The room was very clean and fresh and the bed was very comfortable. Like that it had mini frig, coffee pot, and microwave. Would stay here again anytime!

My room was clean, but it smell like cigarette smoke. I always carry Lysol air freshner with me where ever I go and it took care of the problem for me. The lady at the admission desk was very nice, but you had a few guest that were not nice at breakfast but that was fine. The wireless internet is week could not get a connection in the room. Had to connect to Ethernet. The Ethernet cable was located next to bed not the desk. The cable is too short for nay maneuverability. The A/C cover was laying on the floor when we walked in and the heat lamp did not work. The bathtub had rust, cracks in the bathroom walls, sheets on one of the beds had yellow urination stains. The carpet had moldy smell, breakfast food cold, however, staff was great.

This motel had a Platinum ranking. I suppose one man's platinum is another's tin. Don't get me wrong, the motel was just fine. All staffers were friendly, helpful and accommodating. No, the disappointment was with Marshall itself. The Chamber of Commerce website kind of oversold the place. Made it look like something out of a Dickens novel. It was decidedly less quaint. Everything at this hotel was just great! Enjoyed all the amenities, requested early checkin due to attending a funeral. Also requested lower level since my husband uses a cane. They met all our needs and we really appreciated it. Beds were really comfortable. Breakfast room is small but had a wide variety of foods and well supplied. Used the washer and dryer and was able to watch television and enjoy coffee while waiting. Hot cocoa and coffee always available. Nothing fancy but I will stay there again. Near the interstate and near Subway restaurant.

Our room was great. It was clean and the a/c worked very well. When we entered the room it was 60 degrees. We turned the a/c off and went to eat and the room was very comfortable. I was told this was the last room available and expected it to be second rate. It was not, we really enjoyed our stay.

The La Quinta in Marshall Texas was an ok stay. A positive was that all rooms opened to the inside of the hotel. All entrances required a room key to gain access. Room was clean. Beds were comfortable, but had two double beds vs two queen beds. Queen beds would have made the stay a bit more comfortable. Breakfast was good. Staff was courteous. There […] were a few rougher individuals hanging around the hotel all three days of stay - not sure if this was due to hotel's location near I-20 or if these were extended family members of staff. Would recommend staying in Longview for the same price or spending extra $20-$25 to upgrade to more updated hotel in Marshall. Slightly disappointed. There are much nicer La Quinta hotels elsewhere. Right on the main highway (traffic noise). Rooms are old and all rooms have doors to the outside world. Service was non-existant.
