This Holiday Inn Express was a good hotel an I would stay there again only if I got a lower price. Not worth the $150 a night I paid. More like $120 (at BEST). And for $150 at a holiday inn I expect free breakfast. Not the case here. So keep that in mind. Also, the hotel is right across from some shady looking apartments and they therefore have to keep […] your cars in a gated parking lot (which is nice but also makes you feel a tad unsafe). No problems accept my door key would not open any of the exterior doors and I had to return to my car and repark. We had four rooms and nobody's key would open an exterior door. Hallways and lobby sort of smelled bad. Room felt "cheap." Phone only worked when the lamp dimmed and made odd electrical flash. Beds were clean, a/c unit was not central and made a lot of noise and seemed to not cool entire room very well. Loved staying at this hotel!!! The room was very clean and comfy. We loved the convience of having a good sized refrigerater. The bathroom was a very good size, didn't feel crowded. We loved the assortment of different pillows for comfort. The only downfall was that one of the elevators was out of service and it so happened to be the one closest to […] our room. I was happy with hotel staff, except one man seemed to think that because my friend 'looked different' that she wasn't a guest at the hotel. Judge much? The room was ok but felt the furniture was a little old for the type of room we had which was an executive room. The service was great staff very friendly. I'd rather stayed at the Salvation Army. High crime neighborhood, way overpriced for the condition and location of this crack hotel. Shady employees. Loud party with rap music blaring in the banquet room Saturday night. Never again. Could have paid a few dollars extra for something in the Galleria.

For the most part it was ok; the hotel service was good and the staff was very friendly. However, my two biggest complaints are that the refrigerator in the room was turned off... so it didn't even start working properly until the last part of the second day and we checked out the next morning ... so the refrigerator did us no good. Also ... the BIGGEST […] reason why we booked this hotel is that it had an INDOOR swimming pool, meaning that we should have been able to swim but the pool was DARK GREEN and the pool area smelled really bad. over all I would say that my stay was ok but I asked for a king w/ a sofa bed and only got a king. Also the main reason we picked this hotel was for the indoor pool and Jacuzzi and we couldn't even swim because the pool and jacuzzi were Green and the pool area smelled rotten. The only good thing is that the staff was very nice.

They no longer offer a free breakfast, they want to charge for the old breakfast that WAS FREE. No thank you. Also do not offer a "gift bag" for loyalty customers. When we asked for extra towels we were given towels a bit larger than hand towels. Won't work to shower. :(

This place was acceptable but not worth it. Here's a few of the problems. None of them, on their own, are a big deal, but they added up to an unpleasant stay. 1. We booked a room with a king sized bed. We received one with a queen. 2. We picked this hotel over several others because it had an indoor pool. The pool was not in service but nowhere during […] our reservation process did they tell us. 3. The A/C did not work properly. The only way the room would cool down was to whack it all the way up to "as cold as possible". Setting the cold level to 9 out of 10 only turned on the fan. This would not have been a problem in normal circumstances but we arrived very late and did not want to wake up to a freezing cold room, we assumed it would work if set to 6 or 7 as we went to sleep. 4. My wife was unfortunate to grab the low fat milk at breakfast. It had expired. 4 days earlier. When I pointed this out to the staff they were quick to remove all the other expired milk but I don't understand how 4-day expired milk could have been offered. Again, all four of these problems are not a huge deal normally but they were all a problem for my 6-month pregnant wife. Not good. On a side note, Google maps gives the wrong location of the hotel. It's close but we had to call to find out exactly where they were as we couldn't see it. This isn't the hotel's fault but perhaps they can contact Google to fix it. The great place to stay at while celebrating Thanksgiving 700 miles from home. Arrived late in the evening and was greeted by two very compitent desk clerks. They were very professional and even offered coffee and cookies " sorry that there wasn't any milk" . The room and accomodations were five star with easy secure parking and egress to the room. […] The next day there was a breakfast buffet with eggs, bacon, hash browns, toast, bagles, cereal, juices and many other things to satisfy the morning craveings. Came back that evening and again greeted via the front desk. Stayed a total of three days and was greeted and helped by the cook and staff every time I was visible to them. The desk clerk Dora even made me maps to get around for local stops I had plus helping one of the guest we met at breakfast. They needed to get back to I 55 via I 10. We will stay there again when we visit our son and his family again. Read more

Went to Houston for a class. Location was right by my classroom. Room was clean all week. Breakfast was hot and staff friendly. They had high speed internet in the room which was nice. No complaints at all. I would defintely stay there again.

What is wrong is that if too many people hear of this place, it will be harder to get a room in the future. :-)...........Seriously, it is a fine hotel for the price. Location is great if you are looking at Willowbrook and 1960 area. It's close to where we want to be when we go to Houston.

the hotel staff were very nice. the breakfast was surprisingly good, real eggs! and cooked to order!! the room was ok, clean, the only thing i didn't like was the ac unit, it was under the window, noisy and blew into the drapes. the location was a little unusual, but once you found the correct entrance road it was fine.
