"Location is fantastic"
This hotel is a little difficult to drive to, and a bit confusing in the fact that there is a Holiday Inn right down the alley. We had two rooms in our party - one king suite and one double queen room. Both were adequate and comfortable. The heater in our room made very strange noises in the middle of the night, so we had to turn it off. The supply […] water line to the sink in the queen room had a major leak that required some 'McGyver-ing' in the middle of the night. The carpet in the king room wasn't very clean, but what hotel does have clean carpet? Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
The hotel was clean. The rooms are small. The shower curtain kept going in the toilet. We stayed on the 5th floor and they put kids above us jumping and running. Was so loud for hours. We ended up calling security. He stopped it for about 15 minutes. We plan to not stay there again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Hot breakfast, indoor pool, comfy beds & pillows"
Close to Space Needle, Chihuly Glass Garden and Museum, so much more. Decent, hot buffet breakfast with eggs, bacon, sausage, waffles, hot or cold cereals and a wide variety of sweet rolls and bagels. Really liked that on the bed the pillow cases were embroidered with "Soft" or "Firm" which was a nice, unexpected detail. Advertised at a special rate […] of $119 per night which I felt was a good deal since I wanted to be in this area but upon booking here turned out to have a $34 fee added on turned this into a $150+ stay, which I was NOT happy about, not such a great deal. I expected a hotel tax but a $34 booking fee??? Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Room was clean, they charge a $10 parking fee but it may be worth it because they hire security to watch the parking lots. It's down town and they warn not to leave valuables in the car.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Previous reviews were spot on"
The hotel was clean, employees friendly and helpful. My son and I stayed an unexpected second night, and rebooked through Hotels.com. per suggestion of the front desk clerk. Our rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. The second night our room was on the top floor, and it seemed the hot water had a more difficult time getting to the shower :) The […] Rapid Check-Out was slipped under the door each following morning, and our the only expected "incidental" was for parking. I am still sorting this out with my credit card company, as the bill enclosed lists both a charge AND a credit for the same amount, resulting in a 0.00 balance, which I have read as "free parking." I am guessing this is probably not the case, and it's just an additional fee, but I believe this should read "your credit card was charged" instead. Nonetheless, secure parking is a great value, and convenience, so if I am incorrect, will drop the challenge. We did not have continental breakfast, instead opting for local restaurants. The in-room coffee was not what you would expect in Seattle, the city of great coffee. There should be a better product offered for that eye opener. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Response by Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Seattle - City Center Dear Traveler, Thank you for you review, I am sorry the coffee was not to your liking but as you said this is the city of great coffee and sometimes we have to toe the line of corporate. "Great Price - Great Hotel - Great City!"
It was our first time in Seattle and this hotel was just what we were looking for. Within walking distance of downtown, the Space Needle and the monorail. The breakfast was great, the beds were very comfortable and the staff was (for the most part) very helpful. When we first arrived, we were placed in a smoking room, despite my request for non-smoking. […] The girl who checked us in told me that there was nothing that could be done as the hotel was all sold out. After a few hours in the room, we went back downstairs to see if anything could be done - the room smelled horrible. A different girl looked into it and was able to switch us to a non-smoking room. I wish I knew her name because she was extremely friendly and helpful. After that, our stay was perfect! We would definitely stay again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great Place to stay in the middle of it all"
The hotel was very nice and clean, our room had a big stain on the floor but other than that the room was great, staff was pleasant as well. Only problem I had was that I needed change for the soda machine but was told they didn't do that, that I would need to purchase something from their "store" so I bought some soda that would have only cost me a […] dollar from the machine but ended up paying $1.25 for each of my sodas. Other then that all was good I will stay here again on my next trip. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Front desk extremely helpful"
The room was clean upon arrival, but the day to day cleaning of our room left a lot to be desired over the three nights we stayed. There were some concerns about room break ins. I met a woman by the elevator that was waiting for the police to make a report. Her room had been broken into and her luggage destroyed. She informed us someone else had their […] laptop stolen from their room that as well. We packed up and took all of our belonging each day when we went out. The location is convenient, we have stayed here before without any issues. They have nice breakfast. The front desk is extremely helpful. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"You get what you pay for"
As far as value for money goes, I would say that is exactly what I go at this hotel. Its in the shadow of he Space Needle and Science Center; which is a must visit, even if you are in the city for one day.The staff were polite, and helpful, although I did not appreciate housekeeping knocking on my door, "early " - I am a late sleeper, so i do not get […] a move in until after 10:00.. The Marketplace on the bottom of Pike street is about 20 minutes away, walking, there are two bus stops near the hotel and the monorail station is about five to ten minutes walking distance. The hotel does not have, half day fees, but will check you out as late as three p.m. and keep you luggage in storage for guests who have a late night flight. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Its a decent hotel. Though I think the amount they charge is more compared to the facilities. Breakfast was not that great .I ate almost the same breakfast everyday. I would prefer hyatt place very close to this hotel above this one anyday.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Hotel close to major attractions."
We looked for a hotel at a reasonable rate that was close to attractions and the city that had car parking at reasonable cost ($10) and offered a good standard along with a breakfast. This Holiday Inn offered all these things from the web site and delivered just that. The staff were helpful and offered advice on what to do and see. While our room did […] not have a view and being on the second floor it just looked across the drive at an other building it did not disturb us as we were out doing things during the day. "Seattle: a "must visit" city."
Comfortable. Nice little restaurant with great tasting food in part of the complex. About 3-4 blocks from the Space needle and museum complex. We did walk back from the market place. "Great Service and Clean"
We were very happy with our room and our service. Nothing really fancy but very satisfactory for the money. The only down side was the location. It shows as being only 2 blocks from the Seattle Center when you look at the map but with Aurora in between you have to walk around so it is actually about 6 blocks. The staff acted like they were doing us a favor just checking us in. When we checked in we had reserved a room with two beds, and they said they had over book the two bed rooms and all they had left were one queen bed rooms. When I said that we would probably go somewhere else they said we could, but they would still charge us $200.00 for cancelling […] the reservation, so we had to take the one bed room and there was no discount. We had reservations for three days, and the second day housekeeping did not show up to even bring us fresh towels until after 6:30 and wanted to know if they could come back and clean in an hour. The area the hotel is in is not good. When we checked in they asked did we want to find are own parking on the street, somewhere, or park in their garage for the cost of $10.00 per night which they don't list on their web site. "Convenient location in downtown Seattle"
I had mistakenly reserved a smoking room. I was unable to change it, but the hotel staff was very accommodating to provide an air purifier in the room each day. The location is great for access to the Space Needle and downtown shopping. Parking was convenient and relatively inexpensive compared to other downtown hotels. My only negative comment is regarding […] the business center. It's a small room with two PCs which are not maintained. Response by Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Seattle - City Center Thank you so much for staying with us! "The best location for all you hope to see."
Seattle was wonderful; the hotel was great, close to everything with trolleys, shuttles, monorail, availability to taxi's.....or you could walk....it's a walking city. My only thing I think the hotel should monitor more closely is timing of having your room cleaned. We were there four nights and would leave the room sometimes around 9:00 or 10:00 or […] at the latest... noon. Most of the time we would come back around 3:00....the room was not serviced I talked with the front desk personnel; they said they couldn't say what time it would be cleaned....buy at least by 4. When we leave early and request the room cleaned as soon as possible (even after tipping the maid) I would have thought they could have made a better effort. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Response by Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Seattle - City Center Thank you for staying with us and for offering your candid feedback. We are currently undergoing property upgrades, and we began with the upper three floors of the hotel in March. By the end of the year, the hotel should be completed. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee assignments to the upgraded rooms due to our occupancy during peak season. But please come visit us again in the future when our renovation is done! I look forward to hosting you again.
