Location is great, right on the main road between airport and university. Also very close to dining and shopping centers. Parking is free which is also great.

Spacious room, comfy bed, decent amenities but we paid the higher rate for breakfast which wasn't actually included. Other than that no complaints. The location is convenient to the highway and close to UVA. The room was large with a fridge and big desk.

Convenient location to access UVA and in proximity to many restaurants. The room was next to the parking lot, so it was very noisy at night and several of the lamps did not have light bulbs which was inconvenient. Nevertheless, the staff was friendly, courteous and helpful.

Jus, okay, I thought the rooms priced was a little high,.. Also didn't like the smell of smoke coming from the hallway leading to my room .. Bath tub had crack lining in tub, poor jobs of painting of the stair well .... Door electronic locks took 3 trys before opening and found room doors opening into room

The heating unit did not work, but it was immediately replaced in short order by a amintenance man who knew what he was doing. After that was tended to, the stay was satisfactory. The room was big enough to be comfortable. The only sour note: We stayed there because I had to be at UVA Hosp for a cancer treatment at 6 AM. It is a very nice hotel - clean and well-kept. The location was very suitable to our needs. We stayed on the 2nd floor but the lobby is on the third floor - strange riding the elevator "down" to our room. We did not evaluate either the lounge or the restaurant. We stayed at this hotel for our nephew's wedding and were very pleased. Rooms were clean, beds were plush, and everything worked. In addition, to our pleasant surprise, our room had both a refrigerator and a microwave. Breakfast is not included, but the breakfast buffet at the restaurant on premises was so that we saw no reason to eat anywhere else

I was afraid at first that it would not be nice being that we booked at the last minute on a football weekend and this was basically one of the last available rooms close to UVA. You can tell the building is an older building as soon as you drive up, but was glad to see some recent updates when we got inside. The rooms were satisfactorily clean and updated, but some of the public spaces were still in need of new carpeting and paint.

We liked the convenient location and the fact it was a major hotel chain. But this hotel is aging and could use some updating. The mattresses were awful. The sliding glass door did not lock (The room was on the second floor which is really below the lobby level.) Came to Charlottesville to watch a baseball game. The hotel was close to the field. Rooms were old but clean. Had a great Indian restaurant within walking distance. The breakfast buffet was above average, though the service was a bit sub-par. The waitress asked if we wanted a coffee refill once in 30 minutes.

I really appreciate the staff working with me. My daughter was having lasik eye surgery on May 16th in Charlottesville and we decided to stay over since we had to be there the very next morning back to the dr.'s office. I called ahead and told them the situation and asked if I could check in before 3:00 because my daughter had to go straight to the […] hotel to sleep. they agreed, this was suppose to be around 12:00 noon that day. We arrived in Charlottesville about 30 minutes before her surgery, so I stopped by the hotel to see if I could go ahead and check in, that way we could just go straight to the room. They agreed again! :) This was EXTREMELY helpful because as soon as we left the Dr.'s office and headed to the hotel my daughter had to recieve drops in her eyes, they were starting to bother her really bad. I couldn't stop in traffic, so we quickly got to the hotel, went straight to our room and I was able to tend to my daughter's needs. If they would not have let me check in early and even earlier than expected, this trip and experience would have been horrible. Thank you to the staff at Holiday Inn in Charlottesville Va!
