The hotel was comfortable and convenient to Lackland AFB. We were pleasantly surprised to find out the room had a refrigerator and microwave. Aside from no elevator which was really only a BIG deal the night we checked in, the bathroom left a little to be desired. Overall a pleasant stay.

Initial entry into room was nice. However being there for two nights room service did not touch our room after the first night. Had to call to get coffee for the next morning. Hotel does not have an elevator not a problem for my family but I could see how that could be an issue for others. Hotel staff was willing to help with luggage though.

The area the hotel is located is not the best. Multiple signs outside the building prompt visitors to lock their vehicles and hide possession of value. This is the best hotel in the immediate area (off base) . The hotel tries to be energy efficient, however the attempt results in very harsh lighting and not a very warm atmosphere. We stayed here when we came for our daughter's graduation at Lackland AFB. The location is 2 minutes outside the gate. The neighborhood is not the greatest...this hotel is the nicest one out of all of them in the immediate area by far. That being said, I have never stayed at a hotel where signs saying "Hide your possessions - lock them away" were posted […] every 2 feet before. The hotel is obviously trying to be energy efficient, but the lighting is very harsh and unwelcoming throughout the facility. It is a two story, but no elevators are available. The bathroom in the 2 queen room we stayed in was the size of a closet - very small. The room was very clean and housekeeping did an excellent job and were very friendly over the 4 days we were there. I've stayed at better and i've stayed at worse...out of the options available if you want to stay close to the base, it's worth it, otherwise I would look elsewhere. Read more

We were in San Antonio for our daughter's graduation from Air Force Basic Training and needed a hotel that fairly close to Lackland AFB. I read many reviews concerning hotels in the area and was not very pleased with what I read. When I picked this hotel I was confident that it would be nice. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful from the front counter to the bar tender to the housekeepers. We loved the courtyard surrounding the pool area where we could just sit and relax after a long day on the base. This is a typical Holiday Inn with pleasant staff, and clean, comfortable rooms that are in keeping with what you would expect. However, the restaurant that's attached to the hotel and is the only food nearby, is truly terrible. The food is horrendous. It is expensive as one would expect but the quality leaves so very much to be desired.

Had reservation for adjoining rooms. Well that didn't happen. They had us several rooms apart. My rooms AC went out then we had to move room again. No manager was ever around to air grievences. I will not stay there again.

Overall the stay was good, hotel and room were clean, nice pool area. The restaurant inside the hotel was useful but didn't have much to choose from on the menu or the menu item wasn't available. The staff was plesant and helpful also.

The room was small for the ones I have stayed in, with a horrible smell. The floor was extremely wet beside the windows I guess where the a/c was dripping. The food was not the best, breakfast was ok. I would not stay at this hotel again.

Bedrooms pass, the walls it's dirty, we got a room with mold on bathrooms walls, Torn towels The hotel don't have breakfast included, don't have elevator for second floor, the pool area it's not appropriate for a family.

The neighborhood was rather scary! I would not want to go outside at night alone. It was difficult to sleep due to the air conditioning unit kept making various noises. We ended up putting the unit on to cool the room to the point where it was very cold and then we turned it off and hoped it would stay cool all night. The other issue was the refrigerator […] kept ticking! It sounded like a second hand on a noisy clock. We ended up having to unplug it so we could fall asleep. On the evening before our check out, we used the computer to print our boarding passes. We asked the girl at the front desk where the printer was. She kindly told us it was behind her desk. When we sent the command to the printer, she was on the phone with what sounded to be a friend, however she was very quick to pause her conversation and retrieve our paperwork. Read more

The cleanliness of the room was disappointing. There was a pen cap, not ours, under the sink that remained in the same position for our entire stay. There were 2 black hair pins on a tray that is placed on the sink. It holds the ice tray and cups. Those hair pins were also there our entire stay. Obviously the cleaning crew doesnt move that tray to clean […] it or the 2 hair pins would have been removed before my stay. The exterior door that requires a key card would finally unlock after no less than 6 times after swiping the card. The cable was out so our TV showed nothing but snow. The office stated that they would see what they could do but it took us going to the office and requesting assistance before they would help. After all that, the toilet broke.!!! Read more

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Lackland because our son was graduating from BMT at Lackland AFB. It was very close to the base, less than a ten minute drive. The rooms were more than acceptable, there was a nice bar and restaurant and swimming pool along with a hot tub. The staff were friendly and helpfull. Our graduated Airman loved the A/C in room 208 […] and enhanced his desire and expierence of getting some well deserved sleep. I would absolutely recommend this hotel for people heading to San Antonio for the graduation of their Airman from Lackland AFB. Also close to a Denny's and Duncan Doughnuts, something quick and easy when your only desire is to see your son or daughter after 8 ½ weeks of basic training. The hotel smelled like smoke on the first floor, not enough towels in room, the cable had a grainy screen on every channel, the coffee machine gives you half a cup, most of the lamps in the room had no light bulbs, the AC unit is loud and turns on every 5-10 minutes.

The air conditioner did not cool the room very well at night. We had a difficult time trying to adjust the shower head for a comfortable shower. The linen service was slow and to ice machine broke down the second day we were there.

I got to this hotel looking for something close to the Seaworld SA in Expedia; it is not that close and the location does not worth the price the charge for the rooms. In my opinion, it is a little overpriced for the location (industrial zone). In addition, there is not a good food places close by either (only fast-food type, driving distance).
