It was very basic, but for our needs, it was fine. Bed very comfortable.Genuine Expedia guest review
Motel did not have a non-smoking room avaailable; they stated that I checked that I was a smoker even though I have never smoked in 60 years. When they offered one they said I would have to move rooms the next day even though I did not expect to be back to the romm to about 6 pm.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

The front desk was helpful, it is right on 10th street, and within walking distance of the MAX. Perfect place if you need a cheap spot to sleep and shower.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"great place to stay"
Stayed 1 night for interview at Pacific University. Very close to the school and various food places. Heater worked well and bed was nice and comfy. Not terribly over priced, very happy with my stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Econolodge & Suits in Hillsboro"
it was cheap. room was a bit noisy from some ticking sound that i think the fridge made. the continental breakfast had a bug in my juice. a huge spider was also in my room the last night. other than that, i guess i got what i paid for.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I felt that the area was a bit shady and the noise from other rooms was loud and went on all nightGenuine Hotels.com guest review
I chose this hotel because it was the least expensive that I found online. I found it clean and comfortable and appreciated the mini fridge and microwave in the room. There was no coffee pot in the room. You have to go across the parking lot to the small lobby for your morning coffee. The continental breakfast consisted of bagels with a toaster and […] packets of cream cheese, jam, and butter; prepackaged muffins, a dispenser with apple juice and orange juice; coffee, and hot water for tea. There is a McDonald's right next door, as well as an Indian restaurant and a Carl's Jr across the street. I was satisfied. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great Stay for the Price!"
Our family stayed overnight on our way to Oregon. We were pleasantly surprised at how clean and modern the room was. The beds were comfortable. The diner attached to the hotel lobby was a WINNER! For a local family from Hawai'i, we were happy at the diverse menu offered which included such favorites as "Loco Moco" and Fried Eggs with Spam...Yay!!! And […] the best thing is that it is open 24 hours a day! The restaurant staff were friendly and service was fast! We checked in rather late in the evening but the front office staff was very friendly and accomodating when we had special requests during check-in. A great location, easy to find, nice for an overnight stay even when traveling with a family! This was the best accomodations we had during our entire 10 day vacation! "Very economical Portland area hotel"
This hotel offered everything we needed for a three night stay all for a very affordable rate. The location was perfect for our visit to family in Hillsboro, OR. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would stay here again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice hotel in the middle of town"
This hotel was conveniently located around places to eat and get supplies. Very quiet and the staff was very helpful.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The Econo-Lodge is a budget option that was comfortable, clean, friendly and convenient. It was quiet and the AC worked great. The bed was pretty hard, but we would stay here again if we needed to be in the area.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Not what we expected"
03/14/14 Parrish R Santa Rosa, California
The hotel is way out on the outskirts of town a long ways away from many of the local attractions of Hillsboro let alone Portland. The service was not bad, just not friendly, the hotel and surrounds were shabby and the room was regrettably cheap. Surprisingly, the beds were not bad and we did pass an OK night. There was a small micro and fridge in the unit that we put to good use. Not recommended unless the location is ideal for your stay!
"Twice in Dec."
12/27/13 vardis3 Seattle, Washington
i stayed here twice in Dec 2013, the 1st time was ok , the room was ok ,bed was fine, linens smelled of bleach which is fine with me- it means they are clean - fridge-micro-tv all worked overall it was fine --- 1 week later same room -it now stank like an old ashtray- - - i had to put my clothes in a plastic bag to keep them from stinking the next morning !!!!! and being Dec. its cold out and my jacket was too big for the bag, the next morning it stank like cigarette smoke - it needed to be washed as soon as i got home . i also had to pull the covers over my head to sleep because of the smell good thing for the bleach smell ,,, its the only thing that allowed me to sleep that night i can only blame it on the last guest in the room-and also - the staff - for not noticing the heavy cigarette odor and doing something about it i dont think i,ll be going back to this place again - they need to put an ozone generator in that room to kill the stench - otherwise i,ll have a hard time going back there again
"Overprices for the value!"
10/21/13 Sapna S Jena, Germany
This was the only option for overnight stay since we couldn't find any other place at such a short notice. The room was very basic and not exactly clean. The bed lenin smelled old. The refrigerator didn't work either. The motel staff weren't exactly the warm, friendly kind. Breakfast included basic bread, coffee and juice dispensers at the reception area. I found the place not value-for-money (about 70$ a night). Avoid!
"Great "Budget" Option in Hillsboro"
07/07/13 webcam13 Seattle
Great budget hotel that served as our base camp for a 4-day adventure that included: biking wine country; Portland Blues festival; biking the Banks to Vernonia trail; and cohorting with our pals staying in Forest Grove. Pros: Comfortable mattress: recently remodeled bath; 8 minute brisk walk to TriMet train to Portland; clean; very friendly/helpful staff; microwave and fridge in room; considerate non-partying neighbors; newer flat screen TV and overall, an "excellent" value! Cons: Noisy location on busy traffic street (light- sleeper did well with ear plugs and running the A/C); thin towels/linens and thin-walls-low-quality-construction of the structure. Highly recommend for the budget traveler.
"Okay Overnight Stay"
07/05/13 gogirlgo15 Portland, Oregon
Stayed here because of an early morning Doctor appointment and didn't want to fight cross town traffic. This is a motel and has the typical layout the room appeared clean. The beds were comfortable but the room did not have many outlets for using a laptop or charging phones. There is a CRT TV, a microwave and a small refrigerator in the room but no coffee maker or coffee. I'm sure this is a great cost saving measure but I would prefer if this was mentioned in the property description. The continental breakfast had an offering of 5 or 6 bagels, orange juice and coffee and was not worth walking across the parking lot for. If I need to return to Hillsboro, I would arrange a different appointment time or stay somewhere else
"Very affordable prices and worth for it."
I would say this is budget place to stay. It really more than what we expected. The room is spacious and the bed very comfortable. Provided with big screen TV, unlimited wifi access, safe box, refrigerator. They do have basic breakfast.I think that is really worth for the prices. The only thing I like the least is the light in the room is dim and the noise coming from outside and footsteps from upper level . It is quite far from the Trimet train but still accessible with walking distance. There is an indian restaurant named Maharaja in front of the lodge, please do try for it. They serve very authentic and delicious meals. McDonald, Carls' Jr and few restaurants are nearby.
"Inexpensive, nice room but noisy!"
04/01/13 Wile-E-One Charlottesville, Virginia
Stayed here because we were looking for an inexpensive alternative. Rooms were clean, didn't smell and the bed was in good condition. Minimal breakfast (coffee, orange juice, pastry - no fruit or cereal) but friendly staff. Major complaint was the noise! We could hear people talking outside as loud with the door closed and when it was open. Looking at the edges of the door, the 1/4" gap around the entire door appeared to be the major reason - c'mon folks, invest in a little weather stripping! Consequently, our satisfaction with the room's condition and value got taken down a big notch by the poor sleep quality due to noise.
"Great 1 night stay while on business"
02/18/13 J_S_2011_S_J Meadville, Pennsylvania
I was pleasantly surprised by this Econo Lodge. I travel a lot for business and often stay in Econo Lodges as they are typically cheap and relatively decent. Most of the time they are just average but this one exceeded my typical expectations of Econo Lodge. The gentleman who checked me in was very friendly and got me checked in quickly. The room was clean, there was no typical hotel smell, the air unit in my room was pretty new, the bathroom was very clean (this is something I am especially picky about), the bed was comfortable, the t.v. was a newer flat screen with good picture, and the internet was especially easy to connect to and very speedy (which was a pleasant surprise). The only negative is, as another reviewer mentioned, the floors are hollow, so if you happen to have someone in the room above you it would probably be noisy below. Overall, this is a well priced hotel that is pleasant to stay in and I would absolutely stay again if I happen to find myself near Hillsboro, OR.
"Good value place to stay"

We were passing through on route to the Oregon Coastal Highway, so visited friends in Hillsboro for a couple of days. The Econo Lodge was well located and had everything we needed. We paid a little extra for a corner room and had no problems with noise. The Wi-Fi connection was strong and fast.
