we were very pleasantly surprised by the St. Petersbourg. Not only was it nicer than described/pictured on the internet ( a too rare occurrence), but the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Rate was very good for the value. great location. would definitely stay there again.

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at Hotel St. Petersburg. Great location, nice reception and nice breakfast. There were two very good restaurants nearby. One was Porgu which was very good and just across the street from the hotel. The other was Von Drahli Aed Restaurand. This was also very good.

We had a lovely weekend at the Hotel St Petersbourg. The location steps away from the Town Square and Christmas Market was perfect. The staff was very helpful, upgrading one of our rooms when they realized that there was not enough space for the 3rd bed we'd requested for our children. No place is perfect. Negatives (for us) first. Floor was very, very squeaky. The carpeted floor made noise (boards underneath) that it was noticeable every time we moved around in the room (Room 203). No way to control room temp. We slept with the window open in October because we like to be in a cool room under the covers and the street can be very […] noisy. We used earplugs to get around that problem. Every thing else was great. Awesome location, one block from the town square, we were able to walk everywhere. The staff was so helpful, every request was immediately addressed with a smile. Breakfast was really good with fresh rolls, meats, cheeses, fruit and juices and a la cart items available to order as part of the included breakfast. Clean rooms, hot water and strong Wi-fi. We knew the area could be noisy so that was expected. We would definitely stay at this hotel in the future. Read more

The staff were excellent and helpful, breakfast buffet was good, location convenient for all the sights. Room did not have air conditioning and street noise was excessive so not relaxing. Lots of house dust so if you have allergies avoid it. Three and a half star hotel.

The location of this hotel could not be more perfect! It was one short, cobble stone street from the center square which is filled with restaurants, shops, and a weekend open market. We booked 3 days stay and two subsequent 1 day stays. We cancelled the subsequent 1 day stays even though we did not get a refund. The temperature outside was 28C and the next day 31C, and the temperature in our room at night was hotter than the high for the day. It was so hot we could not sleep. Everything was perfect, an old hotel with charm and character, modernized and updated for 21st C. eg wireless. Friendly service, spacious room, good value w/Expedia. The hotel was warm and comfortable. However I booked a sea salt massage for 50euros and only received a normal massage. When I queried it I was told I had been given one. I have had treatments before and know what I received. I was still charged for something I did not have so that was very disappointing. For that reason I would not go back!

What a lovely hotel in such a convenient location!! Everything was just perfect. Our room was very comfortable (we loved the underfloor heating in the bathroom). Only thing I would would want to add is tea/coffee making facility in the bedroom especially in the cold winter weather. We had a Fantastic time in Tallinn. The city is very magical especially when it snows and the culture, food, places to go, things to do made our experience amazing. Top tip would be to go when the Christmas markets are on, drink hot wine "Glogi" eat some Elk soup and visit the beer houses. The hotel St Petersburg was sensational. From the moment we arrived, the warm welcome, the ambience, the furnishings, the menus....everything was perfection. Our room had all we needed - comfort, ample wardobe and storage space, a heated-floor bathroom and a well-stocked bar. The service was exceptional ...and the evening delivery of water, chocolates and linen towels by the side of the bed […] to stand on were most welcome. A particularly nice touch were the under-bed lights which came on as soon as our feet touched the floor. We only used one of the restaurants in the evening and it offered an interesting and exciting menu of local and international foods accompanied by excellent service. We were very well taken care of during our one-night stay in October. Staff very extremely helpful and accomodating, and the hotel (room, breakfast, amenities) surpassed our expectations. Only drawback was that the information regarding the morning sauna was very unclear: it has to be booked in advance, but noone told us. We specifically asked about […] it and all staff informed us the sauna was complimentary, accessible for both men and women, but never gave information regarding this important detail about booking. The Hotel Staff were very courteous and friendly at all times as well as helpful in assisting with booking trips and giving directions for local places of interest. The Hotel was very quiet and was situated on the outer edge of the busy streets in a more tranquil area. Airport Transfers were arranged for us which took away the tensions of finding taxis […] or other modes of transport. The Main Restaurant was 'upmarket' and we enjoyed a wonderful meal. The hotel is very centrally located in the heart of the old town, on the doorstep of the many restaurants, bars and shops and a short walk from Freedom Square. It only cost €2 in a bus from the airport that dropped you 800m from the hotel. The staff were very friendly, the rooms were very clean and the buffet breakfast (we didn't eat anything else there) […] offered great variety and was very good (although it proved difficult to get a hot cup of tea!). The rooms were cleaned irrespective of the time you left the room and they even folded up shirts, etc and there were plenty of towels. The hotel is a converted residence and is beautifully decorated, is romantic and is perfect for people who don't like the big, modern, functional hotels that one sees. One possible detraction is that the hotel is located very near to Town Hall Square and when we were there (Christmas/New Year's Eve) there was quite a lot of music playing in the square late at night. Also, the micro-brewery across the road belts out tunes through a loudspeaker for most of the day and night unitl about 10pm. Most of the impact of the noise is kept out through the double windows. This Hotel is in a great location just a couple of hundred yards from the main Old Town Square. Extremely friendly staff as are virtually all the Estonians we met. We had a superior room which is the basic one and it was very well equipped and very spacious. Only thing missing was tea/coffee making facility.
