"Nice hotel close to Denver Int'l Airport"
I had a very late flight in to DIA and arrived to my hotel by 1am. The desk clerk was busy with other customers when I arrived, but she remained coherent that I was waiting and acknowledged my presence with a smile. The room was ordinary and nice, however not as nicely appointed as the Quality Inn in Tallahassee that I stayed in the evening before. […] The bed was VERY COMFORTABLE and I slept soundly the entire evening. The bathroom was clean and adorned with ordinary appointments you'd see in any standard type of hotel; however, a set of towels were arranged together into the shape of two swans, making a heart in the center. It was very nice to see that someone cared to do that and it made me feel special. I slept in late so I missed breakfast, but when I did arrive downstairs the available coffee was fantastic. "No more Quality Inns in my future"
Check in was slow...there was only one girl behind the desk and there was a line waiting. A second employee apparently called in sick leaving one person on staff. Unacceptable. The floors in the room were nothing short of filthy. I took a shower before dinner, came back to the room and was walking in bare feet that night, then only to get up and make […] my way to the shower the next morning. My feet became black from walking on the carpet for that short period of time. I can only imagine what else was dirty in the room. The air conditioner in the room blew directly at my bed...there was no way to alter the air flow. I placed the two chairs in the room in front of the AC, and placed extra pillows on the side of me to stop the air from blowing directly on me. I can't imagine the hotel could buy a cheaper iron and ironing board. The iron wouldn't stay hot, and the ironing board was so wobbly and cheap that every time I tried to adjust my clothes on the board, the iron would fall over. "What customer service??"
On the up side... It was comfortable, quiet, and conveniently located near the airport with a free shuttle to the airport. The driver was wonderful! On the down side... The hotel was a bit expensive for what you get (I know, I know, location is everything). It was also unfortunate that the front desk person was quite lacking in customer service skills. Stay was great.Disappointed with front desk help. Unfortunately we arrived after 11pm. I am 69 with a back problem and I struggled with trying to get a luggage trolley through the door. Took this hotel based on price for 1 night stay before early am departure. After check in entered room and found air very humid, close and with slightly off putting feel, like ac filters hadn't been changed. Luckily was able to open window and keep open for duration of stay. Found one odor problem, the shower curtain smelled. I reported this needed […] to be changed out when we went out to dinner (and a cleaning cart was still in the hallway at that time) Was told they would look into it but that people who do that work likely gone. When we returned,upon inquiry were told Maintenance needed to take the rod down to take off curtain (honest) and since they were gone for the day could only spray it..which was done. Things did smell better but upon closer inspection I found these curtains come off easier than the ones with rings; the rod does not need to be dismantled. Staff at desk very helpful on check-ins with wake-up and shuttle reservations initially but later when on phone need to recognize people standing at desk at least non- verbally. Hotel desk staff were sullen and not happy with their work. Only 2 towels were in the bathroom plus a washcloth. Drinking cups were super cheap thin plastic (only 2 in room) just to let us know this was a low class hotel. For just a few pennies of expense in things like that they would be upgraded to 3 stars. In a typical guest room with a king sized bed, there is normally only two sets of towels and washcloths. Additional towels can be provided upon request.
Quality Inn was very reasonable and adequate. No complaints, but nothing outstanding either. They did have a hot breakfast which was decent. Again, it wasn't outstanding, but it was edible. "Make sure you get to the shuttle on time"
Overall the place was fine. However, I had a 6:30 AM flight and they recommended I take the 4:40 shuttle. I got a little hung up getting down, including a glacially slow elevator, and as I was heading to the lobby door I saw the van leaving. After some fretting and putting down my luggage, about 30 seconds later I looked at my iPhone, which said 4:40, […] so I was seconds late if that. I should point out that I was signed up for the van, so it's not like they didn't know someone was missing. When I said to the woman behind the desk that I guess I would have to take the 5 AM shuttle, she said nothing. It turns out that it was a smaller van, all the places were taken, so I had to wait for the 5:20 shuttle. Had I known that, I would have looked into calling a cab. This left me running through the airport with no time to spare. I checked my bag 1 minute later than the 45 minute deadline, but the airline allowed me to do it, and by the time I got through security, took the train and ran to the gate, I just made the flight, getting on line behind the last 7 or so people left. I realize they were in their rights to leave exactly on time, but it would have been nice to have been told it was so strict. Moreover, the van then went to the adjacent sister hotel and if they had communicated with the driver, they would have lost less than a minute picking me on the way back. Due to traffic and sometimes unexpected construction delays, it is important that our hotel's airport shuttles leave on time. A few minutes delay will actually cause the shuttle to run late on future runs.

The blackout drapes are actually located behind the sheer curtains and decorate drapes. We are working with our housekeepers to keep them drawn a little more so that they are more visible to our guests.

"Surprisingly pleasant stay for a quick layover tri"
Very convenient shuttle service from the airport. I was there from 12 a.m. and leaving by 6 a.m., so a very short stay. I was super pleased with the check in, the look of the hotel on the lobby level and the room. Such a comfortable bed (like a cloud) and flat screen tv. The only weird thing was that when I came in there was a random shower head on […] the floor next to the toilet and a broken bar of soap. However, I didn't care since the bed and bathroom was clean.
