Red Roof Inn Lexington South - Lexington

It was really not, because it is close to nicholasville road but still off the beat. There were some shady people in the parking lot late nite but nothing scary. Rooms are almost brand new with wood floors. Really nice for a hotel.

They did a nice job on the new décor, but the HVAC must not have been part of the redo. AC was very noisy. Luckily, the temperature was not high overnight, so I cooled the room, then turned it off. It was a quick trip so we weren't looking for anything great just comfortable and clean. It was my daughter and her two young boys and myself. It was in the process of being renovated but they did a good job of still making it assessable and a lot of things were new so it was very clean. It was a good location for us and easy to get to.

The only reason I booked here was convience. My buisness meetings were just a minute from the location. I will never book here again. I've stayed at red roof inns when I was younger and they were run a lot better. The only thing missing from my trip was yellow caution tape for a crime scene.

Not a bad room for a cheap last minute stay, small but adequate. No iron/ironing board, no fridge. It was quiet and had an elevator. Hard to get out of hotel with no light at the intersection, and you're right next to an adult goodies shop. It was okay, but I don't think I'll return.

Opened the door and the room reeked of wet dog and musty smell, the floor near the bathroom was wet and sticky, there was a crack in the sink, the bath tub had black stains in it, the ceiing was falling down, a hole in the wall, the bedspread had large tears and burns in it. I asked for another room and was told that they had no more available, however, […] it was clear that there was a lot of room vacant.. I looked in the phone book and noted that whoever stayed also got stuck with this room noted the prices of other hotels and vacancies trying to find another room somewhere else.
