It might not be right in Miami, but if you are a short drive to many things. PROS: Spacious, clean rooms. CONS:The parking lot was large but the parking spaces were VERY close together, rather inconvenient when getting luggage out.

I was in Miami for business and had two extra nights to myself. For those two nights I stayed at Candlewood Suites in Miami. I'm from the States but I'm working this year in Haiti. This was my one trip to the States. I needed to restock on supplies, etc and was looking for a hotel near the airport and close to basic shopping needs. I also wanted a little […] extra space and luxury. Having the kitchen was wonderful. It made it feel like it was more than a "normal" hotel but still for a very economical price. I found the bed and pillows especially comfortable. In the lobby they keep ice water with fresh strawberries cut up and placed inside! They have free laundry and a well-stocked pantry for snacks, frozen dinners, etc. The location is great as it is just minutes from basic shopping and not far from several great malls. I definitely recommend this as an affordable and better-than-average hotel. The 2-star rating at first made me hesitate, but I went off the guest ratings and comments and decided to try it out. The 1 bedroom was roomy and supplied well. the furniture was slightly worn, and the sofa bed was difficult to unfold.The traffic on 25th at 9am was almost gridlock, but that may be somewhat due to construction. The hotel doesn't have suites, it's just rooms with kitchenette. There is no room housekeeping so you have to make your bed, clean your room and go and get clean towels. The furniture was torn to the point I had to ask their management the change the recliner because it was filthy and upholstery torn. All together, it isn't worth the money I paid.

Conveniently close to the airport but there was no problem with aircraft noise. Shops and amenities are within relatively close driving distance. Small suite was very well equiped, other services such as laundry and gym well provided. Very helpful staff.

We had booked a handicapped accessible room. We even called the week before to confirm. Of course when we arrived there were no handicapped rooms available. The staff was never at front desk. We would need to call them for. service. Never again!!

Selected this hotel based on price point and good reviews. Our experience exceeded our expectation. We were thrilled to enter our room and find that it had a kitchenette. Comfortable bed. Great neighborhood with lots of dining options close by. Did not get a chance to utilize the fitness room or pool but each looked nice. My stay at the Candlewood was simply amazing! Great, quick, and friendly service! The neighborhood is very peaceful and theirs a beautiful lake right outside you can enjoy with your loved ones. The rooms are wonderful and makes you feel like your right at home. I couldn't ask for more!

We booked this hotel because we thought it was close to the Miami airport. It is not that close, they do not have a shuttle and it was $23-27 for taxi each way. Plus the bed was incredibly soft and lumpy. Cannot imagine staying there again unless I needed a suite and had a car.

Super Clean, Super Nice Hotel. Be careful as there is no front desk after 10pm. They will put your room key in a safe with your first name, and you type the first three letters of your last name to access it. Our cab ride was about $25 (the La Quinta hotel across the street has a shuttle from 6am to 10pm or so, we were able to catch a ride in the morning). […] But the place was the cleanest hotel room I have ever been in, and it had a fridge/microwave/stove. We were there for only a few hours, but could have lived there. Read more
