My family and I stayed here for one night as just a little get away. The front desk staff was very nice, the room was clean, and the hotel was just a short drive/ or walk away from the downtown area. We had a great time and plan to come back next year.

Even though this is an older property, it was clean, the hotel staff very friendly and the breakfast was better than expected although I would add waffles to the choices. The bed was comfortable, but the drapes and chairs could be replaced. Was able to walk to restaurant and a grocery store was near by.

Beware that the fee for each pet over 30 pounds is $30 per night. This was intentionally misleading. While checking in, I was told twice by the front desk clerk that the pet fee was $10 a night, and when he asked me how much my pets weigh and I told him they were each between 30 and 35 pounds, he had the opportunity to tell me that it was 3 times as […] much as quoted just seconds before! The reason for the hotel staff's behavior is obvious...the manager knows many people would just leave if told what the real price is. I found another review with this same complaint. If only I had seen it BEFORE calling to book. Also, our room wasn't cleaned and stocked for some unknown reason (and no, our pets weren't left alone in the room at ANY time) until after we checked out. Won't be going back again. Read more

Just stayed at the Guest House Inn. Just wanted to let those planning on staying at the hotel that if tou are booking a dpuble room that you confirm that you are getting a double/queen bed because in our case we got a twin bed or a single room. Also if you get room 205 be prepared for a night noise from the neighbouring ice machine or the sound of doors […] being slamed shut. Although this hotel is just a bit run down, it's not bad at all. It used to be a Holiday Inn Express, and still has quality, but you can tell as you walk down the hallway that the building is old. However, the room was very comfortable and the giant tub was outstanding! I'd definitely stay here again if needed.

That aggravated e as a non smoker but we are here for 2 wees and moving all our things for me was not an option. We enjoyed our stay in this nice small hotel. The included breakfast was nicer than most hotels offer with warm cinnamon rolls and cheeses omelets. Bathrooms were small but amenities were quite nice. The fridge and microwave and kitchenette sink were handy. Very clean and friendly service.

The hotel is located not far off the main drag, so it tends to be a little more quiet. That being said, places to eat are pretty much the standard Mexican ans Asian eats. If you want anything more you'll have to drive further out to the casino. Nightlife, it isn't happening here, plain and simple. There is a bank and a grocery store within walking distance. […] The room was comfortable, however, the maintenance you could tell was done by an amateur. We opted for a Jacuzzi king suite and the Jacuzzi took up a lot of real estate. Which left the shower/toilet area cramped. There is no closet, but there is an armoire to hang your jackets in. Good service, cozy little room. A chair was broken, but they replaced it quickly. The recliner was good too but getting kinda dirty. floors, walls and ceilings were clean and showed no wear. Nice to have a fridge and micro in there. TV was good, Internet was great. Did a wash load for $3.75 total. Fire station across 7th ave. but only two calls made […] sirens go off. The staff at the front desk are so friendly and helpful. They always had fresh baked cookies and they offered a little stuffed toy to my 1 year old son. We had previously requested a crib and I wasn’t sure if they would have one, but they did. They even asked whether we had a boy or a girl so that when the crib arrived the sheets and blankets were blue. […] The only problem I had in our room was the shower. You had to turn it opposite of what it says and the shower head sprayed a little funny so the pressure wasn’t the greatest. Not a big deal at all. The location is great. The FREE breakfast was wonderful. They had hot water for oatmeal, coffee, juices, bananas, yogurt, fresh hot cinnamon rolls, bagels, bread, muffins, croissants, pastries and English muffins. We stayed two nights and the first morning they had bacon and scrambled eggs, the second morning they had sausage patties and cheese omelets. The food was always refilled so you never had to wait long. In fact, the second day we were there the place was packed and some people were even taking trays of food up to their rooms. I thought there wouldn’t be much food left, but the staff kept it filled the whole time. I had no problems at all. I never heard any doors slamming, the only thing I heard was the icemaker, but that was because our room was right by it. I would highly recommend staying at Guesthouse International. Read more

Do to circumstances beyond my control I requested cancellation of my reservation and to rebook for the following week. The desk clerk said he could and would not accommodate me. I asked to speak to the manager and was told he was not in but would call me back. The following day I tried again and he was also out. Again I was advised he would call me […] back.He never did either time. I often use the accommodations of hotels and lodges and have always been extended customer courtesy or consideration whenever a problem was encountered. We found the facility nicely appointed, clean and handy to the freeway. However, it is located in a shopping maul and away from Front Street where the uniqueness of Poulsbo is located. The breakfast was above average including hot entrees and a number of sweet rolls, bagels, juices, fruit, etc.; self-served in a nice room.
