"A nice surprise but lacking breakfast"
Being extended stay, the rooms are much like tiny condos including a kitchenette. The convertible chair/bed was very nice for us. The only issue was the lack of breakfast items. Not depleted, simply not "on the menu". If you only wanted a muffin, or an apple, and coffee, you would be happy. That's all that was offered. A toaster was there but nothing […] to put in it. Cream cheese but no bagels or toast. No pastries. No juices or tea. Not even water. Had I been there with my family and had to go elsewhere and pay for breakfast, I would have been quite upset! However, the rest of the hotel and the staff were quite nice. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Dont stay here."
The picture of their website is totally different than what it's actually is. This is the first time we pay but decide to stay somewhere else. The room has 1 double bed and the size is much smaller than normal because it's subdivide the room for a little kitchen that you don't need if you only stay over night to go on the cruise the next day and there […] is no sofa bed only one single chair that pull out to be a bed if needed. The hotel itself needs to to update their bathroom as well. It's just so old. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

We usually stay here on our night before cruise departure in Galveston. Hotel is consistent and we are always happy with it. Front desk people are quick to react to questions and requests. It is an easy on and off from I-45 and just 30 min or less from the RCCL pier. Next door is Zio's Italian food. You can walk from the hotel so that makes it very nice. And the food and wine are always great after a day on the road. And for breakfast, go across the street to La Madeline.
if you are interested in staying here for staff friendly then this is the place. other that that quality feature nothing else makes this place a good place to stay. not the bed,Internet, rooms, or kitchen. the location is by fantastic restaurants but with several option to stay elsewhere why stay at extended stay of America? Warning danger ahead
"Breakfast was a bit sparse, bed hard but overall it was a good visit."
08/10/14 Mary G Austin, Texas
Choose an upper floor. Footsteps early in the morning woke us up. Very early in the morning. The bed was hard but slept ok anyway. Looked at the breakfast and decided to go to Whataburger for a taquito and juice. We were able to walk to a restaurant right across the street and that was nice. The room was clean. Air conditioner worked great. It was near the mall and other activities.

"Very uncomfortable bed"
07/20/14 Laurie K Temecula, California
Very disappointed in this hotel. First time staying at an Extended Stay so not sure if they are all this uncomfortable. Great location and close to lots of wonderful restaurants and shopping. Hotel looked nice from outside and lobby was okay. Pitiful breakfast selection....just a couple of cereals and coffee. No juices or water even or milk. Queen bed was tiny and mattress so thin and slanted. My mom's smoking room (requested non-smoking at reservation) was hard to breathe in it was so unbelievably filled with smoke residue. We requested changing her room everyday but never allowed to move. She is 84 and not in the best of health and she couldn't sleep well at all in that room. Her sink leaked as well. Staff was less than helpful and we kept having to go to desk because the room key would lose its charge. We wanted to like this place because of the great location but unfortunately won't be staying there again.
"Bed was hard as a brick and no room service"
07/07/14 Terri K Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Location was awesome, close to Galveston. Bed was hard as a brick, rooms are not cleaned daily. Breakfast was nothing but packaged muffin or pack of oatmeal. You could hear every step the person upstairs made. No sheets for the couch bed.
"Don't stay here if you actually plan to sleep!"
05/22/14 Amanda C Denton, Texas
Upon arrival, we were barely greeted by the front desk clerk. She was very unfriendly. When we gave her our name, she said we reserved a smoking room. I told her that we reserved through X website and they did not give us a choice on room. We asked that she move us to a nonsmoking room. She argued with us about it, but finally did move us over to a nonsmoking room. When we got to the room, we looked around and it was clean. We were only staying for a night so that's all I really wanted. After coming back from dinner, my husband and I went to sleep. Well, at least tried to. The bed was extremely uncomfortable! Hard as rock. I barely got any sleep, I was up and down all night. I finally had to take a Benadryl in order to get some sleep. I honestly think I would have slept better on the floor. Upon checkout, the clerk (different from check in) was much more friendly.
"Unless you sleep like the dead,Don't stay here"
03/16/14 Chris C Loganville, Georgia
Where to start, I have been here for a week and spoke to front desk about the noise. Finally last night I had enough and called front desk at 11:30 p.m. looking for help with the constant back and forth stomping from above. The lady who I spoke with sounded very annoyed that I called at all and despite my efforts to get off the phone she drug it on and on. Then she finally said she would look into it. She had the nerve to call back to tell me I was WRONG, the noise was not coming from the room above me but from kids running up and down the hallways above! And there was nothing she planned to do about it. In the morning I informed the front desk of my intentions to check out. They offered me 2 comp. nights if I would stay, I asked what good would staying do? Would the noise stop? The (very nice) Front desk lady sadly said she understood. Now on to the room, I reserved the deluxe suite, It is a dump, couch is ratty, carpet is sticky, no dresser only night stands and a broken lounge chair. The only redeeming quality is location, this hotel is in the middle of everything you could possibly need. On to Internet, the ala cart up charge of $20 gets you "fast" internet, it never worked and the provider InnFlux refunded me stating it was broken and could not tell me when of it it was going to be fixed.
"Last resort only"
03/11/14 Gary Y Webster, Texas
Bring your own towels and sheets. I haven't had maid service for over a month. No replacement bedding available at the front desk. Internet is up and down. Hotel is not responsible for the internet service. You have to talk to customer support in Canada. Only one washer and two dryers in the Laundromat work. You need to find off premise laundry facilities. On premise staff has authority to accept check ins and check outs only. They cannot authorize any solutions to problems. That is the exclusive responsibility of an off site manager.
"You often get what you pay for"

In defense, this was an inexpensive room. But everything at the motel seemed really to be done on the cheap. The grounds, interiors, hallways, gym, breakfast, and rooms were all second rate. I couldn't cook in the room, no pots or pans or can opener, this is supposed to be a feature of this chain of motels, but this oversight was typical of the quality of this stay. I had to stay here 4 nights for business, and hope to stay elsewhere in the future. The morning coffee was ok, and the TV seemed new to me.
