This was our second year staying at the Holiday Inn on the night before Thanksgiving. The rooms appeared to be very clean, the staff was very helpful, and the convenience to our relatives' home was perfect. This year, they offered a continental breakfast for a small additional fee and that was convenient, but meager (bagels, muffins, and juice). We […] will stay here again next year... just wish the beds were a little softer. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"A great value"
1-night stay for Thanksgiving and had a lovely experience. Priced well and wonderful roomGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great place to stay"
This is an older property that has been well maintained and updated. It is in a quiet neighborhood and also provides easy access to restaurants and shopping. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel and will stay at this hotel anytime I visit Falmouth in the future.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Functional, but not great"
One person working the desk on check-in, trying to juggle 2-3 phone calls of people asking directions and asking about hotel amenities, etc., so check in was slow. The attendant was friendly and professional, so the service was good, just very slow. Room was clean. Refrigerator didn't come on for 60 minutes after I plugged it in, and the temp control […] knob was broken. Bed felt like the springs were worn out - it was unevenly firm, not terribly comfortable. "Pleased with one night stay"
Front desk girl was excellent, friendly and helpful. Hotel was perfect for what we were doing (wedding nearby); close to town and harbor. Hallway had a stale beer scent, but over all else was good. Room was clean (one chair had a broken leg, but no big deal) bed was very comfortable; shower was great.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Stay in Basement w/o elevator"
Only room available to me was in the basement not accesable by elevator. Had to carry luggage down and up flight of stairs. Asked for room change and told only basement available for third party booking. Other rooms were available as hotel was not very busy.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Nice hotel to stay, room clean, the only down side was breakfast, took us everyday one hour to have it. Each time took half an hour between odering it and getting it. Otherwise good service, staff was nice and helpful.Genuine Expedia guest review
The room wasn't as expected , one of the kids had to sleep on the flour the first night.the hotel wasn't clean.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Hotel okay, not great breakfast service"
Breakfast was supposed to be included but voucher was limited to $20 for two people! And it looked like the waiter / waitress was also the cook, so quite a slow service. The gym equipment was quite limited, luckily the hotel was deserted for most of our stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Checked in early the day after Columbus day so the hotel was very quiet (as was the town) which suited us. The lady who checked us in was very friendly and was quite happy to take the time to guide us round a map of Falmouth after which we were upgraded to a huge room which was obviously welcome. Having exhausted ourselves on a walk - bit of a bit more than we bargained for, we dined in the hotel and found the food to be good but the service was excellent and friendly although I did find it odd that in Cape Cod the restaurant there was themed for Santa Fe!!! Overall enjoyed our two day stay and the staff we encountered were all excellant
"Average Hotel with no worries"

Maybe it is not in the most convenient location with the greatest rooms but really....I can't knock it. It is an average hotel. I would stay there again if I had to..it's just that in Falmouth you would like to have a little more of a Cape Cod quaint feel. In this hotel it felt more like I was in Syracruse than Cape Cod.
"Clean and respectable. No fancy pants"
The rooms were clean and the staff polite and friendly. Just what you would expect from a holiday inn. Had hoped that the restaurant was open later due to a late arrival. Breakfast was nothing fancy but well enough with lots of choices and a full pot of coffee. :) The serene setting was welcome with ease to downtown. An easy cab ride from the steamship authority to the inn, as well.
"Would be a higher rating if I wasn't disabled, but I am disabled."

My friend and I stayed here for two nights because she ran the Cape Cod marathon. My room was a handicapped accessible room with a king bed. The hotel is set up with five different entrances (the main entrance and then entrances A, B, C, and D). Our rooms were located by entrance C. If you're disabled, you have to go by car to the entrance, because getting to that area of the hotel from the lobby, inside the building, requires going down sets of stairs and there are no ramps for the disabled. So when I wanted to go to the restaurant to get some coffee and use the computer in the lobby, I had to walk from my room, outside and through the parking lot to the front entrance of the hotel (as I cannot drive and my friend who drove us there was running the marathon at the time). Luckily the weather was nice and while it took a good amount of time, I was able to do this. The room was decent with enough room for me to walk with my walker. The furniture was low and easy for me to access. I was happy that there was a refrigerator in the room. The bed was high, though, and difficult to get on and off easily. It would be very difficult for someone in a wheelchair, by themselves, to get onto the bed. I am not sure it would even be possible. The bathroom, however, was not good. The bathtub was nearly impossible for me to get into (because the side of the tub was about 3 feet high). I requested a shower chair and the chair they had did not fit into the tub. So they brought another type of assistance device that had 2 legs, a swivel seat (that did not fully swivel) and latched onto the side of the tub. When I attempted to shower with this I almost fell and cracked my skull open on the tub. The seat got slippery as soon as it was wet and only got worse as I used shampoo and soap. The shower curtain rod curves out - and since the assistance device was latched to the side of the tub, it was not possible to put the shower curtain inside the tub - so water went EVERYWHERE. The entire bathroom floor got wet, which made it slippery and difficult to manage once I got out of the tub (a difficult ordeal anyway), especially with my walker now sitting in a puddle of water. There is no way that a paralyzed person in a wheelchair would have have been able to successfully shower or bathe in this room. I am thoroughly convinced that these hotels do not in any way consult actual disabled people when making their rooms "handicapped accessible." It is unbelievably frustrating and physically exhausting to deal with as a disabled traveler. The one really good thing about this hotel is its location. It is very close to Main St. in Falmouth where almost everything is located - shops, restaurants, post office, schools, etc. And of course a few blocks from Main St. is the beach. Cape Cod Bagel Company was just down the road and is a great place for breakfast or lunch (great coffee and bagels) and has cards and gifts and art for sale as well. Close by in the other direction from the hotel is a Starbucks and a few miles down the road into Mashpee is an incredible Thai restaurant, Bangkok Thai Cuisine.

This hotel has a good location with an attractive view from the reception area. The facilities are all pretty standard for a Holiday Inn - my room was large, had an effective heater/AC, good bathroom, fridge and TV and furnishings. Lighting was acceptable but a few brighter lights would also have been welcome. While service for the week-day non-buffet breakfast can be slow the food is good (especially in the evening) and there is a very good restaurant diagonally opposite that serves great lobster. The (salt water) indoor pool isn't very popular, not sure why as it was pretty good and I didn't see anyone else in the (smallish) gym over my entire stay. You can walk from the hotel into town but it's a good walk, so a car/taxi might be a better option. There is also a large shopping centre including TK Maxx, a supermarket and Walmart all in walking distance. I would definitely stay here again if I were lucky enough to go back to Falmouth. When staying it's definitely worth considering taking a walk or ride along the shining sea cycle way.
"Understaffed and in need of a refurb"

This hotel is a little way from downtown Falmouth. My room was comfortable but showing signs of wear. Bathroom tiles, toilet seat, carpet all looking a bit tired. Room service on the first night was chaotic -left on the phone for 5 minutes while the staff argued about who should take the call! Food was adequate. Breakfast service was poor with two different servers. Some of my colleagues were late to meetings because of slow service and failure to post checks to the account before checkout. Desk staff made derogatory comments about the poor service provided by their coworkers. Advice to management: get your team working better together!
"Rough around the edges"

Check in went smoothly. I asked to be on a higher floor but was told all wedding guests are on the same floor. The first floor. I'm ok with a first floor but not a basement. I don't think it is acceptable for any guest to enter their rooms they are paying over $150.00 a night (off season) for to be greeted by a pile of dirty linens. Granted they are in the laundry area but the door shut be shut to that area. As we entered the room we noticed a smell. It was a mix of dogs( which they don't allow pets) and BO. We immediately called the front desk and they did move us to another basement room. This room was much better. As we were leaving in the morning around 10 we saw the exterior door by the laundry room open. A guy was passed out with a case of beer at his feet and a mega sized bottle of beer right next to him. I mentioned this to one of the housekeeping staff. She didn't seemed bothered by it at all. In the evening when we returned there was another person standing at the same door smoking a joint. I'd like to know where was security?
Stayed here on business. Probably not a great vacation location. Nice newly renovated rooms with the feel of a boutique hotel. The room did smell like a wet dog but was very clean. The free wifi was ample and the lamps have USB outlets for charging devices.

This property gets better each year on my annual business trip. The restaurant is definitely much better. Two names come to mind in particular: 'My' Amy at the Front Desk (in case there are two?), and the gentlemen who does the "personal" wake-up calls in the am. My server now for at least two years the the restaurant/bar is great, also. I am certain I am missing names at the front desk - I lost my notes, but they know who they are. There was only one that, IMHO, does not fit this property's mold. Respective, William "Henry aka Hank" Odum III
"Nice, but overpriced"

Good sized room. Clean, bright. Bathroom a tad small. No water views, but a short drive to the harbor and ocean. Quick, friendly reception desk. No free newspapers. Does have an indoor pool. King bed was fine. Pillows were BIG and made it difficult to get comfortable. Breakfast was ... acceptable, but pricey. Worst part: over $300 for one night, in Falmouth. Geez...that's too much.
