We offer those facilities as a great value for those who may not require more spacious facilities. We do have larger rooms available. The larger rooms include a king bed or two queen beds. Our location is ideal for so many reasons. Our Clayton address comes with world-class shopping and dining. We are neighbors to Washington University and Forest Park. We are convenient to the airport and we are only a short Metro-Link ride away from downtown St. Louis. The team will work hard to earn that 5th star when you visit us again.
We had a nice stay. We were upgraded to king suite which was very nice. The last time we stayed at this hotel we had a standard room that was adequate but pretty small. Overall the hotel did deliver, and for the price I paid, it was solid. It should be noted that I paid $89 for one night and I got a full breakfast and club lounge access. However, when I showed up at the hotel they were unaware of the extras that came with my Expedia booking. There was a breakdown somewhere in the process from Expedia to the hotel. […] Nevertheless, the hotel was apologetic and did honor the booking completely. The outside of the hotel is pretty dated, however, the inside is excellent, no complaints. I did stay in the same neighborhood of Clayton a few yeas back at the Ritz Carlton and this hotel experience was as good, if not better at a MUCH lower price. If I hadn't had the extras (breakfast, lounge) I think I still would have been happy at this price, but not any more considering there are other hotels who offer similar perks at about $110 - $140 per night in the area. This is a pleasant hotel in downtown Clayton near restaurants, coffee shops, etc. The rooms are small but comfortable and clean with all the expected amenities. Nickle and dimed on everything. Dirty baby diapers under our bed-so that's what the stink was! Staff tried to be kind but you could feel they were miserable. Do they not like their boss? "Money not well spent"
Our stay at the hotel was ok, the last two days of our stay our bed sheets wasn't changed. The price for parking is a bit high and if you are a non smoking hotel you should let all bookers (Expedia etc.) know so that they don't advise the guess that they can have a smoking room when you don't offer them. I think it's ridiculous that you had to pay for parking. I understand that parking is at a premium in that area, but come on! Raise the price of the hotel room them. It's almost dishonest. We also did not have a clean room on Saturday until 6pm. We were gone from 9am until 6pm. They must have forgotten and just came to our room. Really? Sounds like […] poor management to me. Seriously disappointing. We also were awakened at 8am on Sunday to a false emergency alarm. My elderly mother was scared to death at the nose and was very concerned about her safety. We were in town for a marriage conference a few blocks away at the Ritz-Carlton. We stayed at the Sheraton, because I was able to find a room for about $30 less per night. For this discounted price, we got a king-size bed in a room on the 11th floor, which is for "Starwood Preferred Guests." I'm not sure how/if those rooms are any different, except […] that they are higher up, and therefore, would have better views. Our room did not have a mini-fridge, but one call to the front desk and about a 10-minute wait solved that--at no extra charge! Everyone we interacted with was friendly and helpful. There is a $9.95 charger per day per item for wi-fi use in your room, but it's free in the lobby. I saw two people with dogs, so I assume they are pet-friendly. The location is ideal in the Clayton City Center, with many excellent dining options in easy walking distance. VERY quiet area at night. Surroundings seemed very safe and clean. I thought the layout of the hotel was a little strange (lobby is on the 3rd floor)but we had the best nights sleep ever. We woke up a couple of hours before our alarm went off but we were total fine with it because we woke up so refreshed. I travel for my job and stay at least 140 nights a year in hotels and this so far has been my worst experience. It costs money to park, money to use the internet, and their is no free breakfast. For the price of the room they should include at least one of those. We got up to our room and there was no toilet paper or kleenexes. i feel like the sheraton seeks an image of a high quality hotel, but the staff leaves little to desire and prevents such attenuation of quality. the front desk staff couldn't find a room for me, despite my checking in at 7pm. in my reservation i had requested to be away from the elevators and ice machine, and i ended up right across from the ice machine […] and 20 feet from the elevators. i asked if i could check out late, and the guest services operator was not sympathetic and said the room had to be immediately cleaned because someone was taking my room as soon as i left (yet check in isn't until 4:00, and the hotel was deserted - couldn't they have given me a few hours and given my room to someone else)? We do have standard king and double queen bedded rooms that are offered at a slightly higher price and they are more spacious. Guests are invited to utilize the parking garage because it is sheltered from the weather, it is always available, and it provides direct access to the hotel. We are careful not to talk too much about on street parking because it is not always available and the hours of free meters are not always practical for the schedules of our visitors. There on business, and the hotel is more than adequate adequate in all phases. Best however, is the location: close to many restaurants, on site car rental, walking distance to the metro, and for me, walking distance to 5 or 6 accounts! To be in such a nice area and to be a Sheraton Hotel I was very surprised at how shabby this hotel was. Two elevators that took for ever to come to the lobby, and the hotel was not busy. The room was so small I had very little room to move around in. Then there was the stain of who knows what that was in the carpet. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The room was a little on the small side, but it was clean and comfortable. The carpet was a bit stained in the hallway and my room, but I brought my dog and I assume we were on a pet friendly floor.
