Excellent night spent in this hotel. Room 124 we stayed in was top notch recently refurbished. Bed was nicest I've had in a hotel. Only down point was could have done with an extra towel but that is a minor detail. 15 or 20 min walk to 3 arena or o connell streetGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Ideal location for staying in Dublin city centre"
Attended Jesus Christ Superstar in Bord Gais Energy Theatre on Saturday, 7/02/15. The Maldron Hotel, Pearse Street was an ideal base as it was only 5 minutes walk to Bord Gais and 13 minutes walk to O'Connell Street. After the show, we visited Temple Bar and got a taxi back to the hotel. Fare was only €7.50. While there is obvious work being done on […] the hotel, this does not take away from the service you get. We were on the 3rd floor and the room was recently decorated to a very modern spec. Breakfast was lovely and I could not compliment the Staff enough. Very helpful and efficient throughout the hotel. Underground parking was €10 per night (limited places and cannot be pre-booked) and was very secure. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Convenient, Cheap and Clean"
Enjoyed my stay here 2 weeks ago was for an interview and they allowed early check in for me without any extra cost, rooms recently done up lovely and clean and shower was fab with lots of pressure. Hotel is in middle of renovation but would definitely come back.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Very tired building threadbare carpets and corridors not clean You could say you get what you pay for it was chosen by someone on my behalf Based on this experience I would not use the hotel group at all in the future.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great night away - pity about the builders!"
Myself and my boyfriend booked to stay here on the Friday night of our work party. Our welcome was warm and friendly and I couldn't fault the staff service. When we went to our room the hallway smelt damp and there was visible stains on the ceiling. That did not bother us because our room was huge, bright and very clean. The bathroom was massive! Unfortunately […] the TV wouldn't switch on but we didn't care! Hotel was great that we could come in late and there was someone to welcome us. The next morning construction workers began working at 9 am, we were woken up by hammers, banging, drills etc. It was relentless until we checked out at 12. Not the best noise when nursing a hangover. When we were checking out we mentioned it to the gentleman on the desk and he did apologise. I would stay again, it's good for a night or two just to put the head down. Main thing is its clean, safe and staff are so friendly. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great hotel for city break and shopping."
My Daughter and I stayed at the Maldron for a shopping trip to the city. We found the hotel very comfortable and quite. We had a room on the 1st floor at the back . The beds were very comfortable and the shower was excellent I think we had one of their newly refurbished rooms. We had a lovely stay. The choice at breakfast was good and the food was excellent. "Clean and comfortable hotel"
About 15 minutes walk from Trinity College this Maldron hotel is on the docklands tourist bus route and service bus route to the city. There is a restaurant and bar, and the hotel is about to undergo a major refurbishment. The twin bedroom was a good size with comfortable beds and en-suite with shower over the bath. Decor was dated but the room was […] clean and comfortably warm. All the staff were friendly and helpful and the 10 euro breakfast was buffet style and good value. Very convenient location for Bord Gais Energy theatre - just 5 mins walk. Room was basic but it was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very poor. Food was tasteless and choice was not good.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
My stay was for business but I included a performance at Bord Gais theatre which is very close and one of the reasons I picked this hotel. The only problem I had was that the room I was given was a smoking room and smelt it! My fault- I assumed in this day and age there were no longer smoking rooms in hotels and I had not specifically asked for non […] smoking room. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Cheap and not very cheerful - except the staff."
We arrived in the afternoon and we're greeted by Nabil who was very welcoming and amiable. Good start. He advised me of how to gain entry to carpark and we checked in. All was going well. We then entered our room which was a tad dated to say the least but when you are only spending a certain amount you mustn't grumble too much. The major bugbear though […] was the fact that only 2 out of 6 lights worked in our room and the hassle trying to gain wifi access through bitbuzz is an absolute shambles and being a regular visitor of hotels and B & B's I have never encountered such a shambolic service provider. Having said this, the food was of a high quality and the young barman was very attentive and helpful. Overall summation would be dilapidated hotel in need of revamp with the benefit of having really good front of house and kitchen staff. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Ideal Dublin Marathon accommodation"
The Pearse Hotel is a clean, comfortable, no-frills establishment and ideal for anyone wishing to compete in the Dublin City Marathon in late October. Located no more than a ten-minute walk from the start, and even closer to the finish, the Pearse was perfectly situated for easy access to start/finish areas in Fitzwilliam Street and Merrion Square […] respectively. Although Pearse Street itself is a large, busy boulevard, traffic noise from the hotel was minimal; indeed I enjoyed my best pre-marathon sleep to date. If you're interested in sight-seeing, the hotel is about a ten-minute walk from the nearest hop-on-hop-off open-top bus stop, and is a similar distance from the ever-popular Temple Bar area of the city. Stayed here whilst doing the marathon. WOW!! So close to start/finish line. Shop next door and 2 take away places that suited the kids. Hotel service great and room suited our needs with a big bathroom. Only downside was room was too warm and couldn't switch radiator down/off. Will definitely be back.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice friendly staff"
My friend and I really enjoyed our visit to Ireland. The hotel staff were very accommodating , professional helpful and friendly. The double beds were great , the food, particularly the breakfast was lovely. The down sides were the rooms were a little dated , bath and skirting boards were very dirty . The towels were not replenished daily. The food […] and drink for breakfast was not topped up quickly enough , resulting in having to wait for plates, bread , drinks and hot food . Also having to wait to be seated was a problem as nobody was about to take you to a table. Overall the staff were great and nothing was too much trouble . Colin in particular was a great host . "Comfortable hotel, good breakfast, free wi-fi"
Good hotel for business travellers or a couple. Convenienet to both the city centre and to Ballsbridge; good buffet breakfast (incl. full Irish); comfortable room; adequately enough room, given that it was on the street (the double glazing did a good enough job); free wi-fi (even if you have to go through the BitBuzz registration nonsense). The only […] downsides are that the bulbs did not work on either of the room lamps, and the TV reception was poor on all channels. I had dealings with only two staff, one at reception when I signed in (a very welcoming chap of about 40 or so), the other at reception later (a younger, aloof chap). Overall, I'd recommend it, and I'd be happy to stay there again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Practical hotel suited our needs."
This hotel was a standard 3* but gave us more than expected. I was staying with my 18 year old son and had booked a twin room but we got two king size beds, nice crisp linen and good duvets. A very large room and bathroom. positioned to give us access to the centre of Dublin which was a 15 minute walk and the RDS stadium that was about 2 miles. "A hotel in dire need of a considerable uplift"
I am not in the habit of completing these questionnaires but there is always a first. Plus points-helpful staff, safe car parking, if a little tight, at additional cost. Pleasant enough breakfast at additional cost. Our main issue was the bedroom accommodation. This room was, to say the least, tired and clearly hadn't seen anything by way of maintaining […] an acceptable standard for this day and age. There was a fusty smell reminding us of stale cigarette smoke, worn stained carpet and a TV from the 70s offering only 4 channels. To be fair beds were comfortable. Bathroom was equally tired but did provide a decent selection of towels. Bearing in mind the high price paid for this room one expects much better which only adds to the disappointment. I understand from discussions that this place has been recently sold to a hotel chain and dramatic improvements are being considered. We will see. Not that I will be checking it out in the future. There is too much choice in Dublin. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Nice hotel, handy for city centre"
Spent three days here visiting the various bars in Dublin It's a nice comfortable hotel, offering a great Irish and continental breakfast Could do with a little bit of TLC to bring the room furniture up to date (lamps, some cracked plug sockets) but for the price you couldn't expect moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Staff need some training..."
We arrived at the Pearse Hotel after travelling from Vancouver. We were exhausted. It took us a long time to find the hotel to find that the fellow at the front desk was an idiot. He was very rude and condescending because we could not find the hotel parking lot. It was not the welcome we were hoping for. Later the same evening I heard him reply to […] another couple who were looking for a good pub that there are good pubs on all corners...afterall, it is Dublin. I would not recommend this place due to this fellow`s nasty sarcastic attitude. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Close to grand canal theatre"
Not very happy with stay. The room was very clean, comfy bed but the staff weren't very friendly or helpful. We stayed there due to its closeness to the bord gais energy theatre. After the show we thought we might be able to get something to eat in the hotel, but the night staff directed us to a chip shop and apache pizza which was nearby. They didnt […] really seem interested in the fact that it states 24hr service on their room information, and I don't think customer service is their forte. Similarly in the morning when we checked out, we were aware that we had missed breakfast but the staff again didnt suggest an alternative or even point out where food had been served or even if it still was, we'll never know they just didnt seem bothered. I wouldn't stay there again, the area looks rough and the attitude of the staff was very dissappointing. the only positive thing I can say about this hotel, is that it was conveniently located. "Good hotel for price and location"
Theres some horror stories of reviews about the hotel but I decided to chance it for a Sunday night stay and found the hotel to be perfectly fine as theres no stags or hens or other party animals normally roaming on a Sunday night! The room and bathroom were clean and pretty much in good order with only small gripes like old fashioned taps, no flat […] screen tv and the likes reminding you that youre in an economy hotel. Checkin was no problem and any member of staff i encountered was more than pleasant. The location is perfect for going to a show in the Grand Canal (bord gais energy) theatre but even to/ from the airport is handy with the aircoach going hourly from a stop 200m away. My parents were staying in the Maldron round the corner which is undoubtedly a better hotel with nicer rooms and common areas, but even they were impressed in a way with the Pearse as a place that is more than adequate if all you want is a bed for the night without paying the earth. And to answer the all important judgement call as to whether I'd stay there again, I definitely would (but I'd be wary of weekends from other reports!) Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
