The Langham, Hong Kong

Wonderful hotel close to ferry's and all sights. We stayed for 2 nights before our amazing cruise. Could not have picked a more perfect hotel. We upgraded to the Club level and this was well worth the extra money. Food, drink and service was the best we have ever had in a hotel. Walking distance to port where we boarded our ship. The hotel was very nice and all the staff were wonderful but, I was traveling with two elderly ladies and we were placed on the top floor. The elevator did not go to the top floor so we had to take the stairs. We asked to change this but they couldn't change our rooms. We were slightly shocked when we first arrived as this was not the hotel we thought it was as we have been to Honk Kong many times before. However we were there and it was only 1 night. On arrival we were swiftly shown to our Suite, which looked rather tired and in need of refurbishment. But anyway, we settled in and went to the Club lounge which was […] excellent – good hospitality, friendly and helpful staff, nice breakfast, and as it turned out great cocktails and evening food – none of this nonsense about removing the food within 15 seconds of the end of the time table – all very relaxed with people enjoying themselves and drinks served till 11pm when they came round and checked if we would like more! That evening we were called by the Concierge to request if we needed help with dinner reservations and car back to the airport and they arranged everything. As it happened we did not feel so good so eat at the hotel restaurant, which also provided good friendly service, even when there was a slight problem, they gave us a few drink each and 20% discount – I was impressed with that, as many other hotels we have stayed in would have done nothing. All in all we would go back again, primarily due to the service level of the hotel and club room staff. Read more

We will always stay in The langham Hotel whenever we go to HongKong and it has been the 3rd times. Of course we have ever tried other hotel but cannot be compare at all. Cleanliness, services, comfortable and location wise, this hotel is superb. Try the Tang Court roasted chicken located on the 2nd level of the hotel.

Langham Reception staff not friendly, barely civil, perhaps a bad day. Room was not satisfactory, and communication about this in writing was submitted to hotel management. Unfortunately the hotel was understaffed when we checked in and we waited at least 30 minutes to get our room key. Also we chose the hotel because it has a pool, but that day it was closed for a private party. Very disappointing. The room was beautiful and there were excellent ammentities. No view from our window though.

I got a call some time after I arrived in my room after checking-in to ask me if I needed any assistance. I didn't need to find the restaurant phone number to make reservation. Everything was done for me. Everyone was polite and professional. Shuttle Bus running from/to airport also made the travel easy.

This hotel is great, very traditional, old world charm, but all the latest conveniences. it is located right in the heart of the busiest area, conventient to walking everywhere, and public transportation, ferries, trains, and underground. of course the shopping is right at ur fingertips.....the only downfall is this area ( no fault of the hotel has […] either high end or low end restaurants, nothing in between, and after a few days u just want something basic to eat) the hotel has a nice and reasonable cafe, which we frequented a few times..... the rooms are very nice, a bit small, but very comfortable...again, being a man and with my son, the girly touches were a little uncomfortable, everything was pink..don't get it but maybe i was missing something.....we had twin beds so it was a bit tight sleeping...we r used to double or queen size beds....our view was bad, but that is not a facotr for me, we dont spend alot of time in the room. i think internet should be free, or at least reasonable. but very good in general. staff is great, friendly and efficient...especially the concierge...so nice and knowledgeable. all in all a great expeience, just a jewel in a crazy world..sitting in the lobby u feel like all the pressures of today disappear.......... Stayed here for 5 nights - loved it. Very close to the Star Ferry, which is a great way to get back and forth to Central (i.e. HK Island). Can't think of how this hotel could be any better!

We had a wonderful stay at the Langham. The staff were unbelievably attentive and friendly and couldn't have done more to make our stay more enjoyable. Eating there wasn't cheap but nothing is in Hong Kong. We would stay there again.

We are regular Langham clients but it was out first stay in Hong Kong. The hotel smelt wonderful, we both said we felt like we were coming home. The shower was fantastic, the room comfortable and quiet. We had a smaller room than usual but were pleased with how spacious it was. We had no complaints. I could not falter this hotel. The staff bent over backwards to assist with every request and an added bonus was that the staff spoke very good english. Recently stayed 2 night at The Langham on Peking Road on the way home from Europe. The Hotel is in a great location for dining and shopping, and only a quick few minutes walk to the Star Ferry to access Central HK. The MRT Station is across the road, and we caught a Taxi to Mongkok Ladies markets from Hotel for the equivilant of $20USD. The dining options […] offered in the Hotel were of a high standard - we enjoyed the breakfast buffet (wide choice of western and asian dishes), the on-site Michelen starred Chinese, Tang Court (really recommend the Peking Duck!!), and the Main Street Deli for a more casual meal (beware of the HUGE portion sizes!
