"Poor responses"
Not enough staff. We tried to order dinner from the café but he was too busy and the only one on shift. We went to our room, it smelled awful, and requested another room. We had to go back down, with all of our luggage, to get a key for another room. We are both Marriott members and usually someone meets us at the room, checks it out, and then takes us to the new room. We get to check that room to see if it works. By the time we took all or our luggage up to the new room, it wasn't worth going back again for a different room once again. It must be there ventilator/air conditioning unit because the room smelled as well. We called room service, figuring we had given the man in the café enough time. He answered and said he was too busy and could we call back in five minutes. We did. No answer. My husband left the order on the voice mail and said we would come down to get it. Please call when it is ready. Nothing. He called back to the café about 15 minutes later and got the man there. He had not picked up the message. We ordered. The pepperoni on the pizza was brown and tasted awful. It appeared old. The vegetables that came with the wings were slimy and had a bitter taste to the celery. We ate the wings, one piece of pizza, and tossed everything else. The girl at the front desk said she would tell management.

Entrance and front desk were very nice, current, clean and inviting. Rooms were a bit more dated. A/C ran all night even thought I tries turn it off and the bath tub insert (not even tile) was moldy ....yucky :(

"Very dated but tolerable"
This hotel is very dated. It was clean enough for its age, but don't be fooled into thinking the rooms are as up-to-date as the lobby. The mattress was very comfortable. The bathroom was horrible (think 1980's). There was some awful noise (alarm siren) that went off in the middle of the night for no apparent reason, and no explanation was given by the hotel. Overall not terrible, but your money could probably be spent better elsewhere.

Very easy to make reservations for the location but when we checked in we was asked to pay $20.00 more per hotel policy for incident policy which I wasn't told over the phone by Hotel.com but was advised the $20 would be credited back after 5-7 days per the hotel. And the hotel wouldn't take cash only debit or credit card.

I was happy with the hotel. I was NOT HAPPY with when I received my confirmation it was not the hotel tat was shown when I booked the hotel. I asked for ocean front and was shown pictures of a ocean front hotel which this was not!

"2 Night stay"
Everyone with the hotel was extremely friendly and helpful. Southern hospitality at its finest. We stayed in and ate at the Bistro on second night. The cheddar French dip was terrible and should probably be removed from the menu. However the server was excellent and even gave us chips so that we would have something to nibble on while we waited. Since restaurants don't even bring bread baskets anymore it was a sweet touch.

"Clean, Comfortable and Convenient Hotel"
The overall stay was what was advertised and expected. Our room was clean and comfortable. The location is excellent for reaching North Myrtle Beach attractions such as Barefoot Landing, but also easy access with a short drive to Myrtle Beach. The only downside to our stay was a loud vibrating A/C, but since we were only there one night, we reported the problem when we left.

"Reliable Hotel at a Great Price"
The location of the hotel was great since it was near Bare Foot Landing and the outlets. I was surprised by how modern the lobby looked and how clean the rooms were. The only issue I had was how thin the walls were. You could hear the toilet flushing and the shower running in the next room. But overall, this is a great hotel to stay at.

"it was a party the night before"
Beer cans left on the balcony when we arrived the wall were marked up . Light bulbs were blown by the bed bathroom light repeatedly tripped the safety breaker ans the toilet made a wierd high pitched wine. after several complaints the manager we simply got a ...im sorry ......:/

"Clean an comfy"
This was our first time at this courtyard byMarriott. I must start with the very friendly staff as soon as you walk in. They were wonderful, very nice, and helpful. Now the rooms were very comfortable an very clean. I got a great nights sleep an im not a good sleeper. We didnt take advantage of any of the hotels amenities but its a great place. We just needed a place to sleep

"Nice hotel on main strip"
Hotel is very clean and has a modern decor. Breakfast in the Bistro is expensive compared to other breakfast places on Hwy 17. Gym is small and could use more machines (only has two treadmills, one arc machine and one bike). Staff is friendly. Had trouble finding the tv channels due to there being no TV guide (on screen or paper). Nice indoor pool and hot tub.

"Fun Fourth"
The hotel was good. The only thing I didn't like was the price. Considering what we paid the breakfast should be included and they should have free coffee in the lobby. It's several miles to Myrtle Beach proper but near a lot of the places we eat at so it balanced out.

"Rainy weekend, nice hotel."
This hotel was pretty standard, but nice. Room was clean, bed comfortable, fridge in room, free wifi. Staff were the best part (very friendly). Our main reason for staying here is its proximity to barefoot landing and less than 2 miles away from Skydive Myrtle Beach. Also great deal! There is an indoor pool and Jacuzzi which we did not use but looked nice and a very small fitness center. There is breakfast (not free), but better options than most continentals.

After traveling throughout the evening the comfort of the bed was such a surprise. I slept great. Also, the accommodations made by hotels.com and the Hotel itself was very appreciated. Travel was last minute and later check out was required and it was granted. Thank you again so very much.

"Nice hotel, close to attractions and restaurants."
Although the hotel was very nice and clean, the placement of the furniture in the room was terrible. It appeared that furniture was unnecessarily added, which made it difficult to easily maneuver. The staff was very accommodating and helpful.

Reasonable price and convenient location. Hotel staff was friendly and welcoming but we did have difficulty getting service at the cafe. No big deal though because there is two restaurants in front of the hotel that you can easily walk to. Next time I catch a show I will definitely stay at this hotel.

"Close to House of Blues in Barefoot Landing"
The room had a smell of some type of cleaner or air freshner that we did not like, but we were able to open the window for some fresh air. The beds were very comfortable and the room was very clean. The front desk attendants were very professional and accommodating. The restaurant/lounge was not what we expected. The lounge/restaurant left a lot to be desired and we were disappointed there wasn't a breakfast buffet. We liked the easy access to Barefoot Landing and would stay here again.

Family situation came up & had to leave a day early. When Hotels.com called to verify that I indeed had checked out (so they could reimburse me for leaving one day early) the hotel told them I had NOT checked out & this was NOT true. I will NEVER stay in another Courtyard by Marriott for this reason. Totally unprofessional.
