I stay in London all of the time and this has to be the worst hotel ever! I paid 500 US dollars. The rooms look nothing like the pictures on the website. They are very old and super small. Had a short yet wonderful stay at the Met. Its outstanding staff and ultra modern-chic look did proud to the cosmopolitan city of London. Steps away from Piccadilly makes it very accessible. The only thing I was upset about was the restriced afternoon tea available only Thursday ton Sunday.

My husband and I wanted a romantic getaway for the weekend, and it was the best place to do so. the room was big and comfortable, we had bath ropes and slippers and the staff were really helpful and nice. we booked a table in Nobu restaurant, that is in the hotel, and enjoyed it. all in all, an excellent stay!

The Metropolitian is in the Mayfair neighborhood of London, which is very rich and posh. This hotel certianly looks the part, but not for the price. Its located very close to The Hyde Park underground stop on the Picadilly line. This makes getting anywhere in the city very easy. The rooms are a bit light on the decor, but comfortable overall. A truly classy place and also a fun, cosmopolitan address while in London. Service was personalized and truly high end. From the arrival -- showing me my room, the entrance, the doors to my room -- to the customized breakfasts to the nice club in the hotel. It's all a great London experience.

The Met is a top quality hotel in a perfect location! The rooms and service are top-notch. And the Met is only a block from Hyde Park, the original Hard Rock Cafe and a tour bus stop. Plus it is close to Speakers' Corner and the Underground. The little pub a half block away is inexpensive and fun. AA can't miss vacation.

This is such a lovely hotel, all the staff are really friendly, they are willing to help with any questions you have. As we got their we had smiles thr whole time and two members of staff offered to take our bags ( even though we didnt need it because we had hand luggage). We got upgraded to an over looking view of hyde park which was really lovely […] and we were also give a free bottle of wine as we were staying for my boyfriends 21st birthday which was a really lovely touch by the staff. The rooms are really quiet, you dont hear any noise from outside or any neighbours next door. We didnt get to try the food sadley, as we had ither plans but it looked very tasty and good value for money. The bedrooms are lovely but the only down side would be not being able to open the windows slightly to get a breeze, even though there is air conditioning. Very helpful staff, great food at nabu and the room and view over Hyde Park were spectacular. Had a city room - secret hotel. Basically you pay for what you get it was very similar to a Premier Inn. No where to hang coats - a few hooks in the lobby area would have been useful. Very small wardrobe and no drawer space - all taken up with 'essenial extras and mini bar items' which of course we did not touch as they were very over priced. Only one […] robe? No ventilation in the bathroom - extractor fan in ceiling not connected to anything. As the only loo his is not acceptable. Light on vanity mirror not working. The best thing about this hotel is the excellent location for both business and pleasure. It was so easy to get to anywhere you wanted to go in London and there were so many things to see within walking distance. Lots of good restaurants and entertainment nearby. The rooms were compact but comfortable. The staff were very accommodating and the location was excellent. We couldn't really see how a 5 star rating is justified. Our bed was extremely hard and the carpet in the room (222) stained in a number of places - although otherwise the room was spotless.
