The room and service was great. However I called ahead and asked if the hot tub was working. This was the night before we were coming. The lady assured me it was working. When I got to the hotel I went to check it out. It was solid ice and then snow surrounding the pool and hot tub. The hot tub was open and appeared to be working. We had a nice, pleasant stay. No complaints. Good breakfast, comfy large room & comfy bed. Friendly, welcoming staff. Better on all levels than the pricier CP hotel we stayed in the next night in Sante Fe, which did not include breakfast! Would recommend.

We were very happy with this hotel, it was our first time visiting Ruidoso and the hotel was close enough to the commercial area but far enough of all the crowds and traffic, we had a great time and this hotel definitely was part of it!!!!!!

We were very disappointed with the quality and cleanliness of our suite. TV reception was fuzzy, jet tub had black grime (especially behind the shower curtain), there was a hole in one of the lampshades, and the soda provided in the guest fridge was stale and flat (my hubby says he felt it made him get an upset stomach). There was also a soiled pillowcase […] stuck behind the bed between the headboard and the mattress, which was also where we happened to find our remote control. One of the windows near the bed was cracked open on one side and we couldn't shut it all the way, so we heard loud traffic noise from the freeway nearby all night long. However, the host was very friendly and helpful with places to find nearby and the breakfast was fine. We stayed the next night at a local casino hotel that was much nicer and had more amenities/activities on site and was much cheaper than what we paid for this unclean hotel. Read more

The Hotel it's self was very clean and the room was great. The staff was wonderful and gave us lots of info on things to do in town. The breakfast in the morning was not to bad. The only real issues we had with this hotel were the low ceilings and the uncomfortable bed. When we went to sleep we found the bed to be very uncomfortable and we hardly slept. My husband is very tall and he was standing in front of the mirror to brush his hair and actually hit the sprayer for water if there is a fire. The thing cut open his finger very badly. The rooms smelled and it appeared that the toilet had run over at some time and the carpet smelled. Over all experience was bad for a Holliday Inn Express. We have stayed at Holliday Inn Expresses before and this is not up to the standards of other Holliday Inn's.

Other than the room service constantly bugging us before checkout, the overall stay was comfortable. I really enjoyed the local of the hotel as it was surrounded by restaurants and shops. We enjoyed the hotel and the service was excellent. We had a problem with the sheets and they were changed right away. The sheets were quite old and worn in many spots which made them look dirty. The problem was taken care of. Also the water in the sink was draining very slowly. We did not report this problem. The side entry door of the hotel was not […] closing or locking properly when entering or exiting which created a possible security problem. We reported it to the desk clerk and they said they had to order a part. It had not been fixed at our check out time. We noticed that there were no security cameras in the hallways for customer protection. However putting these things aside, we enjoyed our stay and will definitely stay again. Read more

Once you know your way around the area a little bit, the location is very convenient for most visitors - about halfway between the tourist area of Ruidoso and the Ruidoso Downs track and casino area. We enjoyed the stay, the room overall was very comfortable and we never felt we were in an unclean room. Not sure if sheets were changed at anytime. Recognized the same spot on sheets during the visit.

It was our anniversary while in Ruidoso and we had a great time. After being in 105 degree heat for most of this summer, the mountain air and coolness were a welcome change. Equally as delightful was our 2 night stay at the Holiday Inn Express. The room was clean, the staff was friendly and we found everything/everyone to be very accommodating. We have […] stayed at this Holiday Inn Express several times in the past and have never been disappointed. Nice clean room. No frills but was exactly what we needed; a clean, safe and convenient place to stay in a town where room rates are ridiculous during the summer.

This hotel lived up to the reputation of Holiday Inn Express! The young lady that checked us in was very helpful and courteous. The room was very clean and well equiped. The location of the hotel was in the center of shopping and the race track. We will be sure and stay here on our next trip! GREAT HOTEL!!!!

Very Large suite! Bed was a little Hard. Whirlpool tub was fine for 1 person, but snug for 2. Hotel was very quiet (Thursday night?). Mitzi was Very helpful at the front desk!! Very convenient to Inn of the Mountain Gods (only 10 minutes away).
