance--very romantic, great bartenders, and great drinks! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Apple TV and great tub"
We had our 3-year old with us and I have to say Apple TV in the room so he could watch Netflix was amazing also the garden tub was amazing and great water pressure in the shower. Valet was quick, the bar was good & both red gravy and commerce are basiclly next door and are great if you don't want to go to far to eat.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
My husband and I have been to New Orleans numerous times. This was our first stay at the International House. It was a wonderful hotel. Great location, great service, and great room. Even had my Aveda products. Would definitely stay here again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good value for NOLA"
I've been to New Orleans have a dozen times & found this to be a good value for the location. We stayed in the small Queen size room, but if you've been to NYC or Europe you'll not find the small size of the room cramped at all. Hotel has a very nice ambiance, which can be difficult to get in NOLA, and the bar is great! Hotel has a young hip and tranquil […] vibe which is conducive to having an adult-like experience of New Orleans without loud drunken drama, frilly decor or lots of young children. "GREAT place to stay in New Orleans"
I really enjoyed my stay at International House for a weekend in New Orleans with my boyfriend. It is walking distance to Bourbon Street, the French Quarter, and the Convention Center, but it isn't directly on Bourbon or the surrounding party streets, so the immediate area is clean and quiet (which is really nice after walking around the craziness all […] day). The lobby is very nice and always smells amazing! The lobby bar offers delicious and unique cocktails, and the vibe is very cool. The staff were all super nice and helpful, and the room was clean and very comfortable. We had a windowless room on the 11th floor - we got that room because it was cheap - and we missed having a window, but could live without it because we didn't spend much time in there. It was nice to be on a higher floor because we couldn't really hear people around us (however, one night we could hear some noisy neighbors, but they were being pretty loud). I would recommend this hotel to a friend! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"A Very Nice Surprise"
We were not aware of this hotel until Hotels.com listed it as the best deal for a 4 stars in NOLA the day we needed to make a last minute reservation for 4 nights. We booked it trusting the customers reviews. We were very happily surprised. It is very modern, cool ambiance as soon as you enter the lobby, which is infused with lovely fragrance (beware […] if you are scent allergic). Wonderful bar, nice service, has everything one needs from free coffee, tea and newspaper every morning in lobby, to robes and all needed amenities in room. If you like modern ambiance with a cool vibes (think Virgin Airlines type hotel), this is your place. Great central location. Easy street parking for free from 6PM till 8AM. "Good Location, Free Coffee, WiFI and Newspaper"
The hotel was very convenient. Just a couple blocks from the French Quarter and very close to the St. Charles Cable car. Front desk and concierge were very helpful and friendly. Hotel supplies coffee, wifi and newspaper. We booked a lower priced room that did not have a window (seemed strange but not a problem). The room was very comfortable but no […] safe in the room. "Beautiful, stylish, clean hotel."
This hotel is very stylish and unique in the lobby. Very clean with excellent staff service. "Birthday Trip to NOLA"
Wonderful staff, beautiful decor, minutes from Bourbon Street. The International Hotel is just amazing. The staff were so welcoming and helpful, giving us recommendations on where to visit and eat. Also made reservations for us on a nightly basis and gave us so many different options on where to dine. The aroma in the lobby is exquisite, I even purchased […] the signature scent candle to burn back home. I cannot say enough positive things about this hotel, I would return today if I could. "Good stay in New Orleans"
The hotel was expensive for the room offered. I've stayed in cities like San Francisco with better rooms for less money. Room was clean and well-maintained but was tiny and had a great view of a wall. Bed was comfortable and the shower was nice with good water pressure. It should be noted that this hotel does not have its own self parking garage.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Good ambiance, very reasonable price"
When in New Orleans, it seems out of place t stay at a new modern hotel. This hotel has a real New Orleans feel to it. Would definitely recommend this hotel.Genuine Expedia guest review
We stayed here for only one night because we were leaving on a cruise the next day. We had reserved the "Rock Star) catagory, which was supposed to be windowless. We thought it wouldn't matter because our stay was so short. As it turned out, there was a window and it was a beautifully appointed room. Very clean. Not large but for a short stay... Great! […] A very helpful staff and very close to Canal St. My only negative..... no breakfast or restaraunt of any kind. All in all, I would stay there again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"OK hotel but won't stay in same room again"
Hotel restaurant was closed due to remodeling. Web site hadn't mentioned that prior to my arrival. I stayed in the windowless "Rock Star" room. Nice and quiet but had a very bad damp, musty smell to the room.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Pleasant stay, went beyond expectations."
Great place to stay if traveling alone for business or for couples. I stayed here to attend a conference at the Sheraton. Hotel is a 2 minute walk and perfectly located near all the hotspots, including Canal/Bourbon/Magazine Streets. The front desk was very nice and greeted me every day. The gentleman who watches the door during the day was awesome, […] he got me a golf umbrella from front desk when it was a torrential downpour and watched the weather for me to make sure my walk to the Sheraton wasn't drenched! The day before I checked out I informed the front desk I had to leave at 4am - the next morning they had a person waiting outside for me to make sure I wasn't waiting for the airport shuttle alone and I would be safe waiting outside. "Close, Close, Close"
We visited in early April both for business at the Convention Center and as tourists mostly interested in Jackson Square, the French Quarter, downtown attractions, and a walking tour of the Garden District. The hotel is very well situated for walking to each of these venues (perhaps a little far to the Garden District). In fact, we walked from the hotel […] completely across the French Quarter to Snug Harbor on Frenchman Street in about 35 minutes. We arrived in mid evening and wanted a small dinner. The hotel is a short walk from Mothers where we had a very good reasonably priced small meal. We walked two mornings from the hotel to Jackson Square and the Cafe Du Monde in about 15 minutes. It is about a 10 minute walk to the Morial Convention Center. The hotel is clean and the rooms are fine, although small.. We stayed in a windowless room to save money. The room was fine. The staff was quite good and our car was delivered rapidly by the valet service when needed. It has a small bar which we did not use but it was quite lively (in a good way) from about 4:30-6:30. We might join the patrons on our next trip. We also recommend a small deli, called Weltys, almost directly across the street. The last time we stayed there, one of the people at the front desk bought Charmaigne Neville and Snug Harbor to our attention for which we are grateful. This is a very good place to stay. "Lovely, welcoming hotel!!"
This is a beautiful hotel in a perfect location - just outside the density of the Quarter and within very easy walking distance (even in heels!) of many landmark New Orleans restaurants, as well as the Quarter itself. The staff is terrifically personable and efficient. The lobby is gorgeous and inviting. And the bar... WOW. The bar, called "loa," was […] our favorite place for drinks during our trip. They make excellent herb-infused drinks and serve them with warmth. The fitness room is just right with not too many "plug in" machines but lots of free weights, nice towels and fresh filtered water. My kind of place! I definitely will stay here again. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Lovely, calm and convenient option for all"
Nice hotel - out of the craziness of French Quarter but just a few blocks away so everything was super convenient. Quiet spot and room was nice. Terrible view of industrial-looking back courtyard but candidly, that did not matter at all.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Upscale modern boutique hotel"
Like most New Orleans hotels, the room was a little small, but the bathroom was roomy. Overall this was a great choice with convenient location. I would definitely stay here again. The bar was really cool with candlelight and it was nice to have coffee in the lobby.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Perfect price and location"
Very romantic and well run hotel. Staff very well trained and ran like a Euro hotel. The only negative is the City starts picking up trash at 2 am and 5 am and can be heard all the way up to the 8th floor. Also, parking is very expensive every where in the city. This is not the fault of any of the hotels there but is a sign that the city is taking advantage […] of tourists who come to visit the city. 30 bucks for parking. Maybe in New York but not N.O. You can pay several hundreds dollars a night and other hotels but this one gave me a great rate and with great location. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"A Great Hotel!"
This is an excellent hotel. I visit New Orleans quite regularly, and I'll be staying at The International House from now on. The staff was very helpful, from the check-in until the check-out. I experienced absolutely no negative surprises during my time at this hotel. My room was cleaned thoroughly every day, and was spotless during my visit. Complimentary […] USA Today for everyone was a nice touch. The hotel is around a minute walk to the historic French Quarter, and noise is not a factor. Several museums are just a few minutes away, which makes it very convenient if that's what you're interested in. Check-in took, literally, about a minute. I can't say enough positive things about this hotel. It's where I'll be staying on future visits. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
