Hotel staff was extremely helpful. Breakfast was good with all the basics covered. Very pretty bar and breakfast eating area. Rooms were very spacious. Nice large vanity separate from the tub/toilet room with double size mirror so easy for two to get ready at the same time. I was very pleased with our room. It was clean and lots of space. Nice flatscreen tv to watch shows on. Downside was the small closet to hang jackets and clothes. Outside of that, the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The free breakfast was outstanding and they did a great job in keeping it stocked. Overall it was a very good experience

We had to stay at a hotel to attend a wake/funeral. My brother said he had stayed at a Hyatt several time so that is what finalized our decision. The staff was very attentative and the hotel was clean. Much to be said....in other words a huge compliment for the basics but we had a lovely stay. I would recommend. We stayed for one night while visiting family for Thanksgiving. The room was spacious for a family of 4, and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom tile showed some wear/tear (dirty grout), but otherwise the room was clean and comfortable. The clerk was friendly and welcoming at check-in. My biggest issue with the hotel was the breakfast service. The […] food was fairly good and there was a good variety, but there is not enough space to accommodate a full hotel of guests. Our family of 4 was lucky enough to score a table for 2, so we squeezed in and made do. However, the tables had not been wiped off and were filthy. Guests themselves were cleaning up after other guests just to use the tables. I don't understand how hotel staff made such little effort to actually clean the tables and turn them over. We also could not fit our dirty dishes into the bins because they were overflowing so badly. I get that it was busy and a full house, but as a hotel that has free breakfast service -- you have to be able to accommodate the rush, no matter what. Read more

The staff is great at Hyatt Place. They were friendly and attentive. Our room was nice and big and the breakfast was very good. The indoor pool was even heated so it was great to swim in with my little one. The hotel is located right next to Yorktown Shopping Center, too. I'll definitely stay here again.

This is a very clean and family friendly hotel. I like the separate sitting area that Hyatt offers because it allows my family to have room to spread out and not be in each others way. This is one of the best Chicagoland hotels for the money. It is clean, close to everything, rooms are very nice even though bathros could use and update. Overall I have stayed at several others in the area that were double and triple a night more and than this one. It is a must try hotel. (Bring your own pillow if you don't like hard.

We had stayed at this hotel many, many times. In fact, it has always been our "go to" place when we were up in the suburbs. However, this visit we were dissatisfied. The room was not too clean, and the bed very uncomfortable. Staff were really helpful and pleasant. Even small requests were dealt with in a timely and welcoming manner. I don't think we could have had a better experience. Price is low and nearby train service [with in 4mi] to chicago union station was a big plus. Nearby station had a car park for few bucks a day. All in all great.

This hotel is conveniently located close to the interstate and within walking distace of at least 4 restaurant. The hotel has food service available 24/7 which is a great perk when arriving late. Nice breakfast offerings but when it's busy there isn't enough room to sit to eat. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay here again.

The room itself was very nice. Much larger than I expected. The staff was very friendly and helped suggest restaurants close by to eat at. The only disappointment was the swimming pool area. The pool itself was fairly small and there was no hot tub or bathrooms nearby the pool area.

We checked out of this hotel thinking that it was an uneventful, mediocre stay at a middle grade suburban hotel. However, that sentiment was soon ruined. Like many that have gone on before us, we realized that we had left a cell phone converter (1" plug portion of cord) still in the recepticle. I called and the attendant found the plug. I was shocked […] to find out that they would only mail the plug the 1" plug from Chicago to Indy for $50. When I inquired as to how that was possible, he was unapologetic and unmoved by the fact that this price gouging had ruined our view of the hotel. Travellers have choices when looking for hotels. Cleanliness, amenities and customer service are the big three. If you are looking for people who care about their brand and customer service look elsewhere... and if you do stay, don't leave anything behind! That must be how they pay for the "complimentary breakfast." Read more

Had a good time. Room layout leaves no way to change in private because bathroom is too small to change in. Breakfast was cold and not many choices at all. Staff very helpful. 25-45 min drive from downtown.

perfect in every way. Even provided a shuttle to nearby train station for ride into downtown Chicago. Hot breakfast with all the trimmings. Free newspaper, fruit provided all day long. Room was like a suite! Will certainly come again!

Carpet and upholsterd furniture very dirty. Carpet had large (2' x 3') dirt spots on floor (like auto mechanics had just come in from garage and wiped feet for weeks) in many places. Hair gel in sink. Asked for a room change -- didn't have any empty rooms. Next day, when I returned from meeting, carpet was clean, as was sink. Furniture still very dirty. […] Front desk gave me a line about old carpets. Q:Why didn't they clean carpet BEFORE making room available. Why didn't they offer some comp or an apology? Also, at check in, arrived at hotel at 10:30 pm local time with daughter. Asked for place to eat, since national chains nearby were closed. Hotel staff gave info on two pizza places with delivery to hotel -- said there was nothing nearby. Drove less than 1 mile -- could see hotel from front of restaurant -- found nearby sports pub with VERY good pub food (we had pirme rib and BBQ ribs -- they had excellent looking salads), very reasonable prices, & fair drink prices. It was comfortable for me to take my 17 yo daugher to dinner. When I mentioned place to same hotel staff upon return -- they yawned. Makes one wonder. Also, both days we did not receive the complimentary WSJ, while all other rooms did. Staff attitude very bad. Cleanliness very bad. Read more

Our 4 day stay was great at the Hyatt. The indoor pool provided a geat away for our 3 kids and nearby restaurants and shopping malls were awesome. The room was very spacious and very well kept by housekeeping staff.

It is convenient to the Lombard Metra Station (and their shuttle can take you there). So, you save on hotel costs and the really expensive parking at the downtown hotels.
