Great hotel. Loved the service, the view from my room and the location. It's within walking distance of anything you want to do in the South Beach Art Deco area. The fact that it was right on the beach was a plus. If you decide to stay here, you must try the Sushi bar located in the lobby area. It's great!

This hotel is doing some minor construction, and had a great promotional rate because of this. We neither heard any noise nor were we inconvenienced in any way. I have stayed in several hotels in the Miami Beach/Key Biscane area, and this one far outshines many other 4 star hotels. The location is steps from the beach, steps from Lincoln and great dining. The bed linens are wonderful, and the service, outstanding (especially at the pool-which is heavenly anyway!). Even without the special rate, this hotel exceeds expectations! We were towing a boat, which they do not allow on the premises, but they arranged for us to park it at another location a few blocks away.

The hotel is huge, so don't expect to get a first class service, especially in the pool area, the beach or when calling room service for ice (no ice machines on the floors). There were some renovations works during our stay, but we were located far form the noise. Although the room was very comfortable, the pool is always packed and if you choose the beach, you'll have to pay for the chairs and umbrellas (not good).

This is one of the best hotels in south beach. the staff was very accomadating. From the front desk to the pool. You can check as early as 9:30. Even though this hotel is very expensive it is worth every cent, because your treated like a big shot. I have been to this hotel about ten times in the last seven years, all though i'm getting little tired of the south beach scene,or maybe just a litle too old, I return just to stay at the Loews. My only small complaint was that I had to pay for the hotels beach chairs. I have one suggestion to make this a perfect hotel,is that they have a beautiful lobby, where they sould beef up the entertanment Thank you staff your the best.

My friend and I stayed at the Loews last week and had an awesome time. I can see how the hotel is getting an upgrade this summer because some of the lobby areas, while very pretty look a bit outdated. The room was really nice, not huge but clean, comfortable with nice decor. We spent a lot of time poolside which was great. Chairs next to the pool are very hard to come by, but you can always get a seat farther away from the pool. We ate at the outside pool bar and also at the inside restaurant for breakfast and snacks and the food was consistently good. We hope to come back soon!

Although the reservation specifically requested a room w/ two beds upon check-in the room had one bed. I traveled w/ a co-worker and needless to say this was quite an uncomfortable situation. The hotel was not able to accommodate our request for a room with two beds and could only offer a cot, which is not fair considering the rate of the hotel. I was extremely disappointed in the hotel and this booking.

The Lowes is one of the better South Beach hotels with a prime location on the beach. You pay primarily for the location, but what comes with it is suprisingly excellent service throughout the hotel. Everyone - from the bellman to the receptionist to the bartender - is genuinely warm and friendly. Unless you upgrade to a suite, the rooms are merely serviceable. If you travel often enough, you realize this is the norm for "above average" hotels in cities such as this. And besides, you shouldn't be spending too much time in your room anyway - work poolside if you have to.

The Loews is an excellent hotel and the service could not be better. However, I was blown away by the food and beverage prices and the additional charges for a beach chair and the fitness center. I would definitely go back to the hotel but NEVER at Christmas. There were not enough chairs at the pool and the competition to get them was fierce. Plus, I have never seen attendants actually "ticket" chair users and take away the chairs left unattended for an hour. I go on vacation to get away from these kinds of things. Even my teenage daughters got tired of the intense atmosphere.

$23 for a salad, $13 for a cocktail, $9 for a single beer? I'm sorry, but the hotel is not located on the other side of the moon. Unless there is an eating and drinking tax in Florida that I am not aware of, then the costs were totally outrageous. Another beef I have... why would I have to pay for Internet access? That should be included with the room. The fact that it is another up-charge is simply ridiculous. And while they are at it, this is 2008, and not 1998. The hotel needs to have WIRELESS Internet. The jinkey - short Ethernet cable that won't allow me to sit back on my bed while working on my laptop is almost laughable. Even crappy hotels give free wireless Internet. Lastly, the fact that I felt like I could almost see the people through the bathroom walls was annoying at best. I could hear them as if there was almost no wall between us. I was not interested in their conversation any more than I needed to listen to their bowel movements.
