      Good quality hotel. Friendly and competent staff. Room well cleaned. Slightly worn; perhaps could use some updating of facilities.The location is slightly our of the way for downtown restaurants and theatres, though just fine is you enjoy walking. A safe neighborhood.

      This is a very nice hotel with a courteous staff. The room was clean and large by European standards, and we were within walking distance of some really nice pubs and restaurants. Parking is reasonably priced in a nearby garage. There is a fitness center with some small weights and some cardio machines. The staff were extraordinarily helpful: my mom lost her wallet, and the general manager made several phone calls and took her to the police station, where someone had turned in her wallet. I would definitely stay here again.

    Traveling with husband, sister/brother-in-law. Our rooms were on the top floor and had opening windows. We could see the River Liffey from our rooms. I... didn't really notice an unusual amount of noise at night despite the proximity to Temple Bar area. The hotel bar is a strange set up and was nearly deserted the one night we were there.     The staff were great, always helpful and 'real person' polite not forced. I would caution N American travelers that the rooms are quite small by US and Canadian standards but we were not planning any parties. There are a dizzying array of restaurants close by. The room was clean and comfortable. I would not hesitate to book there again.

    Location is very conveniently located in Dublin. The first night was lovely, the second (a Friday) was a bit noisier. I would ask for a room not on the street side if staying over the weekend. Front desk staff were wonderful and went out of their way to assist.

    Our stay at the George Frederic Handel was excellent, the breakfast was excellent selection and cooked to order. The front desk staff was excellent and helped us with directions, good restaurants.Nothing was to much trouble.location was idea with in walking distance of everything.     We really enjoyed our stay at the George Fredrick Handel Hotel. The front desk employees went out of their way to be helpful and polite. The location is great -- we were able to walk to many of the sights we wanted to see. Also it was only a short 20 minute walk to Heuston Station. I would definitely stay there again.

    When we arrived to the hotel it was 2 PM and our room was not ready. When we got to the room, there was a very strong, nauseating scent of air freshener. We opened the window and turned on the ceiling fan only to find that it grated when it was on. As the air freshener started to dissipate, we began to smell a strong odor of mold in the room. I had […] already called about the room odor and was told to just open the window and start the fan. I then called Expedia. We ended up moved to a better smelling room and a promise from the manager that our stay would be good if we gave them a 2nd chance. I dearly wish I had insisted on changing hotels that day. We were very busy on our trip and that first day was the only day we would have had to changed. Our room was only cleaned (bed was made, trash can emptied) once during our 4 day stay, after a request, and our towels were never changed. The hotel does not provide washclothes. Shampoo and hand soap are attached to the walls of the bathroom. The hair dryer is fastened under the desk, is at least 20 years old, & only worked as long as you continually pressed the button. The hotel itself is really in need of an update. The carpeting has holes in several places. You have no control over the temperature of your room. There are not sufficient plugs in the walls to charge items like cell phones or cameras. Claudia, the receptionist, is the hotel's saving grace. She is knowledgeable and polite and belongs in a better establishment. Read more

    I was disappointed with the room as it was very small though the bathroom was fine. The fixtures seemed cheap though everything was clean. Free wi fi is a plus though it wasn't always working

    It was ok. The room was perfectly clean but very small & the view was of a carpark across the street. There was no atmosphere downstairs, the reception & bar were completely deserted. We didn't stay for breakfast as it was just so quiet & there was no one else around. I feel we paid too much for our nights stay.

    Went to a concert in Vicar street and this hotel was very convenient and central, staff very friendly,room very clean would definitely go back. loved the sea gulls outside the window in the morning.

    Hotel did not do food in the evening but we found a great pub "Darkey Kelly's almost next door. Hotel staff friendly and very helpful, room comfortable but bathroom looked a bit tired although spotlessly clean rest of hotel was spotless. We would stay there again
