"Just what I wanted"
Very nice staff and the price was a good bargain. close the airport and big businesses but on a quiet street.Genuine Expedia guest review
A good stay for the money. I thought, though, that they had advertised a free breakfast. What was offered was toast, juice, and coffee.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Affordable Option Outside of Portland"
Upon arrival, we got a free upgrade to a king bed, because all the non-smoking queens were booked. So that was great! The hotel was comfy, clean, and convenient to where we needed to be at a great price.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great for the price!"
The staff was very friendly. The room had everything I needed, including free WiFi, small fridge, microwave, desk, TV, storage space, and a comfortable bed. The room was clean, although appeared old, but in good repair. Continental breakfast was sparse, but fine for me. The location is quiet, but was a little further from my son's place than I would […] have wished for, but worth the little extra drive, for the money I saved. I think this hotel is a great value, and would stay here again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great hotel for short stays for an excellent price"
We booked a queen-size bed room, but we prefered it to be on the ground floor. Since there werent any, the staff were so kind and upgraded our room to a king bed room for the same price!Genuine Expedia guest review
I really did not fell safe there. my wife was sick and I had to leave her there alone. even though there was cameras all over I was not sure about her safety. OK for last minute.Genuine Expedia guest review
The place was very very Clean!!! And kept that way!!!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Place needs some help......"
The ceiling was pealing from water damage. The walls had unrepaired stress fractures. The furniture was beat up. The comforter on the bed was covered in hair from previous guests, couldn't use it to stay warm. I'm assuming it had never been washed. The rug had large holes in it. The bed itself was comfortable. The "continental" breakfast was pretty […] bare bones. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

Basic but very nice. When I got lost finding the place, the staff was very understanding and helpful.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good place for the price"
This is a great place to stay for the value if you need to be in the area. It isn't in the best part of town but it was close to where I needed to be and had good food choices within a few miles. The room was very clean which is a huge bonus to me. I can do with out fancy but not with out cleanliness. The desk clerk let us have a little later check […] out which was great. A downfall though was that the pillows are horrible. I usually travel with my own but had forgotten. If I need to stay here again I will make sure I don't forget my pillow. Another downfall was the continental breakfast. It consisted of a few mini muffins, bread, one bagel (we were there first thing) coffee and juice. But it was still better than nothing. "A must if staying if in Hillsboro, Oregon."
Good location, very clean, comfortable beds and friendly front desk person. I would gladly stay there again.Genuine Expedia guest review
The hotel staff were extremely professional and helpful. However, upon check-in, there was a woman who walked in off of the street and appeared homeless and a bit deranged. As this was my first time in Hillsboro, OR, the woman from the street made me question the safety of the neighborhood in which I had chosen to stay. I just hoped that the housekeeping […] staff clean the rooms thoroughly. I believe they do. Neighborhood concerns aside, this was a satisfactory hotel for a low price that gets the job done and provided a place for me to sleep. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Excellent for the price. Very Clean and Quiet. Close to shopping and restaurants yet off the beaten path and a nice, small-town feel. The staff was so friendly and helpful.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"convenient to everything"
our stay was very comfortable..i was impressed of their housekeeping cause they really change everything everyday..although free breakfast wasnt really that good, but it was ok..i liked the location cause everything we needed was accessible..i would still want to stay their the next time we go back to oregon cause their rate was just right..Genuine Hotels.com guest review
It was very basic, but for our needs, it was fine. Bed very comfortable.Genuine Expedia guest review
Motel did not have a non-smoking room avaailable; they stated that I checked that I was a smoker even though I have never smoked in 60 years. When they offered one they said I would have to move rooms the next day even though I did not expect to be back to the romm to about 6 pm.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

The front desk was helpful, it is right on 10th street, and within walking distance of the MAX. Perfect place if you need a cheap spot to sleep and shower.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Stayed 1 night for interview at Pacific University. Very close to the school and various food places. Heater worked well and bed was nice and comfy. Not terribly over priced, very happy with my stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Not far from Intel, comfortable, clean, simple continental breakfast, friendly staff, and inexpensive. I would stay here again.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Would'nt stay her."
Run down area. Floor, and walls very dirty. Holes from burn marks in bedspread. Woke up and got up because of loud t.v. next door. Would not suggest staying here.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
An old rather tawdry double level motel in a kind of sketchy community (Hillsboro). That said, Econo Lodge did a good job, as always, ensuring the room was clean and dependable.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Average, quick and easy."

My experience is good. I will recommend this inn. The room is clean, and the service is good. It is quite spacious, wifi is very convenient. Just some notice of car parking at night.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

I found the facilities extremely clean, the service excellent, and the staff very helpful. I am especially grateful to the young lady who answered the phone (approximately 7PM Oct 2) and patiently helped me find my way to the hotel when I was completely lost.
"Average Hotel, Excellent Staff"
09/01/14 MrBill425 Seattle, WA
My wife and I took a road trip this past weekend and decided to wing it. We were in Portland at the time and heading over to Cannon Beach but wanted to stay somewhere on the way. I looked on the choice privileges website and found the Econolodge in Hillsboro. We made the reservations online when we were in Portland and headed up. When we got there we learned that there was an error in booking and they had us listed as a smoking room. The staff found us a non-smoking room, which was more expensive, but they charged us the rate we were quoted initially. The room was nothing special, but we just needed a place to sleep. Pros: Excellent Staff, Convenient Location, Price, Air Conditioning Cons: A bit worn down, Bed wasn't the most comfortable, Air Conditioner was noisy

Well, this place is not the best, but not the worst. If vanilla were the only flavor, this hotel would be right in the middle, nothing special. Continental breakfast white toast and plain bagels with a wrapped Danish for flavor. Room clean and minimally furnished. Shower water pressure below average. They're not drought friendly with hot water taking a while to make it to the shower head. You then have to tend to the shower valve because it gets hotter as you shower. Bath towels thin and minimally absorbent. No hair dryer or ironing board in room. Refrigerator is temperamental, but it is a refrigerator. Microwave adequate. WiFi free and adequate too. Not enough electrical outlets for modern devices. Had to charge devices at bathroom sink. Bed below average for a good night sleep. Bed linens clean, but pillows small. A/C fine, but runs all night, no thermostat to shut off. Facility weathered inside and out and needs renovation. Washer and dryer a plus. When checking in, you have to pay for entire stay. Truly lives up to the Econo in the name.

I am writing this before even sleeping but I had to report prior to even my trying to sleep that this motel is quite noisy and my room has a musty smell to it and carpets not clean as I walked barefoot into bathroom and I made dirty marks on the floor...? I have clean feet in general. And this must be the musty smell then! I asked for a quiet room and got other guests banging around and going in and out of their room lots and 12:49 am currently. I have now called front desk twice about this and am now irritated. This motel is not fully booked either. Should not be difficult and a hassle to just get some peace and quiet. I also asked for that in advance. I did also book for tomorrow night and paid in advance but hoping to get out of here and move onto somewhere else way less noisy and dirty!
"Just fine for overnight"

This isn't the fanciest part of town, but the hotel is clean, the people are very nice, the place is full, and it's surrounded by eating places you can walk to. The Internet works well, we asked for and were given a ground floor room and the tv is dandy. That being said, it IS on fairly active street, and we can hear airplanes.........I don't go anywhere without earplugs, so they won't bother me at all!

"Not what we expected"
03/14/14 Parrish R Santa Rosa, California
The hotel is way out on the outskirts of town a long ways away from many of the local attractions of Hillsboro let alone Portland. The service was not bad, just not friendly, the hotel and surrounds were shabby and the room was regrettably cheap. Surprisingly, the beds were not bad and we did pass an OK night. There was a small micro and fridge in the unit that we put to good use. Not recommended unless the location is ideal for your stay!
"Twice in Dec."
12/27/13 vardis3 Seattle, Washington
i stayed here twice in Dec 2013, the 1st time was ok , the room was ok ,bed was fine, linens smelled of bleach which is fine with me- it means they are clean - fridge-micro-tv all worked overall it was fine --- 1 week later same room -it now stank like an old ashtray- - - i had to put my clothes in a plastic bag to keep them from stinking the next morning !!!!! and being Dec. its cold out and my jacket was too big for the bag, the next morning it stank like cigarette smoke - it needed to be washed as soon as i got home . i also had to pull the covers over my head to sleep because of the smell good thing for the bleach smell ,,, its the only thing that allowed me to sleep that night i can only blame it on the last guest in the room-and also - the staff - for not noticing the heavy cigarette odor and doing something about it i dont think i,ll be going back to this place again - they need to put an ozone generator in that room to kill the stench - otherwise i,ll have a hard time going back there again
"Overprices for the value!"
10/21/13 Sapna S Jena, Germany
This was the only option for overnight stay since we couldn't find any other place at such a short notice. The room was very basic and not exactly clean. The bed lenin smelled old. The refrigerator didn't work either. The motel staff weren't exactly the warm, friendly kind. Breakfast included basic bread, coffee and juice dispensers at the reception area. I found the place not value-for-money (about 70$ a night). Avoid!
"Great "Budget" Option in Hillsboro"
07/07/13 webcam13 Seattle
Great budget hotel that served as our base camp for a 4-day adventure that included: biking wine country; Portland Blues festival; biking the Banks to Vernonia trail; and cohorting with our pals staying in Forest Grove. Pros: Comfortable mattress: recently remodeled bath; 8 minute brisk walk to TriMet train to Portland; clean; very friendly/helpful staff; microwave and fridge in room; considerate non-partying neighbors; newer flat screen TV and overall, an "excellent" value! Cons: Noisy location on busy traffic street (light- sleeper did well with ear plugs and running the A/C); thin towels/linens and thin-walls-low-quality-construction of the structure. Highly recommend for the budget traveler.
