Came up for a short visit with our son at Michigan. This hotel is perfect as it is centrally located to the university, restaurants and lots of shopping. The price is very responsible and the room was clean with upgraded bedding. Staff at hotel was extremely helpful and friendly. We will stay here again.

You get what you pay for. For highschool seniors on spring break it was good enough. We went to play disc golf and there were some pretty nice ones all around. The room was nice and seemed reciently updated. The bathroom could have used some work but it did what it needed to do. It definitely could have been worse.

I have never seen so much dust. The cleaners are NOT dusting, every flat surface was dusty! The top of the tile mop board was filthy. The corners in the shower room are also dirty. Looks like cleaners only hit the high spots.

Basic room, needed another blanket as I don't use the "comforter". Cold continental breakfast--didn't even bother. Layout of buildings a little confusing. Front desk staff was very nice.

Very nice place to stay for the cheap price. Easy access to freeway. much of room looks like it was redone recently (desk, tv, bed, walls, bathroom sink area) so that was really great. This place was fairly well kept up and maintained, and clean, but there were many problems. Access to rooms is from the outside only, and in the cold snowy weather that was a pain. Not a good design for winter weather. The bed was not a king size as advertised and paid for. The single very thin blanket made the bed very cold and we had to keep the heater […] on close to the max setting all night to avoid shivering. No in-room coffee maker. Stayed 2 nights at this no frills hotel. Staff was friendly and attentive. Room was clean. The building is kind of old. They've updated alot of the fixtures (furniture, appliances, etc.) but the underlying structure is showing its age. The stairs I used to get to the upper floor were pretty steep. If you have mobility problems be sure to ask for a room […] on the first floor. I really do not like the new practice of putting the "bathroom" sink in the public part of the room. Sometimes you want to wash your privates without taking a full bath and that is awkward. For a two-star hotel in a college town, my expectations were low. My fiance and I were staying for one night the weekend of the Michigan vs Michigan State football game, so we were prepared for the worst. We drove in from Chicago early in the morning and the hotel let us check in way before check in time so we could go tailgate. The first thing I noticed […] when we walked in the room was the nice, clean smell and flat-screen tv. The room had a brand new microwave, fridge, countertops and bathroom sink. The drapes were contemporary and lightbulbs were the curly energy-saving ones. The bathroom itself was still pretty old and we wore flip-flops in the shower because the tub was mildewy and dirty. Bed pillows were various sizes and firmness so you could choose which one worked best for you, but the bedspread was still outdated and papery. Mattress comfy though. Hotel staff was genuinely helpful and pleasant. Rooms/beds were comfortable. Refrig in every room but no pool. Shower curtain had a rank odor. We'll stay again - price was affordable.

The outside of the hotel was a bit dingy, but the inside was impressive- up to date, nice TV, very clean minus some (what looked like) animal hair under the first mattress (there were NO bed bugs so that was awesome). Reasonably priced and convenient option for folks headed into Ann Arbor for a football game. Close to I-94, Briarwood Mall, other shopping and dining options. It's a hike to Michigan Stadium, but it can be done!

Red Roof consistently provides a comfortable clean room at a reasonable price. My husband, daughter and I stayed here when we moved our son to college. We had two queen beds, also a mini fridge and microwave (which we didn't use but I will keep in mind for future use).
