The positives are that our room appeared to have been recently refreshed with new paint and carpet. It was nice to have a refrigerator and mircrowave in the room although we only used the frige. The room itself was a nice size with a sitting area and we liked having the vanity outside the bathroom. The negatives are that the beds were very hard and […] uncomfortable. They were low-quality beds that bounced with every little move. We came back to our room at about 2:30 and it still hadn't been cleaned so we just got clean towels and told them to skip it. I plugged the coffee maker in but it kept tripping the breaker in the plug. I moved it to the vanity and the same thing happened. Parts of the motel were covered with the blue tarps from previous wind damage and the "fitness center" is a joke. But we weren't there to work out anyway. Read more

Chose this hotel because it was close to relatives & attractions...and it had a kitchenette, pool, and fitness room. But the beds were horrible -- very springy, not firm. My husband and I had sore backs and bad sleep the entire time. The kitchenette was convenient, but some pieces were missing (not quite enough plates, cups, & silverware for 4 ... and […] missing a spatula). The room didn't feel very clean. And the A/C wasn't very effective -- only one unit near the door...which took forever to reach to the side where the beds were located. The pool water seemed filmy. And the "fitness room" consisted of 1 treadmill & 1 elliptical -- both of which were broken. Also, the "fitness room" door didn't automatically close, which means that pretty much anyone from the neighborhood could probably get in (which may explain why nothing worked in there). The neighborhood felt very unsafe. Also, seemed like several families were living here permanently (with maybe 10 people per room), which felt weird/unsafe. And the management was rude -- gave my husband attitude when he went to ask for additional towel sets (they had only provided 2)...seemed to be scared of the neighborhood, so comes off defensive to everyone who comes by the office during the evening hours. made reservation for smoking room was told my reservation was for non-smoking. Room was fair, clean, bed pillows worn out, couch worn out. other than that ok. police seemed to circle through the lot numerous times, concerned me as to safety in the area.

The place is a dump. Room had a sour smell. In the bathroom there was a dirty towel with stains on the back of the bathroom door. Also, the towels and face cloths had stains, too. Hotel was in good location but quite run down. Didn't get the daily service as advertised. When they did come by they carried supplies in a shopping cart from the store next door and they counted towels I gave them and gave me back the same number of towels. Requested one extra but was told no. No toaster in the room but pots, pans, crockery and knives […] and forks. Internet access included but the access was sketchy and when it was working it was very very slow and really frustrating to use. I'd rather pay a minimal fee for good reliable coverage. Plenty of shops and restaurants in close vicinity. I suppose you get what you pay for but it wasn't that cheap and there was definitely no warm fuzzy feeling. Have stayed in better value nearby in this price range or cheaper. Read more

We were only 15 miles from the Dallas Arboretum, less than 10 from the Dallas Museum of Fine Arts, and 20 minutes from the Ft Worth Museums. TV worked funky, but was rectified ASAP by management. Thought that proximity to DFW might be an issue, but the rooms are totally soundproofed, which was nice. The room was comfortable. I really enjoyed my stay. The atmosphere was really quiet and the location is excellent there is Wal-Mart across the street and Irving Mall across the highway everything you need is in the vicinity. Really enjoyed my stay...Only one suggestion there were no linen for the pull out bed.

After reading some other reviews on the website I knew to expect just what I paid for. And I was actually more impressed that what I was hoping to be. We just needed a place to stay for one night in the area. It is obviously an older hotel, but no complaints on condition.
