"Short business trip"
Convenient for where I was based. One light not working so the desklamp became an ornament. Television aerial connection created snowstorm viewing. OK for short stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice hotel close to theatre"
My main hype was my room it was lnumber 222 located behind the elevators and they were so noisy it was so bad. Didn't get much sleep and my bathroom was so noisy when not in use rushing water in pipes. The mattress wasn't comfortable and pillows were like sleeping on bricksGenuine Expedia guest review
Very good indeed. Helpful, courteous and pleasant staff, comfortable room and good food.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I found that the breakfast wasn't good and when I asked at my breakfast for tea it seemed like hassleGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice hotel but rooms somewhat dated"
The staff were very helpful and pleasant, but the room are somewhat dated and in need of an upgrade. The hot tap on the bath took a long time to fill and the bath pannel was cracked. The food was good at both breakfast and in the bar in the evening. This was the third time we have stayed in this hotel.Genuine Expedia guest review
"A little dated, could do with modernising."
All in all you get what you pay for, I just wanted somewhere near the port so this was ideal. Hotel is a little dated and could do with modernising. Rooms are very warm, if you open the windows then they are very noisy. Food in the bar though was spot on, huge 'T-bone steak for 20 Euro and added a sauce for free!!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Arrived in Dublin and stayed four nights. Hotel is good value and the bar/restaurant was an excellent choice for evening drinks. For 10 euro the buffet style breakfast was excellent but there was no lighter / cheaper fare offered..Genuine Expedia guest review
"Perfect for Convention Centre"
Very handy, helpful staff. 9 mins slow walk to CCDGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Friendly welcoming staff, homely. Good staff knowledge of area. Self service breakfast was good. In all a very enjoyable stay and would recommend.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Excellent value for money"
It is a former Holiday Inn and the hotel still reflects this standard. Had a great city break in Dublin. Very easy to walk around. Temple Bars only 10 mins away. Bargain with Expedia.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Stay spoiled by noisy guests"
Friday and Saturday's nights' sleep seriously interrupted by drunken and noisy guestsGenuine Expedia guest review
"Disappointed with service and staff"
We were sleepping, the midle of night it was lots off noise and could not gone to sleep again, we were 3 people in the room. none of us gone to sleep again, the fallowing day we were soo tired, we could not do our plann , because no energy left.Genuine Expedia guest review
I stayed at the hotel with my two children and it was the perfect location for our first visit to Dublin. All main attractions 10-15 min walk away. We arrived at the hotel before the check-in time but were able to go straight into the room. Room was a bit outdated but very clean and spacious. Good breakfast and friendly staff. "Old and worn"
We booked this hotel because the price was right, and it seemed to be close to the Temple Bar/Grafton Street area, at least on paper. It is within walking distance, but the outer edge of what I feel is convenient; it would be an effort to go back to the hotel to drop of bags in the middle of the day, so we carried them around. I understand it was a […] Holiday Inn previously, and it does seem like and old and tired hotel, that has not been refurbished for several years. The staff was very nice and helpful, and they did have a nice touch of having the TV on, with a personal welcome on the screen, and classical music playing when we entered our room. For a hotel in the city, the room was decently large, as was the bathroom. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Good value close to shopping and pubs"
Good value. No free wifi was disappointing. Staff very helpful. Small grocery store next door good option for breakfast and snacks. Hop on hop off stop across the street. .Genuine Expedia guest review
Staff was very rude. They were dealing us as if we are staying on their expenses and they tried very hard to make us learn to stay 'as it is' bad condition of the room rather than making it tidy.We stayed for four nights and second day they did not do our room service .Parking facility was good but you have to wait long time for the gate opening before […] entering /exiting. "Family room in central Dublin"
The area was peopled by a number of drunk football supporters, which made us uneasy walking down the street, but we weren't disturbed at night. The local eating places were all greasy fast food places and the hotel restaurant overpriced, so we had a long trek to find suitable food. The room was comfortable and reasonably spacious for a family room, […] but only 2 sets of towels were provided. The receptionist was not courteous when I requested more and said that the booking was for only 2 people - ridiculous as he had just checked all 4 of us in. The bath was chipped and the skirting boards in need of filling and a coat of paint. However, the basic comforts were provided and we enjoyed our stay. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Nice staff, shabby room"
Room let the hotel down, was clean but too worn to look in good order Family room, absolute need of a refurb. Location fine 10 mins walk to Trinity, bit quiet at night for a walk back.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Comfortable and friendly, well worth a visit!"
The hotel is situated in an area suitable for sightseeing around Dublin city centre and beyond. My wife and I booked a double room which was spacious, comfortable and quiet, bathroom/shower area very good. Breakfast was included in our deal and an excellent choice was available. Bar food was also good and prices reasonable. We found the Pearce to be […] a friendly, well run hotel with a nice atmosphere and would use it again, no problem. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

Breakfast was absolutely awful. We couldn't even get a hot cup of tea or coffee. And the milk for the cereal was warm - yuk... location is just OK, but that's about it....Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Enjoyable stay at Pearse Hotel, Dublin"
We arrived at the hotel and where greated by very welcoming reception staff, checked in quickly, restaurant and breakfast hours where explained to us fully, our room was on the first floor and just round the corner from the lift, this was handy for my mother who cannot walk far. We had requested a room with easy access to lifts etc. The room was large […] spacious with two double beds, dressing table, large television, and two large windows which let in a lot of light.. The beds where very comfortable, alough extra pillows where required. Room and bathroom where spotless. We ate in the restaurant on our first night and had a lovely t-bone steak meal for 23 euros, great value. Our hotel was in an excellent area for the theatre, however it was a taxi journey from the main shopping area. All in all it was a great hotel and staff where friendly and courteous. I have booked to stay again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Convenient location, generous staff"
The hotel is well-situated, and the charge for overnight stay reasonable. Comfortable room, though there was a very tired armchair in need of repair. It was with some surprise that I learnt from the receptionist that breakfast was not included in the Expedia package. I checked the paperwork which included a reference to breakfast at 9.95 euros per person. […] When I came to check out, she said there would be no charge for the breakfast which was extremely generous of her. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

Good hotel and very nice room however the bathroom could do with updating/tidying up as it had a few cracked tiles and dirty bath sealant.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Good over nighter."
Suitable for a stay in the dockland area and the Bord Gais Theater it is just around the corner 3 minutes walk. A 15 minute walk to city center . Good value for money and 10 Euro for a very safe car park under the hotel.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Friendly staff, rough beds"
My family (husband, 2 kids) stayed at the Pearse Hotel for 3 nights. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. They even had a fan when I requested one. My son, Collin, quickly made friends with Colin in the restaurant (who got my son extra scrambled eggs, even though the breakfast was over). The continental breakfast was great ... perfect mixture […] of hot and cold foods! Hotel room was roomy. Shower pressure was amazing!! My only complaint was the bed and pillows ... Horrible. The bed were hard and lumpy. As for the pillows, I felt like I was sleeping on folded sheets. They were very hard and unforgiving. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends ... just bring your own pillow. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
The hotel was clean, and the staff helpful.Location was great as we were attending a concert in The Aviva Stadium and this was within walking distance.Top marks has to go the restaurant where we enjoyed an excellent meal .Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Would not come back"
Main problem was the staff - reception staff were rude and unhelpful. When we went down for breakfast there was no hot food apart from beans, when we looked for staff they were all in the kitchen on the phones.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Pearse Hotel Dublin"
It was a good welcome hotel with helpful staff. The hotel was OK and a good breakfast was served. The only annoying issue was the unbelievable cost of using the Internet (12p/minute)! For me this can be a very discouraging factor to go there or similar hotels again!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Close to everything"
Hotel was clean and the restaurant food was excellent. The breakfast was also really nice. The staff were a bit stand offish, but polite and courteous when needed. This hotel is all about location, location, location and if you are visiting Dublin it's perfect.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

The hotel is nice enough and the staff were friendly and helpful but it is a walk away from anything interesting within the city.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Good location for the South East of town"
The hotel was clean, and well kept, although was a little dated. The hotel room was spotless and very comfortable complete with air-con. The TV was quite old, and crackled, could do with some digital investment. The breakfast was buffet-style, and free-flowing coffee/tea. The cooked option was good, although I felt the continental option was a little […] lacking (no yogurts, fresh fruit and little choice for meats/cheese). Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great hotel to see Dublin on foot!!"
Pearse Hotel is ideally situated for short walk to Trinity College, Grafton St., Merrion Square, Government Buildings. I have stayed at the Hotel on numerous occasions when attending concerts at O2, Bord Gais Theatre, Olympia Theatre, Vicar Street and Whelans, all within easy walking distance! My only complaint in recent months is that the Hotel is […] so busy I have been able to stay Mon - Thurs and have had to move to another Hotel if I am staying in Dublin for a Friday night!! A lesson here - book early!! I always order breakfast in my room, gives me more time to make phone calls, listen to Irish radio and do several other things all at the same time! Very good service, I don't think too many hotels offer this service any more. Long may it last. Hotel also very good for buses to City, costs 1euro 65c. I always use bus from Airport to Convention Centre, cross the Liffey, walk another couple of minutes and I am at Pearse Hotel, Airlink costs 6euro 50c one-way, 12euro return. I feel that the Pearse Hotel offers very good value for money! Staff are only lovely, lovely people, and they have worked there for years, I love the familiarity. An adequate hotel in all respects, but lacking any ‘zing’. The wi-fi system (which is not free) is annoyingly complex to connect to.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
This hotel is wonderful! It's a decent price for excellent service! I was really impressed with the hotel staff... Everyone was imcredibly friendly and helpful!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel was a perfect for the purpose of our visit. The hotel was very clean. Our bathroom (room 206) is in need of some modernisation and painting. The bedroom was spacious and the beds were comfy. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was very good.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Value for money"
Read all other reviews. Would recommend this hotel. Some of the fittings are a bit old. If it was upgraded - then price would lift to suit. But if you look at the price paying - I defy any one to find better value for money anywhere else in Dublin. We will be back to Pearse Hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good value and only a 15 minute walk to Temple Bar"
Decent food and nice and quiet if away from the road (except my last night when I think I had a DJ mixing crew above me - but they went quiet about 11.30).Genuine Expedia guest review
"An excellent all-round hotel suitable for families"
An excellent and very-affordable stay for two adults and two young children (aged 25 months and five months) including breakfast all around booked through expedia for exactly the same cost as for a single adult room with breakfast for one. On arrival, front-desk staff quickly directed us to the secure underground car park which was a bargain for the […] centre of Dublin at EUR10 per night! He then bent over backwards for us because the door to our room would not open wide enough to fit our wheelchair-size double buggy through (despite it fitting through the frame no problem); it involved moving to a different room and taking the door stopper out of the floor so that the door could then open right up against the wall thus making room for the buggy to squeeze through. The staff at the brasserie and breakfast, dinner, and at abstract times were also very kind and helpful providing high chairs, warm milk, and kindly heating-up supermarket-bought meals for the little ones when needed. Overall, apart from slightly outdated decoration and the taps being a bit difficult to turn off at the sink (since the washers had worn a little and the taps tended to occasionally re-open and allow water to run into the sink), an excellent hotel right near the heart of the City of Dublin, a few minutes walk from Pearse train station and Trinity College Dublin, with excellent food, staff, and well-above-average service. Thank you! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
I remembered when this hotel was the Holiday Inn several years ok. It has moved on well with improvements in the main public areas. The bar area was nice, clean and well stocked. The menu looked reasonably priced with a nice selection to choose from. Did not have meals here as was out most of the time. Breakfast was excellent though, with a nice choice […] from buffet of fresh hot and cold choices. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Bedrooms were spacious with tea, coffee making, TV, iron and ironing board in room. Room did however lack a safe and a quick coat if paint throughout would make room more appealing. Bathroom is a little dated and could do with new sealant around tiles and bath etc as even this would would help freshen it up. Overall it was a very pleasant stay and to be honest I have paid far more money to stay in some dreadful hotels - so well done to the Pearse Hotel for an enjoyable stay! "Needs an update!"
The hotel is ok but really needs sn update. Shower was terrible: water extremely hit or totaly cold... We asked for more pillows because they were so thin but nobody brougth it to us. Breakfast was really expensive for what they offer and the orange juice was the most sour one! The location is not the best but is ok. Not very far from the back of trinity […] college. "Overall satisfied with the stay"
The room was nice, clean and spacious. Bed was nice and big and comfy. However the receptionist was rude to a customer on the phone when they were inquiring about prices and just hung up on them. not a good first impression on the hotel.
