Our original room was dirty and the room we were put in was dirty as well. It had a dirty bandaid on the floor , the Internet wouldn't work and the bathroom was not clean. We will never stay at your hotel again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Open the windows!"
Hotel room was filthy - stains everywhere, chairs and couch had food or who knows what on them all rubbed in, and the smell.... Unfortunately the windows would not stay open so to get some fresh air had to use a cup to prop open.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

great hotel is perfect location! Will stay there again!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
This hotel had NO amenities - no shampoo, conditioner, lotion, etc. Soap only. Only one wastecan in the suite. No glasses, cups, etc. except the ones in the suspicious cabinet. The sheets on one of the beds I would be using to cover plants in cold weather. It was so dingy/yellow and thin it was pitiful! And there was one decaffinated coffee packet - […] no actual coffee. And when we tried to ring the front desk to request a wake-up call, there was no answer - I guess because it was after nine pm. The best thing was that it was 1/2 mile from MD Anderson. "More than disappointing"
Trips to the front desk always resulted in a wait for the staff, who spent most of their time in the back room behind the desk, to recognize that someone was at the desk and needed service. The room had two lamps with burned out bulbs, there were only 2 coathangers in the "closet", the kitchen cabinets contained food crumbs from previous occupants, […] the microwave oven had dried food on its interior walls, and there was mold around the kitchen sink. The burned out lights were promptly replaced, and extra hangers were promptly provided, but the fact that these discrepancies had to be corrected after the room was rented rather than just after the last guest checked out of it tells me that he daily cleaning and maintenance staff don't apply a lot of diligence to their jobs. This Is apparently an old facility; either that, or it has been used hard and not maintained very well. Although I've given it a rating of 2, it really should probably be a 1. Although I only spent one night there, I cannot imagine staying in such conditions for an extended period of time. I will not subject my family to a stay in this facility again. "Close to Museum Center"
I was at first hesitant about Extended Stay America because I was just going to stay for 2 nights and it seemed ridiculous to stay at an Extended Stay right? But I enjoyed the fact that it had two beds and a wonderful flat screen television. The front desk employees weren't too friendly when I was checking in or even when I called to inquire about some […] information. The microwave and refrigerator were not working but oh well. "Never recommend this place"
Never recommend anyone. The table was dirty with stains and no one really cared to check on service. The Front Desk service gave wrong keys and when called did not answer the phone and when I told her the same, she threatened not to scream, while she was the one screaming. "I would recommend it but depending on the person"
The room had a very pleasant configuration, it also had amenities such as a kitchen and refrigerator that I personally used and was thankful for their presence; the microwave wasn't working but I can't speak for all the rooms, I didn't receive any housekeeping service while I was in there but I didn't mind it, the breakfast was much better than the […] other extended stay hotels in houston that i have visited so it was a very pleasant surprise. Absolutely no room service. Carpet was filthy and old. Kitchen(?) Flooring was sticky and bare feet not an option. the price for room was about three times what it should have been. I have stayed in bad, cheep hotels before, but never anything like this and especially at that room price! Rest assured , will never make that mistake again and will certainly […] spread the word. "Very dangerous area and rude hotel staff"
I hated it and did not appreciate how the hispanic girls treated me at the front desk like I was a bother and was especially rude when they messed up my dates and called my room asking if I was checking out yet. They were rude to my wife, my 3 year old daughter and myself. Also, many cancer patients stay at area hotels while getting treatment in the […] medical center and they had granola bars for breakfast and there was a lady who had all 4 tires taken from her car while staying there so I checked out early and went to MainStay Suites on Old Spanish trail and the price is $10 cheaper for a larger room, better food options and friendlier non racist staff. "Restful and clean."
I was there on business so didn't spend much time in my room. It was fine except there was not silverware or pans in the room. The front desk gladly supplied these. My only complaint was that the mattress was very hard.Genuine Expedia guest review
Front desk never answer phone. Room was 80 degrees when we walked in and thermostat wasn't working. Sheets were "rough". Cigarette burns on toilet seats. No bottled water or amenities in room. Not very well laid out. Kitchenette sink sprayed water all over when turned on.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Good location, below average accomodations."
The location to the medical centers was great, but the room was sub-par. It had a funny smell and it was very outdated. But you can't expect much for the price. It suited my needs for a one night stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good place to stay if you have to be away."
I arrived two hours ahead of the check-in time. The desk attendent was very nice and went to the housekeepers to find out which rooms were cleaned and ready to be issused out. I was in a room within one hour. The room was very clean, and a good size compared to some others I have been in. This hotel is with in walking distance to MD Anderson Hospital. […] It took me about 15 mins from door to door. But if you dont like walking you can take the holtel shuttle for free. This suttle was never late as long as I was there. THe free morning breakfast was a plus if you had to eat and run to an appointment. The outside grounds was very well kept and some of most beautiful flowers I have ever seen. I sit outside as much as I could. Once a day the shuttle takes people to do shopping for food or at targets department store for other things. If you are driving here ther is plenty of free parking at the hotel. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Not a good night's sleep"
I had stayed here many years ago, but it really seemed run down this visit. The bed was especially uncomfortable. I won't be returning. The only positive is the proximity to the Medical Center.Genuine Expedia guest review

"convenient location, full kitchen"
this was a spartan but acceptable hotel. Few amenities, but large guest rooms and a full kitchen. Ideal for longer stay. Breakfast is a few bread products, juice and coffee. It was fine for us. "Won't stay here again"
Stayed here five years ago for several days and was satisfied. Hotel has gone downhill since then. Bathroom had not been adequately cleaned (urine on the floor) which made me wonder what else was dirty that I could not see. Bath tub did not drain properly. Blanket on bed torn. No one at desk when I wanted to check out. Paid too much for what I got. For what I paid, I have no complaint. Everything related to the room, hotel location and condition was just alright to me. I'll come back to this place whenever possible.Genuine Expedia guest review
Overall a decent enough place to stay. But very disappointed with my room, I requested a non-smoking room, got a smoking room with a ozone air cleaner that wasn't effective at all. Comforter was not washed and reeked of cigarette smoke. Left the room smelling like ash trays. Even when I returned home my belongings smelled like stale cigarette smoke. […] But nothing laundry soap can't get out. Front desk employees not friendly at all and never smiled. Other workers that we ran into were very polite and greeted us with a smile. For a short stay probably would go back with the exception of definitely getting a true non smoking room. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Motel needs serious upgrades"
We were very close to children's hospital and Ronald McDonald House where my daughter & family are staying. However the carpeting in room is so stained you need to wear slippers or shoes. The bath tub also is so stained the bottom of tub was grayish black. The microwave worked occasionally when called maintenance he said the bulb was burned out. Also […] the glass plate inside microwave was missing but the plastic piece with the wheels was in microwave. When asked about maid service was told they only clean once a week. No wonder the carpet and tub was so nasty. When going out to the pool you have to walk past the trash/alot of trash that stunk. We enjoyed the continental breakfast it was decent. "I would rather stay at Motel 6"
This hotel is the only one in my experience that they do not provide the necessities for shower needs such as: shower gel, shampoo, hair conditioner, klinesses. When I ask the desk clerk about it, she said we never had it. In the kitchen there is no dish soap. They do provide breakfast, but beside coffee, orange juice, single wrap muffins, batter for […] waffles, and some fruits, That's it! We will not stay there again. The hotel staff was very helpfull when I arrived. We only stayed for a day but the room was really big for a hotel. The Kitchen was nice to have even though it is small. "Good enough in Houston."
If I had to do it again, I would. The hotel is in a quiet neighborhood, not quite scenic but not scary either. Easy to get in and out and close to the most important sites of Houston. They should update the bathrooms, but overall the room was satisfactory.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"You get what you pay for . . ."
Reasonal rates if you need to stay closest to medical center. We had a queen room and it was a very tight space. Convenient if you need to have an extended stay since a kitchen is provided. Not many cooking utensils, dishes, provided. You need to exchange your dirty towels at the front desk for clean ones. Room is only cleaned, garbage, bedding, etc. […] weekly. Mattress felt like a box spring and upholstered chair was stained. Parking is easy and noise level was low. Don't expect shampoo etc in your room because you need to ask at front desk. Wireless internet provided in room. If you are tight on cash and don't plan on being in your room that much and don't expect much, book this hotel. But I must say, I didn't see any of the larger most costly rooms in regard to space. But I'm sure the beds, furniture, bedding, pillows are the same across all room types. Iron, ironing board and hair dryer provided in room. Plenty of storage drawers. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"They have a dedicated Med Center shuttle"
Surprised I didn't (readily) see other reviews mentioning their shuttle - which is shared with their sister hotels in the area, comes about once an hour, and stops by about 10 or so popular Med Center bldgs. Otherwise, hotel condition is fare. Stinky hallway carpets definitely need replacement first. Beds are definitely FIRM. But staff was friendly, […] (free) breakfast fairly nice, and location can't be beat obviously. You'll have to drive south on Main or Fannin St. to find dinner. "a little disappointing"
More than a little seedy, it's not really what I would call 2 1/2 star rating. I think someone needs to really define what that means, because Expedia is all over the map. Sometimes their 2 1/2 star is amazing, but lately, it's been extremely disappointing. The room was small and a little dingy. I had to walk a really long distance to the room from […] the elevator. "Good Overall Stay...."
Stayed here while in town to catch an Astros game. Room was nice, clean, and perfect size for 2 people. 3 issues: front desk never answers the phone and they're never at the desk, ceilings are thin, and it's not 4 miles from minute maid park as advertised. I had a problem with my phone. I could not call outside of the hotel. I reported it 3 times and got no response. There is no computer room for internet use. The breakfast was not good at all.
