as always the best place to stay when taking a flight out of Vancouver Like the breakfast and shuttle service. Would recommend and stay again.

I travel to Richmond BC four times of the year and have stayed in a few different hotels, this one offers the best overall value. Check in - you need to pull in the drive way, hop off and check in then after you get your room card first in order to park in their lots. The front counter reps are friendly and fast service. Parking - use your room key […] to access free parking inside secure gated garage and you also have to use your room key to use the elevator which also offers the extra security! Room - newly renovated hotel offers modern decor, clean, and offers basic bathroom necessities. Free Wifi is reliable vs some of the other hotels where there was constant drop offs. Bed is comfy but in my opinion mattress can be a little more firm. Free breakfast in the morning had a good selection of scramble eggs, omelets, bacon, bagel, cinnamon rolls and a super cool made to order pancake machine! The breakfast room is airy, spacious and chair are comfy, and overall a relaxing environment. Minor Con - no mini fridge in room and the expanded cable channels does not offer the usual Food Network, etc... No fitness room or pool. Location is convenient - near the malls, eateries and airport. Across the busy Costco. The one small drawback is keep in mind because Costco is across the street, you will hear the occasional night time shipments that come in. But overall, I will come back again and highly recommend this hotel. Read more

This Holiday Inn Express hotel location is very convenience. It right next to COSTCO warehouse and a walk distance to "White Pass" train station. Newer double bed room condition was clean and secured with good room size. The hotel room rate included good breakfast food.

First of all, the hotel was ok, but not worth the price. Breakfast was fine. Neighborhood was ok, except for the area around the Casino and train station at night. Mgmt was a bit rude and incosiderate. For the money I paid, I expected better. If you are in the area to visit Vancouver, try a hotel closer or downtown if you can get a good deal for a hotel. […] However, the worst part, they charge for internet service in the common area (which is free in other holiday inn hotels). Hotel is close to airport and a block and a half from the skytrain/bus station, so it's easy to get around town from there. Pleasant hotel and they have have pretty decent breakfast.

Lovely place. Easy, convenient free parking. Out of the ordinary free breakfast offering. Friendly staff. Free Wi-Fi.

The hotel had everything I wanted. Reasonable price, clean room. We have a upper level room with a nice view. Close to downtown. Nice staff and quiet neighbor. Will come again to this hotel.

The first big plus is the rate was $xxx/nite. You half to use your room key to operate the elevator which is a nice security feature after you get used to it. The free breakfast is another big plus. A great help due to the weak dollar. On the negatives is the secured parking garage has really limited parking.

I don't usually write hotel reviews, but the staff at this hotel were wonderful to us. I chose the hotel because it was highly rated by other people and it advertised an airport shuttle. What I didn't know was that you can take a shuttle to the cruise ship from this hotel for $14/person. The Disney Cruise offered this service for $50. The front desk […] staff allowed us an early check-in, they offered bowls/microwave for me to warm left-over Chinese food. The room was spacious, large flat-screen television, two blocks away from the metro station, wonderful breakfast that serves until 10:00 AM! I have been to many hotels that stop serving at 8:00 AM. The Holiday Inn Express Vancouver airport is a very nice, clean, new hotel located very near the Vancouver airport. The hotel shuttle service to the airport is courteous and punctual. People who work at hotel are the nicest people in hotel industry..... they are wonderful, helpful, absolutely they all want to make customer's stay as comfortable as possible. You don't see that often. They should be 3.5 star hotel. Breakfast is great.

Room smelled musty (almost smoky) and damp. Did not have digital thermostat which made temp regulation dificult. Did not have USA Today newspaper but did provide local paper. Awkward to find, but large sign on top of building did the trick. Closest restaurant to walk to was Best Western hotel across the street. Food was mediocre.

Overall the hotel was average. Nothing great, but nothing bad either. Wouldn't recommend for anyone who needs to use the internet for business or pleaure as it is horribly slow and barely functional

The button to set the alarm time on the alarm clock no longer worked, but one call to the front desk brought another one up within ten minutes. I was pleased to see free copies of the Globe and Mail (not, thankfully, the National Post) already at the room door by 5 a.m. so I had something to read at the airport. My wife and I stayed at this hotel the night before our cruise to Alaska. We needed to print new boarding passes and luggage tags since there had been last minute changes. The computer and printer they had available for guests were out of order. They wouldn't do it for me in theirs either. In the morning the power went off for hours in part of the hotel. […] They said it was a power failure in the area, but everything else around the hotel, including traffic lights and other hotels, had power. For hours it was dark and hot. No TV, clock, hairdryer, etc. Upon checking out, we expected some kind of apology like We're sorry for the inconvenience, or maybe some kind of discount, but we got nothing. They may not give you what they offer, but they sure charge you for it. We're not the type that goes and complain or demand refunds, we just simply don't ever go back. Read more

There is nothing around the hotel except for Costco. For the same price, I would go for travelodge or hotel which are just a coule of blocks away but with more retail stores. Unless you have a rental car, I wouldn't recommend but it was very nice hotel.

Accommodating front desk staff, very congenial housekeeping staff (always greeted us when we were in the hallway), clean room, comfy bed, very clean bathroom (shower a bit weak and water rather soft), very nice breakfast with good selection and plenty of seating. Courtesy bus from airport very prompt. Bus also leaves hotel back to the airport every half hour. Good breakfast included in the price. Very friendly service from the reception staff.

I booked 3 rooms for 5 of us. Front desk staff was nice and efficient. They let all of us have a delayed check-out so we wouldn't arrive at the cruise ship port too early. Our rooms were very nice, clean and comfortable. We all stayed on different floors and agreed on the condition of the rooms. Excellent price, service, and location. Stay includes free parking, free breakfast, free internet, and room exceptional amenities to make sure you have the best stay possible. I check other hotels and none could deliver what this place did for the price. Rooms are very updated and contemporary. You can't beat this hotel, PERIOD!

Besure to lock your valuable items away. We lost several items during our two nights staying at the hotel. We checked with the front desk and none of the lost items were reported so no one knows what happened to them...

Very clean and quiet. Good service. Offered more variety than we expected at their breakfast bar and the hours were great (6-10am). Loved the noon check out time too! Very close to freeway and airport but not noisy like one might expect.

1) Located right next to Costco and very near the airport and City of Richmond. A short drive and there's tons of shopping and food to try. 2) Very helpful and friendly staff. 3) Located on along the airport landing path and right next to HWY 99, but still very very quiet. 4) All the rooms face the street on the Costco side and the hallway faces […] Highway 99. 5) Parking spaces are a bit tight, but you can park on the street in front of the hotel if you would like. You'll be able to see your car. 6) There is a small window that actually opens, so that's very nice to have some fresh air. 7) Breakfast isn't that great, but it's a lot better than most. If you like, there's a Tim Hortons about 2 blocks from there. 8) Avoid the rooms on the 3rd, 5th, and 7th floor at the end of the hotel near the stairway because that's where the ice machine is located. As the name of the hotel reveals, it is designed for express check-in and check-out. The rooms are small and basic, but met our one-day standard for getting in and out. The room includes a good wifi signal, a good breakfast, a newspaper, comfortable beds and pillows and courteseous desk personnel. They are more than willing to help you with small tasks […] such as contacting a taxi or finding out other information. The hotel is not well-placed for a restaurant. You have to walk several blocks to find a Tim Hortons or other spot. This is the main drawback of the hotel. Read more

A nice and convenience hotel next to Vancouver Airport!

We arrived from the airport at 12.45 am. Check in was really fast and when we got to the room the lights were on and the room was very cozy. It was -5 outside so the warmth was welcome. Only downside was the perfume in the front lobby if you are sensative to to fragrance you would have had trouble with the smell. This hotel was close to the airport and the hotel offers a free shuttle back and forth to the airport. The included free breakfast was about the best one I had seen at the Holiday Inn Expresses.

Nice staff and having convenience position. Very good breakfast and it is good for staying before departing Vancouver or arrival at Vancouver after a long distance flight.
