I would return due to shopping location! But expected more for the price paid And the recommendations!

Having stayed at the Landis Hotel in Taipei, I expected Icon to offer the same service quality or better. After checking in, no one bothered to show us to our room and introduce us to the facilites available. I booked a harbor view room for an increased price. Sure there was a view of the harbor, if you looked to the left side. Directly outside my window was the rooftop of the mall. The concierge was helpful. I had one meal at the lobby cafe. My mom ordered a chowder in bread bowl. The bread came out toasted with green mold!! How did they miss that?! Killed our appetites immediately! I've read comments comparing Icon to the Four Seasons. One of our travel companions stayed there and I had an opportunity to rest in her room during our long afternoons in Hong Kong island. The hotel is impeccable and there was definitely no mold in our food.

Decent size room for Hong Kong. Definitely not huge but plenty big enough. Nice bathroom. Perfect Kowloon location. Clean and nice

Situated in the heart of Shenzhen, The Panglin Hotel is close to International Foreign Trade Center, Luohu Border Crossing, and Shun Hing Square. Also nearby are Shenzhen People's Park and Shenzhen Grand Theater.
Hotel Features.
The Panglin Hotel has a sauna, a fitness facility, and a seasonal outdoor pool. Complimentary wireless Internet access is available in public areas. There is a business center on site. Dining options at the hotel include 5 restaurants along with a bar/lounge. The staff can arrange tour/ticket assistance, event catering, and currency exchange. Additional amenities include spa services, a concierge desk, and coffee in the lobby. For a surcharge, guests have access to a roundtrip airport shuttle (available on request). Guest parking is complimentary. A total renovation of this property was completed in 2011.

"Very good hotel for a nice price"
I spent only one night in this hotel on my way back to my destination, but it made a quite good impression and I would recommend it. The hotel has a great breakfast buffet and a good restaurant

"well located in the heart of shenzhen"
despite of some incindentes (like drunker knoking my door at 4 am, the overall experience was nice, people very helpfull, for a 5 star or 41/2 they need to do some improvements, the hotel seems getting old

"First class hotel to a budget price"
This is a very nice hotel to a budget price. We stayed here for 5 nights and lived like a king and a queen. It is situated right in the central part of Shenzen and just a short taxi trip or 1 MRC station from Lo Wu trainstation. There are lots of nice restaurants and bars just outside the door but dont miss to have a meal at the revolving restaurant […] at the 50:s flor. Extra bonus for free internet. Read more
