Rooms were pretty good. Nice TV's with a good work area where you can still watch TV while working. Only thing that could be better was the shower heads. The water barely comes out with much force. Need new showheads.

I like Red Roof because it eases traveling with my dog. The staff was very nice and friendly, the hotel is in a terrific location. My girlfriend and I choose this hotel because it was close to the Greensboro Coliseum. The hotel room was renovated and clean upon arrival. However, the toilet was flushing very slowly and not long after we were there, it overflowed. The hotel room telephone was broken so we had to walk down to the lobby to tell them about problem. It was time for us […] to depart for the concert, so we told the front desk clerk about the issue, hoping it would get resloved while we were out. She told me that "I can give you a plunger and towels, but there is no maintanece man on duty that eveing. " She wanted us to clean up the mess and plunge the toilet. I told her I did not think it was my responsibility to take care of that, and asked for some compensation. She was polite and offered a hospitality credit. By the time we arrived back from the concert, the water had absorbed into the carpet and bathroom flooring. The next morning, the desk clerk (not the one from the night before) offered me a free night's stay and was very polite. The room was nice enough and was clean. The problem was that when I first entered the room, i knew it had been a smoking room but didn't think it was too bad. I stayed for 2 nights. The first day i stayed in the room to work for a couple of hours and although noticeable, it didn't seem to bad. By the end of my stay being in the room mostly to sleep […] only, the stale smoke just permeated everything. I felt like it was on my skin and that i had been breathing the odor in. When i got home all my clothes smelled like old stale cigarette smoke and i had to wash everything, even stuff that was never worn. I would not stat at this hotel (or any red roof inn) again. I thought that the room was nice. The staff was good. Location was good. I did have a uncomfortable experience with someone that lived at the hotel. We were leaving very early to catch our flight and I was packing the car. He came up to me and asked for a ride to his work. He was very persistent. After following me to the lobby, I declined.

The entire hotel was very clean and the staff very nice. The only complaint I have is that the entire room was wet when I checked in. The carpets must have just been cleaned along with the bedding, causing the room to be extremely humid. We checked in at 1pm and figured 12 hours later when we would be coming back after the concert we bought tickets […] too it would be dry and ok. That wasn't the case, and it was a little late to complain to the front desk and our room was already a handicapped one because it was the last open room of its size (the larger room), so there wasn't anything that could have been done anyway. Our stay was fine especially for the price. Other reviews said that there wasn't a fridge in the room and there was. There was also a full size ironing board and iron which many stated wasn't available. The accomodations were acceptable. Overall, a good stay and I would stay here again.
