Won't go back.
Room smelled. While facility is pet friendly, it should not feel like you are staying in a kennel. The sidewalk outside the room was smeared with animal feces. It is suggested that they use a pressure cleaner on the sidewalks where irresponsible pet owners allow their animals to defecate. No one wants to track that into their room or their automobile.

Room needs some work on caulking around tub, sink, baseboard - old and shrunken, with gaps. Towels thin, bed poorly made, but comfortable.

Fun in Asheville
Clean rooms, quiet. This is a bare bones hotel, no frills. but the bed is comfortable, people are very friendly and welcoming!

Good enough and affordable
Pros - affordable, good location, nice employees, pet friendly, close to Dunkin Donuts, clean enough, felt safe enough (our roof luggage did not get stolen over a two night stay). Neutral/Cons - although the place was clean enough, there were still some things that made it obvious the building was a little older and they've renovated; the side where we stayed faced the freeway and it was pretty loud, so it was a good thing that we're both pretty heavy sleepers; A/C seemed to be just OK, it seemed to stop kicking on in the middle of the night and so the room got pretty stuffy, but otherwise was good enough; the room was just big enough, so it felt a tiny bit cramped with two adults and a dog and all our things.

Very pleased
I picked this hotel based on the reviews and price. The plan was a quick trip, we didn't need anything more then a clean place to sleep between our outdoor plans. We stayed in another red roof the night before in a different town and that room worried me. But our stay at this hotel was very nice. The staff is very friendly and helpful and check in was a breeze. We had a 3rd floor room facing away from traffic and had no problem sleeping. Very nice and clean in all respects. If you're planning to visit downtown Asheville, Biltmore or the blueridge parkway this is the perfect spot with easy access to it all. Many eating options right there within walking or very short driving distance. We were there leading to a holiday so the price was a bit inflated but I will return for future visits and would recommend to others.
