Century Hotel Zona Rosa - Mexico City

The Hotel needs to be remodeled. Lobby and pool area is very deteriorated. Rooms are confortable, however, the cable TV is very bad, need to improve channel selection. Food in the restaurant should improve. The hotel has an excelent location, and we got a very good deal. I recommend this hotel if you are on a budget and you obtain discounted rates.

Its location is excellent, in Zona Rosa, walking distance to Reforma, Chapultepec Park, 222 Mall, subway Insurgentes, Metrobus, etc. The hotel in general, and our room in particular, were very clean. Don't use the hotel's own taxi service. They wanted to charge me 100 pesos for a short trip. I called TaxiMex (secure taxi service) instead and it only cost 43 pesos for the trip. The cleaning staff opened the door to enter the room without knocking on the first day a few hours after arriving. Then knocked on the door at 8:30am and entered 3 seconds […] later the next morning wanting to do an inspection. Other guests were attempting to enter the room at 4:30am, but obviously had the wrong room. Perhaps it didn't help that no key rings were provided, just the key with the number etched onto the key. I complained about these 3 disturbances to reception, they apologised for the other guests trying to enter the room but seemed to think it ok that hotel staff enter the room without knocking and early in the morning. This hotel was good hotel,we had excellent service by the housekeeping staff, resturaunt staff, front desk and door men. Polite and made every attempt to speak English when they could. The resuraunt had vegetarian food from 11 am to 5 pm, which was wonderful for us as we are vegetarian. The hotel is a mess. We waited 1.5 hours for our room, and yes, it was well beyond check in time. The building has 21 floors and only one operating elevator that can only hold a handful of people. My family and I stayed there for 7 nights. It is a very nice hotel. The staff and resturant staff were very friendly and helpful. (the food was great!) Overall, we were pleased with the Century Hotel in Mexico City. It is an older property and could use some updates, but was clean and we liked the location. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Many of them spoke very good English, which was nice.

I ordered room service but it was a very limited menu which was strange given that the hotel had a FULL restaurant downstairs. En lineas generales, fue bueno. El hotel requiere una remodelación. Los elevadores son lentos (sólo uno funciona). El ruido de la calle se sentía en la habitación a pesar de estar en un piso 17 (la ventana no cerraba de forma hermética). El servicio es bueno para el precio pagado. El servicio de internet también funcionada muy bien.
