I was in a very small room, but it was comfortable and spotlessly clean. The bathroom was small but more than adequate and well appointed. Did not eat at the hotel so cannot comment on the quality of the food.

After many hours flying from JFK and almost missing my connecting flight in Paris to lyon I was a weary traveler. They lost my bags so you know the story. I took two trains to get to lyon, I walked up to the street did the 360 and the royal was right there. It was perfect. I walked the city had dinner and when I returned my bag was in my room. Nice hotel but very serious staff...rarely cracked a smile! Breakfast is wonderful. They put me on the top floor in a tiny room that was decorated like you were on a boat...and the room was small enough to be on a boat. It was April and hot on the 5th floor. The hotel was still in "heat" mode which means that there was no air-conditioning. Floor to […] ceiling windows could be open but then anyone from any of the rooms on the floor could access my bedroom through a common balcony...so they graciously changed me to a room that had windows that provided some security. From the check-in to the departure was definitely 5-star service. The staff was very helpful and prompt in meeting our needs. My husband and I had a comfortable stay in this charming boutique hotel, well-situated in the Bellecour area of central Lyon. The desk clerks and concierge were very helpful in making arrangements to garage our rental car or make reservations at a local restaurant. The toiletry amenities are first class. A couple of things to mention: the hotel does […] not offer currency exchange; there are Change bureaus within an 8 minute walk from the hotel. The room itself could use additional lighting for reading in bed. The logon process for WiFi was not as instructed by the front desk over the phone. I finally went down to the lobby with our Netbook and we figured it out. Suggest they furnish correct written instructions in each room. We had a nice meal in the hotel restaurant, a training institute affiliated with renowned chef Paul Bocuse. The service left a bit to be desired as our waiter never reappeared to pour our wine. It is located at the corner of the town's main square and at the foot of La Republique, a major shopping street. We loved the feather bed and the little sweets left on our bed stand every evening. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Ate one breakfast there and the yogurt was to die for! We enjoyed walking the streets of Lyon and the great restaurants. We would highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel was in an excellent location, right on the Place Bellecour. The staff were extremely professional and everything was well tended. The rooms are small, and although there is a closet, there is insufficient drawer or shelf space - but that was the only item we could find to comment on.

Very small hotel in the heart of bellecour with maximum personality and charm. Located right across from the bellecour square or place bellecour. The bathroom was almost as big as the bedroom and impeccably clean. Walking distance to both vieux lyon and lyon part dieu just across either river.

It was a beautiful quaint hotel with a great helpful staff. The hotel was in a central location-- everything was within walking distance. The room was very large and had a small balcony. And there were bouchons every night as a goodwill gesture. We enjoyed our stay.
