"Close to transportation, dining&entertainment"
There was plumbing issues the sink was stopped up a bit and the condition of the towels wasn't that good. Time for new towels.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Comfortable and nice area"
Friendly and helpful staff Many people checking in around 3 and in the evening. Slow elevators Good room, with a view AC makes a lot of noise, so it got hot. Good bathroomGenuine Expedia guest review
"Not horrible for the price"
Meh. The rooms were clean, the beds didn't have any springs sticking out of them or bugs. Lobby was clean and small. Check-in was a bit painful as there were a number of people trying to get checked in and only one person behind the counter. All the staff were pleasant enough, but English seemed to be a secondary language. At times they were difficult […] to understand. The lobby was clean and tile, but small and cramped. That line actually sums up all aspects of the hotel, clean but small and cramped. The lobby, the rooms, the elevators, the hotel itself. The hotel didn't have it's own parking garage but had a relationship with a Hertz garage on the next block over. The Hertz garage was very small also and the guy looked concerned when I pulled up in a 4runner and commented "big truck". I was nervous leaving it there but everything turned out ok. In the end, the hotel served it's purpose and was adequate. Would I stay there again? Probably not. While I can't confirm this, I have a strong suspicion that for $20 more a night I would have been in a much nicer environment. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Elevator seemed as though it would stop working at any time. Room was not very clean. Furniture looked like discounted Goodwill items. toilet handle was broken of all things.Genuine Expedia guest review
It was good enough for business purposes. It would be much better if they revamp social areas and concourse.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"I Hate Rodents"
This was our third stay in this hotel and having a rodent nibble at the granola bars overnight while we are in the room is gross and unsanitary also very off putting. We informed the staff and they stated that they would address the problem. Wither they did or not I don't know because there was no follow up. The parking in NYC is terrible and the staff […] sent us to parking garage around the street which was closed we got in at midnight it closed at 11:00 p.m. . If the staff is going to recommend somewhere then they should know the time it closes better yet the hotel should have it's own parking. So we parked on the street and ended up parking in the wrong area overnight and ended up with a $65 parking ticket. I doubt we will be staying in the Days Broadway again Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location, OK hotel"
We enjoyed our stay. The hotel is older but is sufficient for us. The staff was courteous. The location was very convenient - close to Central Park and practically on top of the metro. The internet worked great. No complaints.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Days Hotel Broadway"
I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. Very clean. Very friendly staff. Rooms were average size but perfect for two adults and two teens. Subway very convenient a block away. Parking was not at the hotel but a block away which was somewhat inconvenient but it worked. Would definitely stay there again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel was right off the 1/2/3 lines as well as a few blocks from the A/C and B/D lines. I'd be happy to stay there again anytime!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great Value Great Neighborhood"
The location was in a great part of New York. We road public transportation all over the city. We walked to restaurants, coffee shops and package good stores. It was not a four strar hotell. The carpet in our room had seen better days. We wore flip flops whenever we were in the room. The staff was helpful when they could be found. Maybe they were b […] usy. "Great location, iffy amenities"
The location is amazing. The subway is incredibly convenient, you're only a moderate walk away from Central Park, and the area is residential enough to be rather quiet (even on weekend nights with the windows open!), but you've got a lot of good neighborhood restaurants nearby. The room isn't spacious by typical standards, but it's roomy for this price […] point on Manhattan. The downside for us was that the WiFi kept going in and out while we were there, which kept us from being able to work. (An initial outage on Saturday wasn't addressed until Monday, and the signal kept disappearing until Wednesday.) Even when the service was up, the signal was slow enough to be a real hindrance after 5pm. Bottom line: great place if you're not reliant on the internet for anything time-sensitive! "Great location on Broadway"
Impressive staff-I left my I-pad in my room when I checked out on Sat. morning. I returned on Mon. and it was behind the desk, waiting for me.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Ok for one night"
It good for one nite place rest the elevator out orden and look people living there more one nite to many people in one placeGenuine Expedia guest review
"Terrible conditions, smell and abcense of internet"
Terrible hotel. No wifi in rooms, smells very very bad. They promised me 4 separate rooms, but instead i receive two "doubles" which were smaller than the previous hotel's singles! Smells very bad!Genuine Expedia guest review
Only drawback is the poor elevator service slowGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Hotel? Rooms were very small and had an old and depressing feel. Would not come back.Genuine Expedia guest review
The front desk was nice and very helpful. Nice area of town. I would stay again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
liked the location of the hotel, close to the subway and central park. we were there on a vacation.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Pay for what you get."
Room was not bad, just ok. Nothing special. As long as the sheets are clean I'm good, and they were. Pay for what you get.Genuine Expedia guest review
The only thing this hotel has going for it is the location and price. It is not clean or well maintained. The staff were OK, but not extra friendly. One of the elevators got stuck with the doors open, so we had to use the other one. Hallway was narrow and the elevators and rooms are tiny. The location is great - about halfway between Times Square and […] Columbia University. I would not stay here again. I would pay more and get a decent room. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nothing to complain about, except..."
Luckily, I have stayed here several times before, so I didn't get bummed out by the fact that the internet wasn't working AND I couldn't even use my cell phone in the room (room 221). The front desk person said that he'd be happy to change rooms for me except they were entirely booked, and I was only staying that one night. I still think that, for the […] price, this is one of the best deals around, especially if you don't need/want to be in the thick of the tourist areas and don't care about an upscale neighborhood. It is easy to get absolutely everywhere from this location, and if all you need is a place to sleep, this is a fine choice, especially when the internet is working. "THE WORST HOTEL I'VE EVER STAYED IN"
We first got to the hotel to wait almost 3 or 4 minutes for the elevator. When we finally get on, staff gets on also and pushes the B to go to the basement where two more employees got in. We start going up only to stop in the lobby again where another employee got on. We were going to the 8th floor while the employees went to 2, 5, 6, and 7th. The […] employees in this hotel act more like rude guests than employees. Next the room was old looking, the carpet had bad burns on it, the toilet wouldn't stop leaking, and the smoke detector kept chirping at the wrong times. They claim to have wireless, but it does not work unless you are in the lobby, and when you get there, everyone else is there also trying to access it. I was told we would not have a problem with a cot, but when I called was told we could not have one due to the size of the room, it would be a "fire hazard". When I went down to the lobby to speak with them about it, they said it would be no problem. But they charged me $25 per day (4 days) for it. All in all, this will be the last time I ever stay here again. THE WORST HOTEL I'VE EVER STAYED IN for the price I had to pay Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Clean hotel, friendly staff in a great location."
We really liked this hotel. It was clean, comfortable, and in a nice quiet location on the upper west side of NYC. It is close to a subway station and also close to Central Park.Genuine Expedia guest review
No one was at the front desk when I went to check in had to wait for someone for a bit, other then that not bad it was a neat room.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Wet plain carpet"
The plain carpet was wet under the air con. Wall paper was falling in different places of the room. The curtains did not close properly. Very small bathroom. Terrible smell in the corridor. Old slow lift. Apart from that, OK. Nice people.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We were staying one night, in order to visit Columbia University. Was perfect for the price, no frills but a comfortable, safe place to stay. Located 1 block from the 1 train subway station so we could easily get to Columbia in the morning.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Excellent location, calm neighborhood. Clean. Good price. New furniture. Excellent service. The only problem were the elevators. Some of then were out of work, and I have to wait almost 15 minutes in the lobby. If they could fix it, the hotel was perfect!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"No one to help"
Blow dryer did not work. Went to front desk with wet hair and was told someone would come to room and no one ever cameGenuine Expedia guest review
"Close to subway, major make over needed"
I chose this hotel because it was close to the subway and it was the closest I could get to my daughter's apt in Washington heights. I was there to move her in. Anyway, it was terribly hot this week. Hotel lobby was cool, hallways upstairs were barely air conditioned. Room air conditioner was very good and not overly noisy. That, and the room appeared […] clean. However, the carpeting in the room and hallways were very stained, walls everywhere needed a paint job and the whole place looked like a dump. Thankfully I remembered to bring flip flops as I did not want my feet to touch the carpeting. Not that I was in the room except late in the evening, but the TV channels were very limited. Decent cafe across the street for breakfast. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Enjoyed my stay. Things went according to plan.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Close to subway. Far from all attractions. Small rooms. Very small elevators...very slow elevators. spend the extra money and get the same room closer to attractions or you will spend a fortune on subway and taxis.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
This was more than beyond expectations. I wasn't sure since the rate was so low compared to other hotels. I would stay here again and not hesitate to recommend. Nice to know there is a hotel in NYC that is clean, comfortable and acts like a 4 star with a 2 star price tag!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Decent for what we needed it for..."
The hotel was appropriate for the 2 days that we were there. Only needed the room to sleep at night so I would consider staying there again. Very convenient to the subway, just a couple blocks from Central Park, and plenty of stores and restaurants near by.. hotel staff was very nice and helpful. My only complaint really was the small, slow elevators […] and musty smoke smell in the hallways. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice employees, not good condition of hotel"
You had to run the water for at least 10 minutes to get it hot, if not you were taking a cold shower. Out of the 4 elevators only 1-3 were working during my stay. You could wait as long as 20 minutes for an elevator, one person was stuck in the elevator for a while. If you chose to do stairs instead you needed to be very careful as the carpet was pulled […] up and it was a tripping hazard. Found a large live roach in the room. Bed covers had stains. Other than the roach and the stains on the bed covers the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Yes it is inexpensive, however I will not stay there again. I will pay the extra $100-$200 needed to feel comfortable during my stay. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"great value for the price"
Overall our stay was very good. There were 2 things that were bothersome : only 1 of the 4 elevators was working ,which when you are on the 12th floor can be problematic. The garage the hotel contracts with was full, leaving us to find another garage. That was OK except there was no validation for the other garage, leaving us to pay full price for parking. […] The hotel staff was very nice and our room was comfortable. It looked like this room had just been done over. The bath room in particular was a good size and very clean. Amenities included a hair dryer, iron and ironing board and extra personal essentials like mouth wash and tooth brush which you don't usually see in a budget hotel. There was also a refrigerator in the room which was a nice touch. I would definitely recommend this hotel. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Excellent place to stay."
The hotel is within three minutes of the New York subway that can take you anywhere. Within two minute's walk is the Manhattan Diner that is inexpensive and has excellent food. Excellent stay in New York. Great staff. Good rates.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice hotel, beautiful area."
The location is excellent. Away from the chaos of midtown but yet close enough as the subway is a block away. The hotel staff was very kind. The rooms nice and clean. The only thing missing for those of us who like to sleep late is a black out curtain.Genuine Expedia guest review
The room was very convenient, one block from subway. The room did have a number of maintenance items that I needed to tell the front desk about. For NYC it is anticipated that the building is old, the issues that needed attention were small, but numerous. Just a little better maintenance and the room would have been great especially for the price we […] paid using hotels.com. We would and likely will stay there again. "they are trying"
2 nights in 519 and one night in 1117, a newer floor. The hotel is old, but the newer floors are nice and rooms very roomy. I don't think a hotel interior designer was used. In the very roomy suite, no phone in bedroom, but one in the other room with a couch/pull out queen bed, and also in the bathroom. The only mirror was in the bathroom. The front […] desk was helpfull, courteous, and friendly. My thanks to Miriam. Great neighborhood for food, grocery, subway etc. If you go and expect a modern, marble/glass lobby, atrium lobby and elevator, go ahead and pay for it, but this property should suffice for seeing New York. I had no problem in either room with water, heat, a/c etc. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

I wish the rooms had a small refrigerator. The elevators were very slow and there wasn't much water pressure or hot water bwhen showering.I will definitely stay there again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel was in a good area with lots of amenities nearby. The hotel itself was pretty basic. The service was OK, not too helpful. There was a meeting going on and the hotel was a bit too small to handle that amount of people in the lobby.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Hit Or Miss"
Days hotel has a variety of rooms. I have stayed in very trendy refurbished room. However this time I was in an old dingy room. The bathroom appeared new but was so poorly designed I was not able to stand in front of the bathroom sink to wash up. Had to stand to the side.Genuine Expedia guest review
