We came for a visit to see Downtown Austin and friends. Love the fact that it's Pet Friendly because I have to travel with my Misty when I can. The hallway was clean and free for her to play catch at night. Front staff was very helpful and friendly. Came with some friends for a bachelorette weekend,Sounds far from 6th street but was a 15 minute drive so not bad at all. The room we were in was a nice size for 5 adults and 2 babies, but room could use a little updating tho. All together a nice stay.

The desk clerk was not present at check in. I guess they were taking and left a sign stating they would be back shortly. It wasn't short by no means. The carpet near the A/C unit in the room was wet. And finally, the cleaning crew didn't change the sheets or make the beds. She only brought clean towels and left quickly.

This is a nice, sturdy hotel. No room noise from other rooms of newer hotels. Loved the separate living area and two flat screen tvs. Some could sleep or get ready and close the door while others watched tv uninterupted. Nice kitchen area in that living area as well. We used the fridge and microwave. Beds very comfortable and very clean as well as bathroom […] linens. Loved the separate vanity area so one could still be in shower area while others could do hair, makeup and teeth brushing at the same time. Ok price. Wished it could have been 20 bucks cheaper, but it was ok. Breakfast was pretty good, fresh and plentiful. Good specialty cinnamon rolls here. Yummy. Overall great stay, quiet considering it is on the access road to I35. Never heard the traffic! Read more

The building is beginning to show signs of age but the room was clean and the staff was friendly. We did not partake of the breakfast but it looked like the usual free breakfast fare you find in most hotels these days. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was good. We had a two-bedroom suite with way more room than we really needed. AC was super cold on a super hot summer day. Hotel and highway were quiet at night. We slept great! Hotel breakfast was surprisingly good for two of us who eat Gluten Free - juice, coffee, omelets, bananas, yogurt and sausage looked like OK options. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

It was nice to have a place to stay, but on our next visit my family and I will be staying somewhere else. We came in on a busy weekend for them as it was relay weekend at UT, the first issue started on the first day we left to go to town to visit friends around 8am and returned around 5pm to see that our room had not been cleaned or attended to, when […] I brought it up to the front desk they got on it right away, the second issue was when it happened again the next day. If I had not paid up fron for the rooms we would have checked out. Also there was mold in the bathroom, and switches that didn't work right. another issue happened when the sign for breakfast said that they were open until 10 am, and started closeing each day by 9:30am. I asked about refilling the food the lady working there said it was after 9 and they don't make extra stuff after 9, as they close at 10. Not a great experience. We went to visit our UT student and found this hotel to be much too far north to be convenient for that. The hotel was not well kept up. The elevator was scratched terribly inside and the walls in our room appeared dirty. We used the fold out couch and the sheets provided were almost threadbare and gray. Yuck! Another important […] detail- there is a north central holiday inn, a north austin holiday inn and a round rock holiday inn. We accidentally went to the north central one first- AWFUL part of town. I did not receive the room I purchased online. The desk manager was not helpful and did not try to accommodate for me. I had to call the corporate, in which they were not helpful either but I finally received another room. The towels had hair particulars on them as well. I will not stay or recommend holiday inn.

This place isn't bad at all. It's located just a 17 minutes from the Austin state capitol. The location seems decent. Parking wasn't an issue. The free breakfast is good. Although our room was a non-smoking room it still had a faint odor of smoke. The pull out sleeper was convenient separating the bedroom and living area. Overall the hotel was nice. All of the public areas were clean and well maintained. We used the pool and it was clean and pleasant. The breakfast was good and the attendant did a good job of keeping it stocked and she was friendly. Our room was very roomy - we had a king suite. THere were some maintenance issues in the room. One of the couch cushions […] was split down one side. There was no sheet for the pull out bed - went to desk and got one. The bathroom walls looked like something had been spilled all over them - it was pretty gross. The towel rack by the sick was broken.
