Best thing I can say about the Hotel is that the room was clean, and the receptionist was really sorry about how long it took to check in. Their computer system was screwed up, and it took about 20 minutes for us to get a room. When we did get to our room, the sound isolation was pretty awful, and the next room's air conditioner was really loud. At […] 1:30 a.m., the next room's television went on even louder, and the only options available was to change the room. Continental breakfast, though not expected, was not worth mentioning, other than saying that you shouldn't expect it. They were out of coffee, but did have cereal and little muffins, and if you wanted to wait for the machine, you could make a waffle. It was an overnight stop for me and I found everything in order. The staf was courteous. Nothing fancy but a clean room with a microwave, iron and all basic stuff one would expect. Add to that a decent breakfast and it was worth the money I paid. Experience was OK except that the steps leading to my room on the second floor were cordoned off because, I assume, they were in danger of failing. I had to walk quit a distance to access stairs that I could use.

The building is in such disrepair that one of the stair cases is marked off with yellow tape so as not to allow its use. The bathroom was so awful I waited till I got home to shower. The sink took in excess of 30 minutes to drain. Overall a very disappointing stay.

I arrived late (after midnight) and was accidentally checked into a room with a non-functioning shower and didnt notice until morning when I was getting ready for work. The hotel staff appologized profusely and got me into a room with a working shower right away. Everyone makes mistakes...customer service is working to fix such mistakes. The staff was very friendly and helpful. No heat in the rooms. Hotel was not the most modern, but was clean. Housekeeping wasn't thorough in vacuuming the room. There was a shortage of face towels. Breakfast was good. They had instant oatmeal, two kinds of cold cereal, apples, orange and apple juice, tea, coffee milk for the cereal, hard boiled eggs, […] and make your own waffles with a waffle maker, syrup and margarine, bread to toast. My friend and I were checking into different rooms and we both had to wait almost 20 minutes to be helped. The staff never even looked up at us and there was a line behind us. When we were finally helped, the staff was rude and completely unhelpful. Then they asked if we were together and I said yes, we were there for the same event. The man said, "Okay" […] and gave us what he said were rooms next to each other. They were actually quite far away. The room was non-smoking, but reeked of cigarettes. Absolutely disgusting. Clean and recently-renovated motel. Front desk friendly and helpful. Rooms are a bit sparse but functional. Very good value compared to the other chain hotels in town that go for literally twice the price.

There was an open bar of soap and shampoo in the bathroom and hair in the sink. Nothing awful but slightly annoying. The room was narrow and between the bed and massive CRT TV there wasn't much room for navigating. Still, a comfortable hotel room despite its oddities (who puts a full-size refrigerator in a hotel room?)

The hotel was ok if you are cost conscious and need a place to crash for the night. The room was dreary and poorly laid out. There was no place to sit and there was no extra table either. The staff was friendly and the continental breakfast was pretty good. There was no newspapers at the front desk of ant kind. All in all, an average experience.

We wanted an inexpensive stay in the Solvang area and this motel was the lowest. The room was clean and they had upgraded most of the room. Everything worked and they had a flat screen TV with cable. This hotel is sketchy. We really thought about staying somewhere else even though we pre-paid, but it was late and we just wanted to sleep. We changed rooms because someone had left their boots, socks, and a knife under the bed. We booked online & it still took 25 mins to check in. Beds were rock hard, carpet dark from dirt, tub skid matt had been removed but not the gunk that holds it there, all the towel were stained a few had holes, the heater/air conditioner cover had been taped on with packing tape & was still on the floor leaning on the unit. There was someone sleeping […] in their van in the parking lot that made me a bit uneasy. Morning breakfast may have been good if the front clerk had not been so everwhelmed with other complaints from other quests - it took her over 20 minutes to get the waffle mix replaced therefore we didn't have time left to eat. All was good. Great check in and check out service. Continental breakfast wasn't all that great. Almost everything was gone when we went to eat at 7:30am. I guess construction workers were there before us and ate it all up. Hotel clerk did restock but we were in a hurry so didnt' get to enjoy it like we had hoped for.

My wife's Aunt passed away and we attended the funeral. I didn't know it, most of the funeral party stayed at this same hotel. The walls were very thin, I could hear every drop of water move through the pipes. The people in the adjoining room had a welcoming baby crying at midnight! The airconditioner was very old and I had to use the knob from one […] to adjust the rest of the dials. The A/C's also extended out into the walk way and made moving around challenging. The room as ok. The 'full' size refer was just over college dorm size. The lighting over the sink mirrow wasn't very bright.The bath towels reminded me of Gym towels from High School. We had to ask for several towels for our two night stay. The front desk lady saw my online reservation and only keyed our key cards for one night, not the two that I booked.
