The staff was great as is this hotel. The only complaint was the slowness of the elevators.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
This is our new favorite hotel in downtown. The rooms are pretty and the staff very courteous.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

The Magnolia was great... a beautiful historical hotel with lots of great restaurants located within in walking distance. Thank you for a wonderful stay!!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Staff perception something else"
I made this reservation early so that my girlfriend and I would go there after the George Strait concert in Arlington. The area was very nice, right downtown. But... we couldn't get t here to secure a room prior to the concert, as we just had arrived into town after driving from Cali for like 2 days. Went to concert then the room and the front desk […] clerk assumes we are lesbians - we are not - he didn't even ask us anything but gave us 1 double bed. I had purchased 2 queens. He was not willing to assist us after we asked for a roll a bed and said he couldn't help. I was disgusted on how this front desk employee treated the issue. We ended on calling maintenance and the maintenance man was the best ever!! he said he wanted to make sure our stay was good and brought us another bed for the very small room. He accommodated us and turned this front desk annoying person into a good experience. I just wished I remembered his name.! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"My days in Dallas"
I thought the magnolia hotel was very was quaint. Dallas is already full of friendly people. Which is a nice change from Houston's Yankee like aggressive demeanor. The hotel offered a whimsical yet modern feel to my stay and a awesome view for anyone who appreciates a great shot of a bustling city. All in all it made my stay very tranquil.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great Hotel - Bad Elevators"
Great Service, Great Breakfast, Great Location, Great Hotel Overall, But The Elevators Were A PaIn On The Last Day. Had To Walk Down 11 Flights Of Stairs With Our Luggage Because We Could Not Get An Elevator. There Was An Employee On The 11Th Floor That Apologized Because He Saw What Was Happening. Otherwise, Great Stay. Parking Available 1 Block Away […] For $10 / Day Was Reasonable Option To $24 / Valet At Hotel. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great Front Desk Employee Service"
The room was great but the service we got from the front desk starting with our check-in was great. All of your service is great. Thank you for the quality of your employees.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The maintainence staff was awesome here much better than management. I had a problem with my room and asked for the manager only to be brushed off on maintainence. I booked a signature queen suite and was place in a really small room which looked nothing like the pictures or a suite for that matter. I was hosting a baby shower so the room turned out […] to be way too small. After the clean up I started the dishwasher which ran water everywhere. My friend I and didn't even want to leave the room because we were on the 19th floor and it would take the elevators close to fifteen minutes just to arrive. The hotel was really nice but needs a new manager other than Shane that will actually cater to the customers. The most enjoyable part of the hotel was complimentary...breakfast and happy hour. "Wedding night stay"
We got a free suite upgrade and bottle of wine, they definitely spoiled me and my new wife! The hotel was immaculate and the staff couldn't have been friendlier. We had an amazing experience and I would recommend the magnolia dallas to anyone!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Wish I could have stayed longer!"
The staff at Magnolia were very polite and attentive, our room was very clean, they have wonderful amenities to include a reception hour with beverages and milk and cookies brought to your room at 8 pm.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Sleek modern in historical downtown"
I loved the historical downtown Dallas location, next to the famous Adolphous and Anatole, but with a lower price tag. The Magnolia is beautiful and comfortable with a wonderful understanding staff. The bed divine -- slept until after 9:30 a.m., which I haven't in a long time. Loved itGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Valets broke into the toolbox of my truck using the key. No forced entry. Would not make the situation right. Elevators take 10+ minutes. Will never stay again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Staff is friendly and knowledgeable"
This was our second stay at Magnolia, the last stay was 2 years ago. We found the same clean and well maintained hotel. We love the free breakfast, the free drinks at happy hour, and the shuttle. The staff is incredibly friendly, knowledgeable about the area, and helpful. One evening, I asked about jazz venues. Instead of just suggesting an area to […] try various venues, the person at the front desk suggested 2 venues that she had actually visited and proceeded to describe their food, the music, and their ambience. She was describing 2 venues in Deep Ellum. We didn't have a chance to visit them due to other commitments but I'm confident she gave honest assessments of these businesses. You'll love The Magnolia. The staff strives to make you feel at home. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Hope you aren't in a hurry."
The hotel facilities itself and the staff was very good. I expected a typical continental breakfast, but it was a quite large selection of food including eggs and hash browns, etc. There were too many negatives for us to want to stay there again though. It looked like because of the location, the only way to deal with the car was to pay $25 for valet […] parking. The room air conditioner was pretty noisy. The outside noise, even though we were on the 8th floor, was pretty high including sirens from fire engines. Even though there were four elevators on the room floors, we had to take the stairwell down on the morning of check out and it looked like everybody else was doing the same thing. We waited about 15 minutes for the elevator and each time the elevator doors opened, which wasn't very often, the elevators were full. So we decided to take the stairwell down. When we got into the stairwell everybody else was coming down with their luggage to head to the lobby also. Even though the valet attendants were busting tail, it took about 20 minutes to get our car. Next time I will stay outside of downtown and get a cheaper and faster place to stay. Complimentary drinks, great service, good breakfast. Old building and slow elevators, but those were the only problems. I wouldn't mind staying again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great place to stay, once you make it to your room"
Everything is what I expected from the Magnolia, it was great. The elevator situation was awful. Had to wait fifteen minutes for it at times. This must be fixed before we come back and stay on the 24th floor again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

We had a great stay at the Magnolia in Dallas! We had tickets to a Broadway show at the Fair Park Music Hall which was just minutes away. There are wonderful places to eat within walking distance. "Luxurious in downtown"
Didn't see many restaurants nearby, but they have a list of places to order from. Valet parking or find a parking garage. Very luxurious. Not sure of other locations, but the zoo is nearby.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We enjoyed the hotel very much. Didn't feel that elevators where an issue for us. It didn't seem overly busy the weekend that we stayed so that could've helped. Just ask for free drinks at the front desk and the will give you two free drink vouchers for the bar. Not a 5star hotel but not far off. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. "More like Magnificent Hotel"
I didn't stay long at the Magnolia, but it is a beautiful building, in a nice part of Dallas. The staff is friendly, helpful, and courteous. Overall, my stay was excellent, and I will definitely return.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Sheets didn't feel softer than average hotel except soo old they were very thin/ transparent. Temperature fluxuates from very cold to hot humid. Plumbing was loud gurgled several minutes after every use. The view- other rooms across( 20' away ) we saw people sitting visiting 3 different rooms clearly visible. No privacy unless wood blinds and roman […] shades closed. Either of the two elevators that were working felt like your organs kept going at every stop. Room service had limited hours if you sleep in you miss breakfast and dinner ends at 11pm. Complimentary soap shampoo stunk floral scent towels like sand paper. Parking is a pay to park 1.5 Blocks away unless you valet park at over $25 per day. Final bill I authorized $25 more to be added to my credit after paying for stay, by that nighti checked my bank they charged me )$125. I would not recommend this hotel. This is a great hotel. Perfect location and excellent staff. I will be staying here the next time I come to Dallas.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
My wife and I chose to stay at The Magnolia while traveling through Texas. We were not disappointed! The historic hotel was just what we needed to turn a regular overnight stay into a romantic getaway. The hotel staff was excellent, they made sure that our stay was very comfortable. We initially selected this hotel due to its proximity to Gexa Center and the fact that it offered free shuttles to anywhere in a 3 mile radius. We were VERY pleasantly surprised when we checked in and the front desk offered us a complimentary upgrade since we were celebrating our wedding anniversary. The room was very nice with a huge bathroom. They […] also had a happy hour with free drink coupons and a complimentary breakfast buffet that was AWESOME! "Wonderful experience overall."
This place was great! Beautiful architecture, ultra high ceilings in the rooms, close to all kinds of stuff downtown. The only bad thing I can say about it was the elevators were really slow, and dumpy looking. But they are in the process of renovations, so I believe after that is completed this will be another top notch hotel. The staff were all very […] friendly and attentive. Nice bar and lounge on the second floor. With a huge breakfast in the morning, and free cookie bar from 8-10pm! I highly recommend this place to anyone who enjoys a classic building with great architecture to stay in. Even though the building is old, it has all great modern conveniences. The internet worked well, and the showers/ hot and cold water worked perfectly. As well as the a.c. They definitely didn't spare any expense in turning this building in to a well working modern hotel. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"A little chaotic"
I have used this hotel many times and usually it is so wonderful. We were at check in at 3 and didn't get into our room until 45 minutes later. This was very inconvenient because we were in town for a wedding and needed to get ready after a full morning of traveling. The carpet around the bathroom was also soaked from some sort of leak but we didn't […] want to move rooms because we were so late getting into our room. The location, staff, and accommodations are wonderful but this stay was a bit unorganized. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Nice hotel but the elevators will ruin your stay"
This hotel is in a great location downtown. The rooms are nice and comfortable. However, the elevators are a disaster! "Great hotel, Terrible Valet Service"
The hotel itself was nice, but every time you try to ask for your car prepare to wait up to 30 minutes. The texting system they have seems like a good idea but its useless. I used it and waited a very long time and wound up being asked for my ticket anyway. The day I checked out I waited 30 minutes before being asked if I had my ticket (for the second […] time) and what kind of car I drive. After another 20 mins, the Valet told me my car died. When I expressed frustration that my car was fine yesterday, they admitted to me they left the car door open and drained my battery. I waited another 10 minutes before being told they had problems jumping my car. I then asked to be taken to my car. My battery had died and activated the alarm and I was unable to turn it off (not the valets fault) I had to call a tow truck but couldn't give them the address because the valet didn't know where the parking garage was located. I had to walk back to the hotel and wait an hour. During this time I asked the hotel to comp my parking because of the valet draining my battery. The hotel hadn't been relayed info about my car at all which I find pretty shady. They removed it and apologized to me but that was it. I liked the hotel but its useless to pay so much for the valet each night and get that kind of service. By the way the garage is 2 blocks away. VERY CLOSE Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
