Older, run-down hotel with very limited, basic services. Prices were competitive and certainly reasonable, but you get what you pay for. "Decent for a one-nighter"
We were in St. Louis for one night and needed a place to lay our heads. We got there pretty late (about 10pm) and the staff was cordial. The hotel is nothing to write home about. It's right off a highway but I didn't feel like it was that noisy when we shut the door. The room had that old hotel smell but it wasn't from cigarrettes so that was not as […] bad. Asked for non-smoking room...room clearly smoked in by smell, burn marks, and lighter. They just move the no smoking signs to rooms that are requested to be non-smoking. The beds were way too soft for me...just me though could be fine for others. Very tiny bathrooms but serve their purpose. First of all, we were placed in a handicap room. We asked if they would like to move us to a different room. We were told that we could stay in that room. It had snowed the night before and the parking lot had not been cleared. The night manager told us it would be okay to park in the handicap spot in front of our room. (Needless to say, we did, and […] ended up with a $150 fine). There was hair in the bathtub and in the sink when we got there. I had a last minute business trip and I unfortunately I had to pick up the tab for the room so I went with the cheapest. I can't really complain too much since the price is so cheap.
