The Desk Clerk was very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean but the carpet needed to either be replaced or cleaned. I would stay here again.There was a microwave and fridge in the room which was very nice.

Exactly the experience I had hoped for. Hotel room was clean, beds were actually very comfortable. Easy to find, close to the highway. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Outside of the hotel is a bit weathered, but who really cares. All I wanted was a clean room, and comfy bed, and that is exactly what I got.

When we checked in the man at the desk said he put us in a handicapped room. They are not convenient for those that do not need it. One waste basket, little shelf for essentials in bath & I was told the beds were new but it was not comfortable

The staff was friendly, the beds very comfortable. We only had one shampoo even tho their were 3 of us, didn't use it tho because their was no hair dryer in the room...also disappointed that we didnot have coffee maker either. Right off I-70 with resturants all around us.

" smoke free" room was not, the comforter was deluged with smoke residue. For a non smoker with a head cold, well lets just say I got very little sleep. We did not receive daily housekeeping , no clean towels and lack of enough ( 2 bath and 1 wash cloth for 2) and what seemed to be full time residents( kitty next door) which made me feel like an intruder rather then a welcomed guest. This is NOT a non-smoking hotel! Our room smelled badly of smoke and there were cigarette butts on the pavement all around the hotel grounds. The room was large and the bed was comfortable, so we endured for one night.

My husband and I did a quick one night stay at this location and the location off the highway was very convenient. There is a Bob Evans and other restaurants very close by. We did get a non smoking room but it was clear they used bedding that was previously in a smoking room so it was a bit smelly.

Red Roof Inns have always maintained a higher standard than all other budget motel chains put together and their cleanliness, locations , and lease programs with Bob Evans restaurants are a positive with me .

The rooms were fairly small. Two beds in the room. One was made normally. The other bed appeared to have been straightened but was folded down. Upon lifting top blankets we were not sure it had been changed. We had arrived late so slept in the other bed. Bathroom appeared clean, but run down and hardly any water pressure to shower.

The clerk who checked us in and checked us out again the next morning, was very pleasant and helpful. The room was as described, and the bed was comfortable. They did forget to put the mini-shampoo in the shower, but this was not a horrible inconvenience for us. I will stay here again the next time we visit St. Charles.

Rooms 203,233,140,251,and 223 all need to be decontaminated. Apparently these rooms, as well as several others I'm told, had their carpets shampooed. However the carpet and padding soured and mildewed before they could dry. The only effort to rectify this was a few squeezes from a Febreeze bottle that they guarded with extreme stinginess. The staff […] at the front desk was condescending and belligerent on every issue that was brought up. Especially the the odor issue. Now to top everything off they have gone up on their rates. I guess theres a premium for Febreeze treatment. I hope all Red Roof Inns aren't this way, this was my first time to do business with them as I travel extensively for work, it will be my last. I have stayed here two or three times five years ago with no complaints....but time marches on............one mattress springs totally shot, unbearable, 2nd bed mattress bearly passable............no ice whatsoever, even in vendor area by office..........................never again!!!!!!!!

The door to my room was hard to open. My room was not visited by housekeeping on our second day. My second room the full bag of trash was left in the sink. When I told the front desk clerk about the lack of housekeeping she said they did not do housekeeping every day. The day we checked out the front desk clerk was much more concerned and helpful.

The personal there were fine, the room was fine, but when we were heading to our room, there were many people on the railings staring at us constantly as we made our way up the stairs to our room, making my wife very uncomfortable. We were wondering if we would have wheels on our car when we left. Then in the morning as we were leaving ( still had wheels, […] big relief), there was a couple sitting on the second floor with garbage bags with them... we went down the stairs and a shopping cart was there, probably belonging to the homeless couple at the top of the stairs.
