This is the second time I stayed in this motel and both times the room smelled like smoke. I am aware that the rooms have been renovated and the rooms are now non-smoking rooms but the smell is still embedded into the walls.

I would have rated this hotel a 5 star if their internet doesn't act up. All of our gadgets only had 2 bars and the last night of our stay was completely nothing. But overall, we are satisfied with the room (very clean), service and staff were helpful and friendly.

Very clean, comfortable hotel- a great deal for the buck. Be warned, the first shuttle to the airport doesn't leave til 5 am. But if you have a very early departure, a cab will cost only about $10. Very satisfied.

The person who checked us in seemed very disinterested, but the rest of the staff I met was polite and helpful. The maid service came while I was in the shower and never returned to tidy the room. Aside from that issue, everything was fine.

It was just overnight from 11 PM - 4 AM. The staff was friendly and helpful; when the shuttle driver was late for the 5 AM shuttle, the gentleman at the front desk kindly drove us in to make our flight. The neighborhood is a bit rough perhaps, but not atypical of the area. It was a nice hotel. You could tell that it was restored but it was very nice. It was appropriate for the price. The only thing was the close proximity it was to everything; there was no convenient store and we had to get a cab to get there. That would be the only complaint.

Hotel was way more then I expected. Spotless, bed very comfortable, great TV! Personnel were friendly. Could not have asked for one thing more. Location is convenient to everything and anywhere you may need to go. I will ALWAYS stay at this hotel whenever I visit Baltimore.

The rooms were almost impeccable and furnished very nicely with new contemporary furniture. Not very good furniture but nonetheless the nicest i've seen for a hotel charging only $60 a night. Only thing lacking was the number of restaurant options around and the lack of a fridge in the rooms. My biggest complaint was that the bed and especially pillows were too hard. I couldn't sleep. Other than that it was just fine. Room was remodeled and clean. Caution the shuttle closes early in the evening to the airport.

Overall it was a nice hotel. My only complaint is I checked in on a Thursday and checked out on a Sunday, housekeeping only came to my room when I called them Saturday evening. They knocked on the door and handed me clean sheets and towels then walked away after they told me to put the dirty linen outside my door.

Some people are concerned about the safety of an old style motel design, where the rooms are entered off a long balcony, but I was surprised by the utility, cleanliness, and quiet of this Red Roof. And especially for those using an airport hotel - where stays are shorter and amenities are less desirable, the price I paid was very reasonable.

I was advised 3days prior to my check in that I would be allowed to do an early check in (7am) but upon my arrival, I had to pay for an upgrade because only deluxe rooms were available. While I appreciate the early check in, I think the upgrade fee should have been waved since that was the only thing available.

I was really surprised with the Red Roof Inn. I was expecting much worse but after walking in our room, I was pleasantly surprised. They really did a good job with their renovation. I'm not saying it is paradise, but for a cheap alternative VERY close to the airport, I think it did the trick! The room was clean and the front desk was helpful.
