Holiday Inn Express was an awesome place to stay. The rooms were above and beyond my expectations. The staff was friendly and helpful. I will definitely be staying there again..,Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The best hotel I've ever stayed in. However I did get over charged for incidentals. It should have been a 1 time charge of $25.00. They charged me almost $200 . I really believe this was purposely done because of (race). They charge more for certain people because they think we're gonna steal something or leave a big mess.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Really clean & nice place to get a good night sleep with a great breakfast to follow. We'll be back again I'm quite sure.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Even though two floors no elevator. Two train on tracks right next to hotel middle of night. Bathroom nasty black grout should have been white and shower head was like taking a shower in pins and needles. Won't stay again.Genuine Expedia guest review

"OK, but only OK"
The hotel was clean, the staff was nice, but the floor in the hallway seemed like there was something under the carpet, and the WiFi was impossible. I was on the second floor and was unable to connect in my room. Ended up having to go to the business center to finish my work. Not the best situation, since it was flaky even there. I had a deadline to […] submit, and expect internet connection to be available when it says it will be available. At no point was I offered a cable to hard connect. Good price, service and locationGenuine Hotels.com guest review
This was the absolute worst I have ever experienced. I kept losing the connection, and had to go to the lobby to pick up signal, and then back to my room, and no soon as I get in the middle of a report or order it would disconnect. ABSOLUTELY HORRIFIC!!!!!!!!!!!Genuine Expedia guest review

This hotel was clean and staff was friendly the morning breakfast was good and keep full.hitel is only 2 story but doesn't have an elevator it you can't do stairs then need a first floorGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Happy with our experience"
Staff was very accomodating when my daughters tv wasnt working properly they immediatly tried to see if they could get it to work .They offered to move her to another room and did so for us since we had to be elsewhere. The breakfast was good and we were always late but they had ample food even though it was close to their 9:30 end time. The two complaints […] I would have was the fact that you have to walk through the lobby to get to your room and you can only park on one side.We were also upstairs and there is no elevator which would'nt be a problem but my husband has knee issues.I do believe the staff would have put us on the first floor if my husband had addressed the issue. We were otherwise happy with our experience. "Train right outside the hotel!"
The hotel was fine- Clean and good customer service... but there are train tracks about 50 yards from the hotel.... tracks that were used THREE times throughout the night- all of which used their horns as a warning as they approached the intersection outside the hotel. Also, there is No elevator.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Clean Room - Halls Smelled Like Cigarette Smoke"
The individual rooms we had were very clean and satisfactory. The hall that our non-smoking rooms were on smelled like cigarette smoke. There was loud train noise on the entrance side of the hotel that one of our rooms was on, but the opposite side of the hotel did not seem to have that issue. The staff was very friendly and professional.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

After finding my reservation the desk clerk's first question was," what was the nature of my visit?' I did not feel this was any of the clerk's business. I refused to answer the question.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Has everything you need"
The carpet and bathroom floor was so dirty, it turned my feet black-- therefore, I had to wear shoes the entire time I was in the room. Other than the floors, the remainder of the room was very clean and well appointed. It was a great help to have a refrigerator and microwave. It was also very nice to have breakfast provided.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The roll away bed provided in the room was horrible, never slept on it but paid for it. My credit card was hacked sometime after check in. Don't know if this was at the hotel or restaurant...Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Good hotel.....Strong smoke smell"

"Holiday Inn Express West Point, MS"
Great stay, great breakfast for the price. Only drawback is that there is no elevator to the 2nd floor. If you're old or broke down, could be an issue... Otherwise we had a nice stay! I would stay here again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel was very clean. The entire staff that worked there was very friendly and willing to help with anything that was needed. It was easy to find and close to the shopping mall.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Westpoint, MS Holiday Inn Express"
Nice hotel, clean rooms and nice breakfast. Staff was great. Only thing that might be a problem for some is that there is no elevator. Only 2 floors but might be a problem for some... I would stay here again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Hotel was much nicer than anticipated. Room was very clean, and hotel staff very attentive to needs. Hotel does not have an elevator, older guest might find this a bit annoying, but good hotel experience otherwise. Plan to stay there again in near future.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I was okay with my stay at this Holiday Inn Express. The breakfast was solid with cold milk, hot coffee and great free hot/cold assortment of foods. The troubles are more related to where the hotel is and not the hotel itself. Being rural means longer drives for dinner or lunch and less entertainment options. Regarding the hotel, it is two stories, […] but there is no elevator. Dragging my bags upstairs to my room has ZERO interest for me. Fortunetly my room was changed to the ground floor. Last issue is that I asked for a receipt showing a $0 sum due amount when I went to check out. This caused a big delay as the clerk didn't know how to print such a receipt. In the end, I wasn't statisfied with the receipt given but had to depart. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Frequent traveller: VERY OLD , WORN OUT NEEDING REPAIRS"
10/04/14 jleonardfirr West Point, Mississippi
As a Platinum member in 3 different chains, I travel quite a bit. In anticipation of a very busy weekend, we called enroute to make sure our reservation was in order and to request a roll-away to be sent to the room in advance. Upon check-in we were informed the roll-way was not in the room and the desk clerk was the only one on duty so it would be a bit, but she would bring it. She was very friendly but over worked considering this was the special event weekend where all other hotels for miles were also sold out. We were given a second story too, there is NO elevator, and when asked about a first floor room, she indicated not one available. The sofa in the room was torn in several places. The room door did not bolt, as the lock was mis-aligned. The bathroom floor has a few tiles are loose. The TV/Dresser is 1/2 way in front of the in -room mirror. The room floor has several places where the flooring under the carpet squeaks or is loose and "gives" a little. The location is near a train the blows a warning signal loudly throughout its passing, 2 times a night, in the middle of the night. THIS HOTEL IS IN A CATEGORY OF a motel not a hotel.
"It will do"
Was the best place around to stay that wasn't already full that being said it's an older holiday inn and the building needs updating. The complimentary breakfast was better than average and the staff was ok. When we stayed they were very busy so service wasn't great and since there was a local event the price was marked WAY WAY up- not a practice I fond of :-(
"very nice stay"
09/08/14 Dlhollin1 Navarre, Florida
We stayed the night here on 9/6/14. The room was very nice and large. There was a drawer missing in the dresser which was weird but we were not using it so no biggie. We were traveling so all we really needed was a hot shower and a comfy bed. the breakfast was good with a nice variety of choices from biscuits and gravy to yogurt and fruit. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. We would definately stay there again if we are ever in the area again.
"Not bad, but not the best"
08/24/14 Florida-IaTraveler The Villages, Florida
This is not a typical Holiday Inn Express. It is an older 2-story hotel that was probably converted to the brand. But the room was large and clean and it had all the extras of other Holiday Inn Express hotels -- except an elevator. (The desk clerk did offer to carry anything we wished to our room, however.) The breakfast was good and the breakfast room was bright and airy with a curved wall of windows that added to a very pleasant morning during our stay. One other thing: This may not be a Holiday Inn Express for long. As we were leaving town, we noticed a sign across the highway indicating that a new Holiday Inn Express was going to be built at the site.
"Poor example if Holiday Inn Express"
07/25/14 Lonely_Traveler_44 Bethlehem, Pennsylvania
Room smelt as if it has not been cleaned in weeks. Musty and damp. Air conditioner was loud, very loud. Bath tub was too dirty as I had to clean it before I took a shower in it and germs and dirt don't bug me. Refrigerator had someones food in it and judging by the mold...It's been there a while. The whole place should be turned into a pay-per-hour motel because that's the impression I have of this hotel.
"Not up to Holiday Inn standards"
05/20/14 rocket0455 McDonough, Georgia
Stayed for 2 nights on a quiet weekend. In the first room the shower curtain rod was partially down so we changed rooms to a "better" room. Staff was very nice about it, and problems do happen, however the second room had a broken bath tub that stuck me in the foot and was "fixed" by having a very thin bath mat placed over the break. The second room had a couch with tears in the tread bare material and a broken luggage stand. The only positive was the staff who was nice and apologetic. But clearly management and ownership either doesn't care or won't spend the money needed to fix the property to the level reasonably expected. Holiday Inn corporate needs to either pressure this place to get itself right or pull the franchise. It is an embarrassment to IHG.
"Decent But A Bit Dated."

I stay at many Holiday Inn Express locations during my travels and while most of them are consistently well kept, this particular hotel is in need of some renovation work. The carpet and furniture in the room I stayed in was a bit worn. On the bright side, the room does have some great amenities like a refrigerator, microwave, and a flat panel TV. There's also room out in the back along a dirt road to park a few tractor-trailers. I would stay here again but hope there's some updates done on this hotel soon.
"Perfect place to rest your weary head..."

Our family of 6 have stayed at this hotel twice in the past 2 years. Perfect stopping point on our way from Missouri to the beach. We found beds and pillows comfortable. Breakfast was filling. There is a train track next door but we have not been woken by the trains. The night clerk was very friendly and welcoming and fixed a slight problem straight away.
"Nothing exceptional, but not bad either"
01/28/14 WRJ-MLJ Twin Cities, Minnesota
I was hesitant to stay at the HIX because there were no recent reviews. We found the Inn to be acceptable, though in need of some updating. The carpet in the hallway and room felt lumpy when walked on, probably because the pad is worn out. Also, the bathroom is the first one I've been in where the floor did not feel like it was level ~ it seemed to slant. The bed was comfortable, the microwave popcorn in the room was appreciated, and the breakfast was satisfactory. The price was less than some of the hotels in the area. Also, we hadn't noticed the train tracks since we arrived at night and heard a train at 10:30 PM that sounded like it was right next door, and it was! Thankfully, there were no other trains at night.
"Great place to stay especially for the price!"

My boyfriend and I booked this place for night only on our way through Mississippi. It was easy to get to. And while West Point is a small community this hotel is close to several stores, small restaurants, etc. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The staff that we ran into were all very, very nice, friendly and helpful. There was the typical morning breakfast buffet of warm foods (eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes) or the option of cereals, yogurts, fruits, coffee, juices, etc. One should not expect special order meals, but the food was more than sufficient. If I ever pass through this part of Mississippi and need a place to stay I will definitely return to this hotel.
